That is the great thing that bitcoin can do for everyone, but because of that, the financial industries and governments do not like bitcoin. They cannot regulate bitcoins and they fear that one day people will switch to cryptocurrencies instead of fiat.

I am sure most of the members of this forum already know that the real use case Bitcoin is very good to use to send money from one
country to another country. But unfortunately many people outside this forum don't know about it, it's our job to educate others who
don't know that sending money with Bitcoin is much better than using a bank.

Great! Amongst the advantages of bitcoin, this happens to be my favorite. Being about to transact with people across the world. Since I got to know about bitcoin, I've worked for different people who I never knew in person, and they always paid in bitcoin(though the fee can be a challenge) or in other cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin can really make you grow because you can learn how to take risk, how to make yourself stronger, how to get up from failures and how to have a goal in your life. You may also learn a lot of things on bitcoin when it comes to having a business just like how to make yourself about the new season of your business or how can you make your product popular just like what is happening in bitcoin, it is better if you make the price higher if the demand goes high and lower if demand go low.

It's good to read that people are sharing how bitcoin helped them with their personal problems, Bitcoin also helped to solved major ones from democracy, and fundraising to support free movements. In that case, bitcoin always serves as the bridge to the gap we have with an assurance that there will be no third-party to control it.

OP you could invite your friend to join here and learn further with bitcoin to understand it deeper as we couldn't consider adoption with just a little experience, real adoption will start when they fully understand what bitcoin is in a sense that they will be responsible enough to use it.

It was such a great experience with bitcoin, we only pay a very small fee to transfer large sums of money to great distances.
If you enter the cryptocurrency market, you will experience more amazing things, when your investment is profitable.
However, be careful with the risks that the market can bring.

Unfortunately, most people in the world still don't realize how beneficial Bitcoin is if you need to make an international transactions, People would rather waste their money on huge fees and wait for days than try something new. It has been theorized that Bitcoin could achieve mass adoption as an international money transfer method, but for some reasons it failed to do it so far.

In time they will, everything in due time, looking back to when btc was first introduce to the world, only a handful of people accept it then but now the number of people who embrace and accept btc has gone up more than what it use to be, i believe the number will keep growing, this time people will discover btc on their own when they run out of choice just like the friend of op, and then they will embrace btc with open hands,
I don't think it failed, i think the awareness is very limited, it can only fail when it doesn't work but in this case not many people are aware which is very different.

Glad that your friend experienced how btc can be use as payments without a hassle. That's the start, you influence him how yo use bitcoin then probably if he/she learns how to benefit from btc, your friend will also encourage others to also use btc. How great that he transferred btc  without some issues even he's a first timer. Good thing, too you were there to guide your friend.

I wonder how much miners fee did your friend set up to get confirmed the same day. Since transaction fees today are so damn high, and I'm surprised he didn't reacted so much (I assume since you didn't mentioned about it) about how expensive it was

Of course, he doesn't care about the fees because he only thinks about how to transfer the btc successfully. But time will come he'll gonna realized he paid for huge fees to prioritize his transaction  Grin. Well, Op will give out explanaion to his friend about this transfer fee and everything.

You can ask the other friends to do the same thing as what you did to help bitcoin spreads out among the people in many places. Bitcoin really saves your time and your friend about wanting the money at the same time, especially if you and other people don't have the same bank. Perhaps, there are many other stories about bitcoin from other people who we don't know.

I am sure that you and your friends now understand the basics of the use of bitcoin. I believe that soon after many people do what @OP does, bitcoin can grow more. Despite the high fee of the bitcoin transaction, this is a good story about using bitcoin.

I am always happy if anyone is helped by Bitcoin, the experiences in the opening post many of have experienced it.
Bitcoin is indeed very effective for sending money between countries, in addition to being cheaper than banks.
The transaction process is also quite fast, I often send money using Bitcoin to my family and friends who are
in different countries.

im expecting another heart warming story of a user and how btc help them financialy although your case was different but there is still a financial ( money ) and a help on it involved . who suggested to use btc , was it you ? that was still impressive even if he educate himself in his own for a short period of time because he confidently trust btc . he is different from the other people that we know that wont try btc just because they never tried using it before and they also hear negative stories with it . you are also amazing op because you didnt lost your trust in btc while majority are complaining on how high the fee was in btc

so my friend has money but not same bank as me he was different country but he wanted to give money to me and i need it fast so he bought bitcoin and i got money same day Smiley

he never used bitcoins and he thinks now its amazing:)  btc really solved that situation that he had different bank then me and not possible physically to give money

That's great.Did he pay a big transaction fee for sending the Bitcoins and what service did he use to buy Bitcoin?I assume that he paid horrible fees just to buy and send BTC,but I hope that buying BTC with fiat will become way cheaper in the near future.
Having different banks in different countries doesn't seem like a big problem to me.He could have used remittance services like Western Union or Moneygram.
However,it's always great news to know that one more soldier joined the Bitcoin army.

I don't request loans~
Well, not only that, it's really quite helpful whenever I need to pay some stuff, and Payment via Bitcoin is available. There were times back then when my card was unavailable, so I had to find some other ways to pay for stuff I want, glad that they really accepted Bitcoin back then since I was really bothered with how I was going to pay back then.

I have my card now though so I just really use Bitcoin for hodling instead now. Still, this proves the wonders of Bitcoin since as long as the merchant accepts it, it basically removes any type of limit that you have, whether it be a limit due to where you live, or a limit due to having access to less methods of payment.

Good for you experiencing the wnders of decentralized currency. I had mine a while back, really needed the money to buy some necessity, banks are intimidating for a student like me. The wonders of bitcoin never stops to amaze me, I am currently saving to have funds for trading and investing. There are transaction fees though, but this is not an inconvenience as the fees in my country is minimal and not that eyebrow raising because they are transparent with their transaction.

I think this is the best way for him to use bitcoin and not use a bank to send money, so this way he doesn't get a big cut by buying Bitcoin to transfer you, but what confuses me is, you say your friend never uses Bitcoin then how does he know Bitcoin and how to transfer it? whether he asks other people to tell him how it works or you tell him how to buy and transfer Bitcoin, if you teach him how to buy and transfer, it's really a very good lesson for him to know how to use Bitcoin which is easy compared to banks.

Nevertheless, that's a good thing hearing someone learned about how Bitcoin help bridge the gap of traditional banking system.

I wonder too. But I think as long as the goal is achieved now, the sender didn't care for the fee because it's for a friend that needs the money as soon as possible.

The receiver should explain more about the bitcoin fees to encourage their friend to use bitcoin regularly in a transaction like this. Even if the sender thinks bitcoin is amazing, the sender will remember the fees so high, and I'm sure if it's not urgent, the sender will find another method to send money with a lesser transaction fee.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but buying and selling Bitcoin Exchange requires KYC especially when the payment method involves Bank payments. There's no 1-day process KYC approval in exchanges. Or maybe your friend use an ATM or instant exchanges?

Can you share the method?

But the more important thing, that's great that you were able to teach your friend to use BTC instead.

But here in our country, or to be specific, what my relatives abroad use in transferring money, they now have an application used wherein sending money here is 1-click. The recipient will receive their money thru banks and it was really fast and almost instant compare several years before that it takes a week. But I think the availability depends on the supported country.

This was also my thing when I was working abroad for a few years. Sending money back to my home country was never as convenient as when I was using Bitcoin. I started using remittance centers and banks which gave me a lot of hassle, time consuming, and most of all expensive.

I believe Bitcoin's utility is very strong in cross-country transactions, especially involving relatively large amounts. My fellow expat workers back then were also Bitcoin users due to this factor.
