https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
Was it within your last hundred posts, if so you can do what I do and go here to find it? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts
Drafts only save a week's work, its limited only to hundred.
Ah yes, I didn't notice the 7 days thing. Although if he made it this week then it's alright.

I suppose that product id could be mistaken for profile id or something similar, although they could see that it was bitmain and they don't often give out referral links.
Its a possibility, but maybe someone reported it?
But why???

Hilariousandco might be able to shed some light on who deleted it. Although I doubt the actual moderator will come. I think it won't be gmaxwell as he moderates the alternative clients section quite well. Could be one of the other two though...
It's not strict moderation, it's deleting most of the posts at this rate!
Hilariousandco won't be able to tell,AFAIK. Last time when something had happened in the mining section, theymos said it wasn't -ck, nor Frodocropper. Maybe this time too its the same mod who deleted the posts last time? Maybe?
He's a global moderator so he should be able to see who deleted that post shouldn't he? Much like Theymos can?

I remember the topic, I was the one who pointed you to the other thread; along with the backstory on the other topics.

I'm surprised that these topics aren't just being locked if they consider them to have to much overlap. It would be more helpful to maintaining a discussion. Lock the topic with a final reply.

It's not uncommon for the discussion centered around hardware to turn into a megathread, and yes not all posts can be great within those threads. It does help in preventing 50-100 threads popping up centered around every piece of hardware.

While the topic isn't starting out with a lot of great info asking your question there could help turn the discussion.

EDIT: Here is the original meta about the first 4 topics started on the subject.

Theymos's final reply should have served as a gentle guide to how your topic should have been handled.

How is my thread similar to theirs?
Asking how a liquid cooling radiator could be applied to an antminer s9 hydro is similar to a general enquirey/announcement of the miner - hmmm?
I'm going to just have to find something else to do with an abundance of free electricity because clearly no one's interested in helping aspiring miners to start...

It happened to me once too.

I made a big post about mining and energy consumption. It received many merits

But the moderator in the mining board just deleted without any message.

I don't mind if he deleted my topic because he considers it trash.
However I lost what I wrote, which I worked for some minutes writing it. If I had received a pm  I would have a copy of that deleted post...

I thought that moderator was too rude not sending a pm

It would appear that the mods don't know the difference between an s9 and an s9 hydro

Man, It's the same Samsung device! It's just that the hydro version can be used underwater, in your bath, etc...
we all know that!
Sometimes the most experienced fella in the herd can miss the very basic  (Smiley) In that case I guess - the explanation from Jet Cash had a point.   Grin
Hmm, it could be.
I liked the joke Robert Grin!

@jack: I am sure there will be some explanation from the mod who deleted it. We better wait for him/her.
Yes that's probably best.

I am having another thought. Look at the URL...
I stubled across this today: https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=00020180824185106363KYTqeq8S06C4

I hope mod didn't think that pid=00020180824185106363KYTqeq8S06C4 could be referral link? I can assure you that sometimes (some) mods don't even check the full post before they delete it.

I suppose that product id could be mistaken for profile id or something similar, although they could see that it was bitmain and they don't often give out referral links.

There has been some other complains as well about replies and threads being deleted without any known reasoning. Mods will surely have to clarify this as users would get disappointed by such things. I, personally, would definitely feel bad if any of my replies or topics get deleted while they shouldn't.

They might already have been if I didn't get a notification from it then yours could have been deleted without getting a pm too!

If I remember well I've read it somewhere in Meta that moderation in the Mining section is the strictest in the forum...
Let's see what will be the answer from the mod

There you go. Another one! At-least you are not someone who will not know about the stuffs of getting a post deleted. AFAIK you are one of the member who is well aware about the rules of the forum, you are not a random guy here.

Well thanks for the support. I'm not entirely sure what's gone on here...

Anyway, mods and users can make mistakes. I am sure there is an explanation for that.
Yes they can, but I was warned by a user who replied to my topic that it would probably get deleted, I should've archived it with that warning (although I didn't think the warning was credible because it's a bit of an odd one)...

When you are saying thread meaning you are saying it was your topic?

Yes. A topic I made...

I went through my drafts and found it:

I'm wondering if, by the name and the fact there's an optional "radiator" you can buy, does this mean it's water cooled (I noticed it's quieter but :I'm not sure what 50dB sounds like, if anyone could enlighten me - I think it's fairly quiet though).

Also, will it be fairly simple to attach all the parts together does anyone know?

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
I made a thread about the new antminer s9 hydro. It got trashed by the mods for some unknown reason (maybe I'll repost it in serious discussion).

I got redirected to another thread on it filled with utter shit.

All I wanted to know was how difficult the radiator for water cooling would be to add and got nothing but a deleted topic and a waste of time (don't reply to my question here though).

EDIT, my OP which I found going through my drafts.
