The word is UNITY. A group of people come together to achieve a goal. They must work together and all believe in and work toward that goal. Too many times ,in the world of cryptos, unity was lost. The reasons are not important because they are only excuses. The "team" is what puts value for the goal.I am nauseous from the promises made and the promises that failed.

looks like they are splitting their ways. Its good and also bad.
Looks like same design and same backend for me. Nothing new but its always good to have a competitor.

they are two different online wallets, maybe there are some shared devs, but surely it is not a rebrand

and can explain how this can affect the work of the wallet? I understand that it's just that the company from the founders decided to start its own project. So?

No. No! It's not a rebrand. But I bet that is what she wants you to think. In August 2017 before he knew, she started crypto company and then did a fork. She asked for $1 million from him but refused to give him any financial paperwork to validate value. She then closed the MEW LLC and to get her marketing going really quick (lol), she took over the MEW Twitter account, rebranding it. She left him the core code and a few employees apparently. This info is in the legal documents online. Check for yourself. But, I wish we'd unfollow her and let her start with her fork as everyone does.. really ticks me off.

Well i do not think there was no agreement before the change, there may have been some disagreement but the other co-founder would have known about the change as well, after all, the same team will be supporting both MEW and MC.

From what khvnuke posted on reddit, it seems that there will be a new team for MEW.
I'm just gonna quote what he wrote.
Quote
Instead, my focus will be (as it’s always been) on how best to improve MEW for existing and prospective users. Security is paramount these days, and me and my new team will remain vigilant in ensuring that the MEW website, your accounts, and more importantly, your ether and tokens, are safe.

So basically they are now a different entity, MEW is not MC and vice versa. I'll stick to MEW, didn't like how MC showed up.

Edit:

Read this, maybe this could shed some light on what really is happening. Got it on reddit.

Is this true? I have not heard any news yet. It's better to be careful that it's just a phishing site. It is better if we have the MEW's official statement about it
You haven't heard? I think you're too lazy to search it's confirmed on twitter news but we can still use MEW normally and site mycrypto is not an phishing site.

It's very simple, the founder team has split up into MEW and MC. Both seem to be legit from a cursory glance, just led by different people.
I see so this what happened? Is there any gap between the devs of MEW and MC?
It was all a very confusing situation.
I'm also confuse and I'm not going to use MC as long as MEW is existing if they are about to change the URL then whenever we visit MEW it should redirect to MC.

Until there is an official announcement, i don't think its wise to use the new wallet. There was no announcement about any segregation, i would prefer mew even if there is a lot of problems that have been recently bothering users.

Here is a short review of this update and previous history of the product: MyCrypto: A New Beginning From MyEtherWallet Founder
The founder of MyEtherWallet had evolved into a fulltime product with a team. Because of this, he said it was time for a new beginning, which included a rebranding. As part of the change, the team behind the wallet has overhauled MyEtherWallet codebase and rewrote it for the MyCrypto platform.

If you have not seen the official information at least on twitter. I do not think that leaving your private key on other sites is a good idea. Therefore, it is better to wait for the official information. Personally, I have not heard anything about this

Only the twitter account, not the MEW address, we wait for the news circulating whether phishing or true...
