I disagree, I think the .zone forum was an environment that encouraged investments within the community. At least for me personally, I bought more when I became enthusiastic about the project and the .zone forum had something to do with it as well...

That wasn't the teams fault, the forum was run be a community member. He should be blamed for closing it down.

Why did you believe those people in the first place ? The price was higher when the zone forums were up purely because bitcoin was in the low $200s. It's doubled in price recently. Most traders are sitting on the sidelines to see what bitcoin is going to do, if it goes to $1000 then dont be shocked to see 150 sat Gulden, if it goes back to $200 then you will see 600 sat prices again.

Until Gulden breaks into mainstream the price will be determined by traders. Those individuals blaming the forum changes know this but whatelse could they say negative about gulden.

I am waiting for the android update where we can spend at all Gulden and bitcoin merchants. This feature makes it more useful then all other alt coins.

Definitely, finally an altcoin with real practical value! Imagine, soon you can just pull out your smartphone and pay with Gulden anywhere in the world where bitcoin is accepted! It's much better than bitcoin because you don't want to buy coffee for 0.0000232424 bitcoin, rather you want to pay with 10 or 100 gulden, much easier.

Looking forward to the developments in 2016. Devs are all about do work rather than pump the coin with cheap talk like most altcoins. Wink

Gulden definitely one of my favorite coins.

It's the one currency I don't care about the price because you getting good value no matter what happens.

Don't play around! The new forum must be basic with a familiar feel that can work for everyone involved.

I must agree with litesire. The people that left didn't want some fancy forum. It must be clean, easy on the eyes and have the basic text settings with color, font types etc. The first forum was ideal as most people have worked with simple machines.

Good luck Jero it won't be easy to please everyone and the forums have almost destroyed the community in the past. Your forum if done right might be the binding force needed to bring the community together once more. It will be fascinating to see all those that left over the new forum come back to Gulden.

Jero will the development team also support your new forum ? This is also important.

We have spoken with Jero and agreed that we wont be supporting the new forum, this is also not necessary as it is a forum for and by the community. Also the majority of the members are also active on Slack, which is now up to 71 unique members.
