Hi everyone,

I would like to give you some insight to our strategy and development. You probably have noticed that after the four serious merchants it has been a bit quiet on that side. Well I would like to explain why. Our vision is still the same and very clear, making sure people can use their Guldencoins in daily life. It should be the most easy and fun payment method. And we are very realistic about that. At the moment any merchant can accept Guldencoin, the tools are there. But the tools arent good enough. They work and we are very happy and lucky with those four pioneering merchants, because they help us improve those tools. Those tools are the real key, we can say its easy and quick, but merchants have to see and feel its easy and quick. It should be so easy to accept Guldencoin that a merchant can set it up in an hour and understands how it works in 5 minutes. It should be because it can be, and thats the power of Guldencoin and cryptocurrency. So we are not actively approaching merchants at the moment, but what we are doing is working day and night to make the system better so that when we actively approach merchants we have the best solution. A solution they cannot refuse.

But this is not everything. Because just as an important aspect is the community. And wow do we have an awesome community. I cannot keep saying this enough, because its what gives us so much inspiration and energy. You guys impress us and we will do our very best to do the same!

Slow, steady progress is also progress (and probably better than fast changes and a long silence afterwards).

Thanks for keeping us updated. Indeed, this is a great community. I still have to buy more GuldenCoin before the coin gains value fastly.

I would really want to suggest to you that you look at the Bristol Pound. There was and episode of Tegenlicht about Local Currencies, the Bristol Pound was in there.

Maybe it is an option for you to find out who printed the original Guldens and start printing some again. To get a place in society you need some form of paper money, just like the Bristol Pound.

Besides, you could approach local governments and explain them what they can win by helpin to adopt the local currency. I've read in the guardian that a local currency offers five times more economic development to the local economy than a national/supranational currency does. Simply because the currency does not leak away to other areas.

My advice: read how succesfull local currencies (printed versions) have developed. De GuldenCoin has more potential than those, because it offers a digital infrastructure next to it.

also read:

http://www.centerforneweconomics.org/publications/authors/witt/susan/local-currencies

http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes/Pages/localcurrencies/default.aspx

http://www.theguardian.com/local-government-network/2013/jun/17/bristol-pound-local-currencies

http://brixtonpound.org/

Use facts to convince others and learn from the experience of previous succesfull local currency initiatives. The Netherlands is probably one of the most suitable countries for these kind of initiatives.

I think you guys will like it Wink  based on some suggestions I decided to redesign it a bit.
Now 8 screens instead of 4, with a bit more information.

For now only a dutch version.

Icebear, are you part of the dev team, or just a fan?  If you're just a fan, has anyone kicked you down some coin for your work?  If not, send me your address and I'll send you some for helping the community out.

Those bounties really made me smile after that shit with ShareXcoin. There are still good people in crypto  Smiley Thank you!

I would recommend bittrex and swisscex to be safe.

Yes I know, I also use them, but ShareXcoin was building some nice features.
However, I haven't lost that much, just around 50 euros. I read about someone who lost 16 btc there  Lips sealed That's terrible.

I lost btc on coinmarket.io , that was scam exchange, possibly one of the worst in recent times. After that I just can't bring myself to trying new exchanges.  Bittrex and swisscex I have
np with using either.
What to think about Coinex... Wow that Russian muppet played it smart, first ran with the money. Came back apologized, put the website back online and people where partialy able to trade / withdraw so he scammed them again. Lost quite some Zeit over there, but thats worthless now so it doesn't hurt that much.
