    • Secured by SHA256d

    - BOO!!

    • Forked from Zetacoin

    - YAWN, wake me up when its over...

    • Initial Money Supply: Still on the table, but I am thinking somewhere about 21 million
    • No PoS (but my mind can be changed)

    - YAY!!

    • Unlimited PoW, but with some 'twists'. CONFIDENTIAL at the moment, but project members will have full disclosure of all information

    - Inflationary coins don't do that well. But whatever its your coin.

    • Block Reward schedule is CONFIDENTIAL at the moment, but project members will have full disclosure of all information
    • The name is still undecided, but I have ideas.  One thing is for sure, it will not be named "WHATEVER-Coin".

Have you thought about waiting for Bitshares to release 2.0 and then use their graphene toolkit to create your coin? Would be cool to have a "mineable bitshares" that has a fair release. Of course triple algo to allow everyone to participate. Sha256/Scrypt/X11.. Just thinking out loud.

Yes Quark algo  would be nice.  Smiley[/list]

Initial draft for the job description of the position we need to fill initially.

Upon hire, your primary task is to assist in filling the remaining vacancies.  You and I will work closely together to compose a proper job description, interview and select candidates.

    Position Description
    Compliance Officer/HR Director/Talent Acquisition/Director of Finances

This is a high-level role with multiple responsibilities. Your skills are essential in the success of our project.  Ideally the candidate would have experience in business accounting/finances and should be knowledgeable with financial regulation and compliance laws in North/South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.  However some familiarity with financial law and compliance for just the U.S.A is acceptable so long as your are capable of conducting proper research to ensure our project is in compliance with the laws of the country.

Your responsibilities may at some point include.

    • Ensuring that our project is meeting all legal requirements for conducting business in the United States on the federal and state level.
    • Ensuring that our organization is properly registered as a corporate entity and is in compliance US and local government labor and tax law.
    • Our organization may at some point provide products that will fall under the “Money Service Business”.  You will assist us in ensuring that we meet any and all requirements for registering as a MSB.
    • As director of finance, it is your responsibility to responsibly manage our projects finances, determine needed capital, etc...  In Both fiat and crypto currency.

In addition to corporate compliance and finances your responsibilities will include that of human resources and talent acquisition.   You will seek out new talent to fill in open vacancies, handle the procurement of staff and (initially) write some job descriptions.  As the acting HR director to will at some point need to handle payroll and compliance with state and local government employment laws.

If at any point the responsibility of one or more of these roles require a dedicated individual, you will be responsible for procuring, seeking, and training the needed talent to fill the new role while ensuring a smooth transition.

    Experience and Education Requirements

At the very least you should have some experience managing subordinates and have the required knowledge to perform your job's responsibilities to the best of your ability.

    • Bachlors Degree from 4 year college
    • Verbal communication
    • Read/Write English

Nice, so you are uber-skilled no-money CEO/CTO looking for uber-skilled williing no money folks to run cryptocurrency which will bring you all a money.
The problem is those who dont need extra money cant be convinced with money-maybe-someday. Because they don't care.
The best would be if you first prove your uber-skill, then look for those who will work for you for free. Those who are not looking for cash will accept you because of your skill. Or just get a job, earn some money and pay those who need money for the things you want them to do.
That advice is free of charge.

Or just get a job, earn some money

I am employed full time and earn a good yearly salary using the same skills I listed in the OP.

and pay those who need money for the things you want them to do.

My current employment provides enough fiat currency for just me.

The problem is those who dont need extra money cant be convinced with money-maybe-someday.

I'm not asking these people to give up there current jobs and come work for me.  I (along with them and the community in general) should understand that we will do this in our free time out of desire and not need.  Should we be successful, then it's up to them what they should do next.

    Because they don't care.

I think there are some who would care.  Proof: Bitcoin and that vast amount of other open source projects in general.

The best would be if you first prove your uber-skill

In time I will prove myself.  I just announced this project only hour ago.
I've given this project thought for several months and today I made the effort developing an initial plan and posting it here on Bitcoin Talk's altcoin announcement section.

then look for those who will work for you for free.

Not asking anyone to 'work for free'.  I will pay them with the new currency.  I know it's worth 0 now.  BTC was also worth 0 at one point too.

Nice, so you are uber-skilled no-money CEO/CTO looking for uber-skilled williing no money folks to run cryptocurrency which will bring you all a money.

This assumption is wrong.  Please read the OP.

I will put together a proper job description for the first multi-role position and post it in a moment.

    Quote
Compliance Officer, HR Director, Talent Acquisition, Director of Finances

After that, it's the aforementioned person's duties to write the job descriptions Smiley

Hehe, The choice for SHA256 is not arbitrary, it's chosen for technical reasons. (for example, to have it merge minable with ZET and BTC, updated the OP)

    • Forked from Zetacoin

    - YAWN, wake me up when its over...

I know, it's nothing fancy but simple is beautiful.  Besides, it's also about the 'project' not the just the coin

    - Inflationary coins don't do that well. But whatever its your coin.

I get that, which is why there is a 'twist' to the block reward schedule.  Most I can disclose is that the inflation will be small.

I will look at Bitshares (I know nothing of it at the moment).  However I would like to have this project start out from something based off Bitcoin/Zetacoin.

If you have all skilled required for crypto development, just launch a good coin which we only have few in the industry, few premine coins can fund your project to support you as well  Smiley

I've considered that option many times, but I've seen how other 'developers' like me have tried to do it on their own only to become overwhelmed.  I am well aware of the amount of effort that needs to be put into a successful project and organization.  This is not something 1 person can do.
Ya totally agree, its not 1 person's job but we lack good devs and many coins are dead without developer so if you got everything on programming side then you can find a good team and supportive people im sure. And good thing you put your proposal here so many people are looking a top man like you in crypto industry, hope someone will pick you up for a good alt development. Good luck!!

p.s. dont forget poor miners  Wink and wish you all the best!!

      Faraonic idea!

How will be choosen the name of the coin?

The name and/or method of selecting the name is still undecided.  However, once the vacancies get filled and we have a good plan in place I am sure we will start to ponder on the subject.  Perhaps letting the 'community' submit ideas, then the project members would select a few, and put it up for a vote.
