Well, That's Crypto :-\
need some help friends getting my NAS off poloniex.

I emailed them the other day and requested they re-sync and re-enable withdraws which they did but my withdraws yielded errors.

Polo support has been very responsive, here is their latest:
Quote from: Poloniex Support
The error it's giving is "Unknown account." Do you have any addresses you have used before, or do you have the public keys for any of these?"

I have had the 0.2.2 wallet on my machine for ~6 months but never used it because polo said the chain was stuck.

could use some help :-)

thanks,
john

poloniex ? my nas disappear from poloniex for so long time ,i think when they take the nas from exchange ,then they delete all nas .

That's why they always announce it in advance so you can withdraw your coins immediately before they delist any coins in their exchange.

My 1M+ NAS are still on polo but as stated above I cant withdraw them  Cry

I am still a big NAS stakeholder but I lost the trust into a positive development of NAS in the future. Why don't you think about of merging NAS with another NXT-based coin like HORIZON? It could be a good step to bring NAS ahead and the network will get stablizied too.

I'm not sure if poloniex even tried to connect/sync there node. I still have some nas there and till today they tell me that they send/transfered successfully the nas coins. But unfortunately I can't find  the mentioned Transaction on the network, nor did I ever receive the coins. On the withdraw page the transaction is still mentioned as successful and there are no nas left in my account.

I have the same issue with Poloniex.

I also doubt whether they did ever try to resync with the current nodes. First time they sent to my NAS account that previously got payments from Poloniex prior to the fork, but failed. Second time I created a new NAS account that never used before, but also failed.

This leads me to presume that they are still on an old fork. Sad

As far as i can tell the nas network/chain is still working fine.
What's still needed are more nodes to secure the network and stabilize it.

In order to connect there are, unfortunately, some things to check:
- If you can't find any node you need to add some peers to the wellKnownPeers in the nas config (using tikers public node or the informations provides in this thread)
- Using the nas Version 1.1.3N2 may help, i think the known peers are added there
- depending of your nas database you may need to rollback to a previous state or start from scratch. The nodes/wallets and database from the exchanges (Poloniex and BTC38 as mentioned)  might have a state where connection to the existing network doesn't work anymore. (forks, broken DB, …)
Last time I checked, 1-1,5 month ago, starting from scratch worked perfectly when connected to at least one of the well known peers.

@CryptoJohn:
What's your nas account? I could try to send you some nas.
Did your account worked before?
Is it a new account?

It's probably because the domain nascoin.org no longer is in the control of the author. NAS used to get nodes from there anyway and I couldn't find any before adding some manually.

You can add a couple of nodes yourself by reading them from tikers public node and appending them to the file /conf/nas-default.properties.

The line to edit begins with "nas.wellKnownPeers=" and should look something like this when you're done:

Code: (nas-default.properties)
nas.wellKnownPeers=patapato.ddns.net;cb2.flipflop.mooo.com;funkyvps3.funkymonkey.org

Edit: Should we pack a zip with the 1.1.3N1 and a config with tiker's node in it or will the exchanges only trust a long gone dev? Or should we let it die?

BTC38 has a very interesting take on all this IMO. (They also have a very interesting limit on the length of the messages you can write so you kinda try to cook it down to the bare minimum of what you want to say and how.)

Me: When will NAS change status from "PAUSE"?
小雨: Dear user, NAS wallet have a problem which need NAS team to fix it. Sorry for the trouble, we'll enable deposit and withdrawal after NAS wallet working normal.
Me: It's true. Since nascoin.org is gone you won't be able to use the client without first specifying a node, like one from the "peers" list in tiker's public node.
小雨: Sorry!NAS wallet have a problem , need NAS team to fix it.
Me: There is no NAS dev team, the founder left a year ago. Please post your problems and/or read the solution at https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.12733811 or halt trading.
小梅: Sorry, we cant halt trading for this problem, since there are several coin have no Dev team maintenance.
Me: You can't open for withdrawals if you don't use the solutions available and there's no dev team. That means that your users is getting scammed as they won't ever be able to withdraw *their* coins.
小雨: Dear user, NAS deposit and withdrwal was disabled, our user can sell or buy it freely.

So... they need a team that doesn't exist to fix a chain that's not broken so that people won't stop buying coins they'll never be able to withdraw? If the coins can't ever be used or transferred, is it anything more than a straight up online casino with a boring interface?

If you're really stuck with getting your NAS wallet to sync.....some Nxt guys might be able to help, or at least have a better insight into your issues, as NAS is a very direct Nxt clone. It's basically Nxt from 18 months ago.....

If I find the time, I'll spin up a NAS node and see what's needed to get synced with the main blockchain.

You're awesome thanks.

As stated my NAS wallet seems synced but when trying to transfer from polo I get invalid address error.

thanks,
john

bter paused NAS deposits and dgex have problems with NAS withdrawal (it is closing and I want not to lose my NAS there). Please do smth, fix the chain or what it is the problem!

Hi Kolbas,

PM is out but I'll also post here as well.

I'm also not aware of any problem with the NAS Blockchain. My nodes are running fine and are in sync with the network and Tiker's public node.

It's pretty hard to find a solution to the issue DGEX is having without some more informations.

Here are some ideas, of the top of my head, in addition to Tiker's reply.

# Using the last “Official” Version 1.1.3N1 is fine. There's also the Version 1.1.3N2.

# Don't use the Version 1.1.6N1 as there's a problem with sending NAS

# A list of working peers, if connection to the network is an issue, can be found here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.11179394

# If the java Version is a problem:
Try it with Java 1.8, it should work. I'm using Java 1.8 here.
Patapato mentioned something about having forgotten to compile with 1.7 compatibility:

I replied to the private message you sent me but I'll respond here as well.

I'm not aware of any problems with the NAS block chain.  Looking at my public NAS node http://funkyvps3.funkymonkey.org:7873/ things look fine.  When I gain access to my private NAS nodes this evening I'll check things in more detail.

Without knowing what the withdrawal issue is that DGEX is having there's not much I or anyone else can do.  If DGEX is having an issue with their node then resetting their node and re-downloading the block chain would fix the issue.  If it's a peer related issue (can't find peers to connect to) then inform them that my public node can be used.  It is open for all to see and abuse.  If DGEX is removing NAS from their exchange and do not want to spend time trying to resolve their issues to process withdrawal requests, they can send their transactions to my public node as well.

If the other exchanges are disabling deposits then it's their own choice.  I've sent BTER my contact details a couple of times several months ago and they have not attempted to contact me yet as far as I know.

I'm not aware of any NAS related blockchain issues so there's not much else I can do to fix an issue.  If the exchanges are having issues and want assistance, have them post here and I'll see what I can do.

Also remember, sending any coin from exchange to exchange directly isn't a good idea.  You should always withdrawal from an exchange to a local wallet then deposit to the next exchange.

Graviton, owner of dgex:

«We have reactivated the old DGEX user interface and account logins are again operational.

All other functions except for Withdrawals, History and Contact have been disabled. Existing orders have been cancelled and funds returned to the user accounts. Unfortunately, trading on DGEX is over for now.

If you have funds at DGEX, please log in and submit a withdrawal by September 1st 2015. Withdrawals are paid weekly, apart from NAS which we still have trouble with. If the NAS blockchain works, we expect to be eventually able to honor all NAS withdrawals also.

If you have any trouble with your account you can again use the contact page on the site to submit a ticket that will be responded to when possible.»

They enabled NAS withdrawal on dgex, it will be possible until 1st of September. A little time left, and the exchange will close. They say it could be problems withdrawing NAS, they are not sure. Somebody get in touch and help them please!

i e-mailed poloniex, them replied:

We need a working block explorer in order to re open the withdrawals, as soon as the community have an updated block explorer so we can sync our wallet to it we will attempt to sync the wallet again and enable withdrawals.

This applies also to transactions from poloniex to bter and I think any transactions that were made using the wrong chain. Hopefully when we have blockexplorer, Poloniex will sync their chain an get back our Nascoins. Then they can revive balances and NAS trading or maybe just resent NAScoins... The question is to where? Are old bter NAS addresses still valid? If not, I hope they won't just resend NAS again to these addresses. It is better for all who is involved to give them new addresses to withdraw NAS.
