I'm not even sure this matters... countries/central banks and other enslavement legal entities will probably create their own "cryptocurrencies" which won't be true cryptos in the sense that they will be closed, controlled and stale for innovation.

The question is, when do people adapt how they live to ensure they can be financially independent of the current scam/deception that is sold to the masses.

I think this idea is not even in the plans of the governments of the countries.

The issue is only discussed at the expert level.

While we are talking about the legalization of the cryptocurrency.

Therefore, in the next 5 years - no.
may be true, cryptocurrency is not in the list of plans for a country.
but maybe in the future this will be considered.

Express Gratitude With Merit
Must say that some countries are very close to it and even already implement national cryptocurrency and the others are too far from it and won't see it happening for a very long time (speaking about decades). At the moment the first country to create its own national cryptocurrency is Venezuela. And I heard yesterday that they have the intention to bind it to Venezuela's national currency - Bolivar. So, sounds very serious. I have no doubt that they will do it soon. Because the president of this country is extremely enthusiastic about the idea of national cryptocurrency because he considers it might help its country's economy growth.

depending on how quickly they adapt to crypto.
for example, Japan, the growth of bitcoin in Japan is very fast and thorough, currently bitcoin is the second currency in japan.

One of the main drawbacks of decentralized crypto currency, which is a serious obstacle to independent use of them as money, is their greater volatility in price. This despite the fact that the idea itself is very promising and promising. That is why many states, taking into account the great interest of citizenship by crypto currency, will issue their own national crypto currency, which will be already fully managed and therefore will lose its big volatility. There are still very interesting events ahead of us.

For me, the term 'National Crypto-Currency' sounds paradoxical. Since this is contrary to the main purpose of crypto currency!

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
Some countries are already considering it because hyperinflation is killing them. How long can you act like it's all fine and reset the currency by changing its name or cut a couple zeros. Last year your loaf of bread costed 1000, now it will cost you 10, because that's how we roll, and in 2 years it will al be back to 1000 again Cheesy
People are already preferring to trade phone cards instead of their national currencies, it won't take long before they learn how to use BTC.

Such government will still try to study and understand what is all about crypto. They are going to make it better first before implementing anything. We should try and wait if they are going to use cryptos in the future.

We're pretty close. We've seen the Marshall Islands go in this direction and now we're hearing things about Switzerland and Sweden experimenting with the idea.
