This is the beginning of the end for Spain as a Country. If Catalonia gets its independence many other regions will also revindicate the same right. If this happens Spain will disaggregate from one contry to become several countries.

The secessionist parties are likely to get a comfortable majority, according to the early results. The secessionist Junts per Si got somewhere between 63 and 66 seats, and the ultra-leftist secessionists (Candidatura d'Unitat Popular or CUP) will be receiving anywhere between 11 and 13 mandates. Both the parties together will be having a majority, in the 135 member Catalonian parliament.
