So, parang cover up lang nila 'yong item para makatakas sa legalities, right? Since, pyramiding is illegal. Saka ang money game pa rin naman nila is 'yong referral thing behind, or let's say na lang na, huge portion nung kinikita nila. Pero kasi 'di ko maisama 'yong relevance ng item sa potential na kita, eh hindi naman ma-benta 'yong iba doon unless it has a name na in the market.
I don't think "cover-up" is the right wording for that kasi legal naman talaga yung mga networking companies dahil may binibenta silang product, what makes them attractive though is yung commission basis nilang earnings para sa mga magiging members/sellers nila. Ponzi schemes/pyramiding schemes on the other hand just offer up fake investments without any products pero meron silang similar structure ng commission katulad ng networking kaya nagkakaroon sila ng similarities. At totoo yung sinasabi mo na yung mga member nila ay mas kumikita pa sa referrals kaysa sa mga produkto nila but it doesn't make their company illegal dahil ang pyramid type of referral commission itself isn't illegal kaya malaya nila pwedeng gamitin ito.

I see then. Thanks sa input, I'm not aware na gine-generalize ko na pala. I even see Avon, saka Tupperware (which is another mlm company) na matagal na nag-ooperate dito sa pinas. So it was really a thing na pala dati pa, 'no? Though hindi naman sila as bad as pyramiding na walang product, however hindi siya effective or efficient pag-kakitaan lalo na pag na sa pinaka bottom ka. Funny thing is, my mom was an Avon salesperson dati, now hindi naman na. I told it about her, and kaya pala 'yong mga na sa taas ('di ko alam kung may certain na tawag doon, pero pag-palagay na lang natin na boss or recruiter) is 'di nabo-bother kasi ang concern lang nila is maubos mo ang inventory. So even though may mabenta ka or wala, they still have "porsyento" pa rin naman sa kinuha mo.

Technically guys pyramiding and Multi-level-marketing are the same in terms of concept, the only difference is MLM/Networking companies are selling with real products kaya nagiging legal yung kanilang business.

Damn, thank you so much dito. Minsan kasi mahirap pag sasabihan mo lang without anything at hand na ipapakita sa kanila, they'll be mad at you lang kasi may benefit pa silang nare-receive kaya siguro 'di pa nila naiisip 'yong potential effect nito 'di kalaunan Undecided. So baka sakali rito, you know... baka matauhan or magtigil na sila.
(I'm going to save this one na)

The concept na meron kang nasa taas at meron ka nasa baba at mga referral system or komisyon ay parehas lang but the thing is pyramid schemes don't have any product to show that's why they are counted as a fraud type of investment dahil peke yung business nila. Also networking is never an easy money kahit yung mga produkto nilang mga sabon or kape ay mahirap din ibenta, don't be fooled by the rewards you will get kasi ikaw ay dadaan sa hirap bago mo ito makuha.

Seriously 12% additional cash-out fee? Damn if ever na maximum na kitain mo with or without referrals is 3,000 (this might even take a year to fulfill) then you could only have 2640 and the 360 pesos na fee is ilang months mong paghihirapan?! Damn..

Not sure kung in general ganon or baka may iba pa. It was a part of her (my fb friend) screenshot lang 'yong nakita ko haha  Grin.

I mean it must be the same kasi they had a name of a company registered yet they've used a different one in one of their services. It's just too sh*t and somehow dapat ireport na din. The link of review you send also indicates that they said in the app that they are a "corporation" yet doesn't have any valid registration with the SEC.

I'm not aware sa mga pasikot-sikot sa mga ganiyan. And I'm not sure if appropriate i-report agad? Parang mas better if tatanungin muna sila regarding sa ganiyan, right?

Here's their contact btw:
            Trendy             SEC

One more thing, I tried to explore 'yong buttons under sa guidelines nila pero it always lead me sa top page, mukhang 'di naman existing 'yong nilalaman non  Sad, the same thing 'yong sa about button nila (it wasn't working). It seems dineploy na nila 'yong website nila even though 'di pa complete or let us say, 'di pa totally fixed lahat.

great thread! more awareness about pyramid schemes. too bad a lot of people still falling for this kind of scam hoping and thinking that it will change their life but giving up in the end since the profit is almost nonexistent unless they are able to recruit a new aspiring individual hoping to change their life through this kind of business.

Thanks! Note that it's not just simply a lot, but even those that aren't financially inclined sees this as an opportunity due to the fact that they need money and referrers often tend to promote this by using their allotted money in referrals as a proof and youtube watch and earn as a front, especially nowadays where the country would face MECQ again.

And, nakita ko lang sa story nung classmate ko before, may 12% fee sila ata if ika-cashout mo na 'yong kinita mo.

I look around to find some reviews rin 'bout them, and nakita ko 'to: /trendy-unlimited-trading-corporation-review/.

Good read, at yeah, its pyramiding scheme. Kakalungkot lang sa mga nag click dyan, kahit anong calculations ang gawin mo 4 pesos in 10 hours is too sh*t, pwera nalang kung pwedeng multiple tabs and multiple browsers tas naka 144p lang yung quality ng vids para di sayang data kase luge talaga yan. pwede magamit at kumita ng pera online daming tutorial na makikita online bisitahin lang si pareng google.

Ang sh*t din kasi ng mga ibang gusto kumita despite the knowledge na alam naman nila yung sistema na you earn a very little to nothing in watching youtube videos and still they continue to refer more kasi mas malaki ang kinikita nila dito. Somehow nadisappoint ako sa mga professionals na kilala kong nag promote nang ganito and still continuing to refer more and more. The bottomline would be simple na paano yung mga napaniwala sa youtube kikita ka ng malaki and they doesn't have that much friends to refer?

Legit lol haha.

I look around to find some reviews rin 'bout them, and nakita ko 'to: /trendy-unlimited-trading-corporation-review/. Since, MLM company sila, to add lang, magandang read 'to: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mlm-a-dangerous-marketing-strategy-5116935 on why we should avoid this sort of thing.

Magandang Araw, mga Kababayan!
This isn't a promotion nor whatsoever if you ever find it one.

Recently napansin ko dumadami na ang gustong kumita not only by selling but also yung tingin nilang "easy money". Then many already had been posting on Facebook that they earn by watching youtube videos, some even posted screenshots of how much they earn and even blue bills just to prove their legitimacy, but then of course a way to earn referrals as well.

This new app that supports only Philippine Peso is named as Trendy.

Have you heard of it? Well then here's how their referral and earning system was.
(I've asked a friend na nag gaganon if you would ask me paano ko nalaman haha)

At first you need to have a referrer (to register you in their platform), but then what bothers me is that you must invest for as low as 750Php just for registration. And their mode of payment depends on your referrer kung Gcash, Coins.PH, Paymaya, or Direct payment ang gusto. Then after that mayroon kang tatlong ways to earn:
  • Referral - same as kung paano ka nagsimula, just depends sa kung paano mo ipopromote ito para magkareferrals ka.
  • Benta ng sabon - I found this funny pero totoo, they letting you to earn by reselling their product as well.
  • Watching Youtube videos - you earn tokens that you can convert to Philippine Peso. But then there are two types of membership as well:
    • Silver Membership - this costs 750Php. You earn .5 token per video.
    • Gold Membership - this costs 1500Php. You earn 1 token per video.
then counted na daw sa earning ng token ang 1min and 30sec na panonood, because videos ranges from 6 to 14 mins long.

How much is the conversion of their token to peso?

They also say na if you are Silver Member, just 250 lang ang fee dahil 500 ay mapupunta parin sayo, as well as Gold member which is 500 naman ang fee and 1000 mapupuna sa account mo.

Well then let's calculate. If you have a silver account and you watched 1.5 mins in an hour straight...
Code:
(0.5 token * (3600 (seconds in an hour) * 90 (seconds in 1.5 mins))) * 0.02 (amount of php per token)
Basically, you can watch 40 videos in an hour hence you can have 20 tokens for that. and 20 tokens in php is just .4 pesos. And if you would have watch for the whole day (approx. 10 hrs), then you could earn 4 pesos. (yes you've read it right). And if you ever have Gold account, twice lang ang earnings mo in watching youtube.

Then let's calculate those whom are saying "For a month, ganito kalaki (mostly thousands) na kinita mo!"
Silver account earns 4 pesos in 10 hrs per day of watching youtube. Simply multiplying 4 to 30 would give you only 120 pesos! And even having a gold member account that costs 500 in registration (kasi nga 1000 babalik sayo), then you could only have 240pesos.

Now how some earn so much? Simple lang, Referrals. Why? Each successful referral could give you 250Php. Then imagine being famous, well-known, and respected, then you can gain as many referral as you could have (kasi some of my Facebook friend na professionals are promoting such application).

Now, I looked up their company (Trendy Unlimited Trading Corp.) on both DTI and SEC online and I've found nothing on DTI business name search and SEC business search is unfortunately down at the moment.

BTW, here's images of their membership perks.

All I want to say is to warn that I think with this kind of earnings, they are simply a pyramiding scam. Referrers get to earn, then you earn more by referring as well. But then tingin ko lang yun, lalo na sa earnings na magagawa mo through watching youtube compared sa kung magkano iinvest mo would take you months before mong makuha amount ng ininvest mo. Worth it? Only if you are successful finding people to refer, or you are good at selling their product. But with what they promote as "Manonood ka lang, kikita ka na?" I think it was never worth a single try at all.
