“Blows My Mind!”: Kyrie Irving Goes Off on Gambling For Spoiling the Purity of NBA Basketball

What do you think is the right interpretation of his statement? Does he give us a clue that the NBA is fixed, and that the referees or the organization are dictating the outcome of the game? Is he suggesting that no matter how good a team is, they will still lose because the outcome was already planned?
I guess this Youtube shorts will be an evidence, and a proof as well that Kyrie's statements were true
https://youtube.com/shorts/ioaA5g4bdng?feature=share
Watch the video. You will hear the word "This is for Vegas" coming from the commentators with a little bit of an explanation.

To add this up, there is a rumor back in the days where a referee in the name of Tim Donaghy conspired of fixing NBA games.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25980368/how-former-ref-tim-donaghy-conspired-fix-nba-games

I guess what Kyrie's saying is true, and that really affects the whole organization.

Denver Nuggets covered the -12.5, thankfully. I thought they won't/can't as the Pistons are sizzling hot in the first half and even had a lead when the 2nd quarter ended. KCP did help a lot to put a distance in the score.
The spread was high for a reason, and the Nuggets were expected to play hard. That's just right because they covered the spread. I had the same bet as you, but I wasn't able to watch the game. Despite that, I was confident that they would win, and I was not wrong because when I checked my account, my balance had increased due to the win.

Tomorrow, we have Warriors +3 against Hawks, is Warriors ML worth taking?
Without Draymond and outside their home court, it's really risky, but if you will bet on them better to take the ML instead of the handicap, big risk means big profits.

Moving to the other games, Sixers are winning seems that betting for them might be a good one here, handicap
or even ML if you are okay with small odd profits, chance to see Embiid to work hard and try to win another game
is possible.

T. Murphy III 2+ 3pts / CJ. McCollum 5+ assists / Pelicans ML @2.28  X

Let me start with the Pelicans ML and why they should win, aside from the obvious fact that they are the better team. Houston is coming off back-to-back wins, but they have yet to win 3 straight games this season. The Pels' next four games are critical, they face the Rockets twice, Hornets, and Orlando, all winnable games that will put them back in the mix for the play-in tournament.

T. Murphy 2+ 3pts, kid scored a career-high in points and 3-pointers made less than a week ago, averages four 3pts at .46% /L7, and Houston is the team that allows the most 3pts to opposing SGs this season. CJ is averaging close to 7 assists /L7 (over 9/L3) and has covered 5+ assists in 6/L7.

Tomorrow, we have Warriors +3 against Hawks, is Warriors ML worth taking?
The +3 is actually not enough. First, the Warriors are playing terribly in their road games. Second, Draymond Green is suspended. Finally, the Hawks stars are all present. If I am going to take the Warriors bet here then I'd rather risk it all in the ML. But, how I wish they put more money on that line because of the high risk.

I did, hehehe, putting ML on Warriors and then adding Sixers ML too for a parlay. I just had to bet on the Warriors as they really needed a win and this will be a big test for them if they still have it with theam.

Sixers is on a winning streak, but to make it easy on me, just ML as well, Lol, most important is them winning and probably watch the game between Warriors and the Hawks later. and cheer for my bet  Grin. And speaking of them, Joel now is on top of the ladder for the MVP race, so it's going to be interesting, him, Jokic and Giannis all going out in the last remaining games this regular season.

8 games today.
Charlotte Hornets - Philadelphia 76ers - Philadelphia 76ers (-10.5) We know why Michael Jordan is selling the majority of his share, Hornets playing better is a rare thing to happen. Plus, Joel Embiid keeps on being a monster every game, defending him is such a huge task.

Cleveland Cavaliers - Washington Wizards - Cleveland Cavaliers (-5.5) Jarrett Allen is still out for the Cavs. This might become a fun game with the Wizards having a clean injury report. A rare occasion knowing KP and Beal's history.
Also taking the Over 220.5.

San Antonio Spurs - Memphis Grizzlies - Memphis Grizzlies (-8.5) The Grizzlies are tuned to win every game as possible while their main star is gone. They will probably play harder even on their road games.

Houston Rockets - New Orleans Pelicans - New Orleans Pelicans (-3.5)

Good luck everyone.

I haven't made my pick for Yesterday's game but here are my picks for today's game,

Atlanta Hawks VS Golden State Warriors

The stake odds for this game are 1.58 for the Hawks and 2.45 for the Warriors, right now Jalen Johnson can not play for the Hawks, while Ty Jerome, Andre Iguodala, Andrew Wiggins, and Gary Payton II, can not play because of injuries Draymond Green, was suspended and can not play Stephen Curry, and Kevon Looney are both doubtful if they can play for the Warriors, because of the many injuries of the Warriors and they are not playing home so Jordan Poole will not be effective but because of Klay Thompson that is why I still have trust on them and Stephen Curry can still play, but with just time, I will risk my bet for the Golden State Warriors,

Cleveland Cavaliers VS Washington Wizards

The stake odds for this game are 1.48 for the Cavaliers and 2.75 for the Wizards right now Jarrett Allen can not play for the Cavaliers because of an eye injury, while the Wizards don't have any injuries, right now even though the Cavaliers Jarrett Allen can not play for them I think they will be a strong team to hold on and win against the Wizards, so my pick is the Cleveland Cavaliers,

Chicago Bulls VS Minnesota Timberwolves

The stake odds for this game are 1.71 for the Bulls and 2.19 for the Timberwolves, right now Lonzo Ball, and Justin Lewis, are out of the season, and Alex Caruso, and Javonte Green, are both doubtful if they can play for the Bulls, while Jaylen Nowell and Karl-Anthony Towns can not play for the Timberwolves, Austin Rivers, Naz Reid, and Rudy Gobert are all doubtful if they can play for the Timberwolves, for me this is still a win for the Bulls they have a great game against the Kings but they lost a close game, but for the Timberwolves I think the Bulls could win,

Portland Trail Blazers VS Boston Celtics

The stake odds for this game are 2.95 for the Trail Blazers and 1.43 for the Celtics, right now Ibou Badji, can not play for the Trail Blazers, and Jerami Grant, Justise Winslow, and Damian Lillard are doubtful if they can play for the Trail Blazers while Payton Pritchard, Robert Williams III, and Danilo Gallinari can not play for the Celtics, Marcus Smart and Malcolm Brogdon are both doubtful if they can play, for me because the Celtics still have the tandem of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown they can still win this match for sure, so my pick is the Boston Celtics,

Damn, Milwaukee Bucks broke my 5-team favorites parlay, except for the Sacramento Kings which are underdogs against the Brooklyn Nets.
Luckily I won, 2 of my 3 early bets teams in singles.

Denver Nuggets covered the -12.5, thankfully. I thought they won't/can't as the Pistons are sizzling hot in the first half and even had a lead when the 2nd quarter ended. KCP did help a lot to put a distance in the score.

Phoenix Suns won but did not cover the -5.5. Sadly.

Sacramento Kings won the game on the road and I won my ML. @2.33. Love it! I think Coach Mike Brown will get the Coach of the Year this season. He did manage to level up this team and of course all credits to Steve Kerr, he may have learned a lot being an assistant for one of the best coaches in the league.

Congratulations to all the winners.
Well, the unexpected "always" happens lol
I'm not betting much during these last games of the regular season... I confess that it's very difficult to hit some bets, because several teams manage to play extremely well and surprise many people...
Philadelphia 76ers, Lakers and Clippers can be some examples.

Literally the Lakers will get some seed in the playoffs, in the last few weeks I confess that they have performed extremely relevant, I have no doubt that the Lakers will get the seed in this season

Well, it makes me curious about that now especially when I read his line saying:
Quote
“If you wanna gamble, why don’t you gamble on something that makes sense to you. If you gamble on me, I’m not gonna tell you if this is a good game or a bad game.”
Source

Might be right? Especially when we see such top teams that are getting bullied on the hardwood by any team below .300 , I mean that is almost unbelievable to happen especially if these top teams are complete and healthy yet they're getting defeated by a low tier team. For example, Denver Nuggets was lost (with healthy Jokic, Murray, Gordon and Porter Jr.) against San Antonio Spurs.

I made a parlay bet early this morning and my parlay already lost because OKC lost to TOR, my bet combo's consists of 5 matchup: OKC, DEN, SACRAMENTO, MIL AND PHX. 1 out of what I picked already lost and I think it is my fault because my analysis is not that good. I know that TOR has upperhand but I still bet on OKC because of the ODDs. The IND and MIL are still currenty playing in this moment and the IND are up by 9 points, let's see if Giannis can carry his team tonight. ORL vs PHX are not yet starting but there is a high chance that PHX will win this match. I'm gonna make some analysis later on NBA games for tomorrow, I'll take this loss as a lesson and I should consider my analysis and forget the odds because it makes me greedy and create a bad decision that can end up in to losses.

Heard that Denver Nuggets are on a slump and have lost four of their last games played. And Jokic might be out of the MVP race if they don't start getting to those winning ways soon.
So their game against a very poor Detroit Pistons team tonight. This a must win and the odds are heavily in their favor for a comeback to be in the winning category again.
I think will go for a -13.5 for the Nuggets tonight.
Watched Pistons play the other day and they were disorganized and very young players on their starting lineup due to so many injuries to their main squad.

I'm streaming the game live because I wanted to watch how Killian Hayes and Jaden Ivey would fair against the Denver Nuggets, Ivey have been worth the streaming but Hayes got into some foul troubles way too early. Denver Nuggets have finally been able to create a reasonable points difference between them and the Pistons, currently, it is exactly 14 point with a little over 2 minutes to play for, but I hope they are able to maintain that margin, if eventually they aren't able to add to it, because Pistons have actually stayed in sight all through the game, until the 4th quarter when Jamal Murray and Jokic dictating the plays and exercising their dominance over the Pistons. I'd say the Denver Nuggets should be able close this one out easily from here on!

Los Angeles Clippers VS Golden State Warriors SCORE 134 - 126 - LOST

Crazy Stephen Curry has pushed his limits to make 50 points in this game but still, I think the Warrior's defense is very wide in this game that is why, and they are bad at turnovers 16 turns over and I think this needs to be changed while the Clippers Ivica Zubac has a double-double of 16 rebounds and 19 points, Paul George got 24 points, and Kawhi Leonard got 30 points,

We are on the same side here, mate. I bet on the Warriors at 2.20 during the live game. It was a close game, although the Warriors were always trailing. However, bad shots in the 4th quarter and a lack of defense allowed the Clippers to capitalize on their mistakes. Anyway, it's normal to win some and lose some, but in your case, winning three out of four isn't bad.

I passed on betting this specific game because I'm not that sure whether the Warriors can break their lose streak on the road because they're just too bad on it, so opposite when they are playing on their homecourt. It was a close game and I came to a point that I already assumed that this will be the game that the Warriors will break their curse. But unfortunately, that's not what happened. Also with the Lakers, I expected that Schroder or D'Angelo will take the helm but neither one of them took it and just let the Rockets embarrassed them.

Yes, that's true.
I am taking the Nuggets bet here too although they are playing on the road. It should not matter anymore to them and should push this win whatever happens.
Detroit Pistons - Denver Nuggets - Denver Nuggets (-12.5)
Jamal Murray is listed probably but I already saw his name in the player props so I guess that's a good sign that he will be playing. This should be easy for them and the spreads will be covered.

Another team that's on a slump is Phoenix Suns. There's a chance they will also force a win here especially playing at their home.
Phoenix Suns - Orlando Magic - Phoenix Suns (-5.5)
The impact of losing Durant due to injury is way too big and they don't have a Mikal Bridges and Johnson combination anymore that helps whenever they are in need of offense and defense.

Brooklyn Nets - Sacramento Kings - Kings ML
Sacramento is the underdog this time due to a back-to-back game. But I won't be messing with Fox and Sabonis. That duo can still play even when exhausted, plus they also have a deep bench so they might win this one.

His closest competitor will be Giannis and Joel if I'm not mistaken, and maybe there could be change of hearts as far as voting goes if Jokic can't put this regular season on a winning note, L-4 on their standing, right now, not looking good.

The Lakers lost absolutely killed me last night. That is the biggest parlay bet I’ve had go wrong to date. I was four points away from having a major celebration but instead it’s nothing but tears this morning. I joke, but seriously that was a heartbreaking loss to one of the worst teams in the league and they really needed that win to be back to .500.

Yeah, that Lakers lost though, hehehe, I just even had them at -1.5, just enough, but still they fell short to one of the worst team when they should be winning that to put themselves in a good position. Now they are going to scramble in this last few games and it might not be in their hands as to what position they will be at the end of the regular season.

Milwaukee Bucks (-3.5) vs Indiana Pacers = First Quarter Win 1,75 Odds.

Good luck guys.

Man, I can't help but wish you good luck with your picks, although I'm quite skeptical about both choice, Bucks are with a number of players would had been terrific for them when Giannis was out,  Brook Lopez and Jae Crowder are out of this tie, although I still expect an easy win from them btw, just that first quarter might be quite too early for them to establish huge dominace  of the game.

I like your Kings pick more instead, the Nets looks like they've got some really good pieces together and it's 50/50 game from my point of view, so riding with the better odds seem very logical to me, too. I'll be tailing you on this one
