Anyone here bet on Giannis Antetokounmpo to win the MVP?

I looked at the odds and he was +650... That was a very generous odds if one were able to put a bet on him.

Giannis is no doubt a good player but compared to all other player like KD and LBJ, he is just a powerful forward that good on scoring by himself. The criteria of being an MVP doesn't suit him well on an All-star tournament. The odds simply shows how tough other players as contender for the title.

I'm glad that everything was sorted out and lets enjoy some top class basketball tonight as I'm backing up Team Durant aswell but I will go with money line on them as the odd is more than attractive. I'm expecting a real show down between the players as at some points their ego's will take over and we might see some crazy plays which I guess all of us are waiting for.

Same here, I'm choosing team Durant as my final bet as well but I will take the point spread instead (huge), and ML (small). For MVP, I'm leaning on Kawhi Leonard and James Harden, that odds are both 14.96 in my book so I'll get x13 whoever wins, and Team Durant has to win is a must.

The odds are nice for durant team but now with embid out thats rough.  Lebrons starting lineup is insane.  Im gonna have to go on team lebron at 1.5 odds, and definately taking the over at 317.  With a lot of the younger guys going to be showcased this one might get super out of hand quick lol.

Wow that was a crazy 4th quarter, thought my over was in the clear by the end of the third quarter.  Dame hit a 40ft 3 pointer to hit the over.  Dude has insane range thankfully.  Team lebron had a clear advantage team wise, surprised the spread was only 4 points.  Easiest bet of the night was team lebron -4.  Big college bb conference tourny week this week.

It was a bad call, I should have put my bet minutes before the game started, the news on Embiid being out in the game was really huge, he could have put some defense on Giannis to not abuse the paint. Congratulations on the over anyway, my bet on Leonard was also a wrong bet, he did not show up in this particular game.

Jaylen Brown couldn't make it past the first round and scored the lowest with 17 points, Meanwhile Mike Conley did put up a great performance, but Steph Curry made it look ridiculously easy..

Getting ready for Team Durant vs Team Lebron right now  Smiley

No one is on the level that curry is, maybe damian lillard especially in terms of range.  Been watching nba for a long time and steph is by far the best pure shooter I've ever seen play the game.  Maybe reggie miller or Ray allen in their prime had a stroke comparable but even that is a long stretch.  Team lebron starting: lebron, steph, giannis, luka and jokic that is rediculous.  I do t see how team Durant even competes but hey who knows

Jaylen Brown @8.4  for 3 points challenge

I would give this zero % chance of hitting, dude has been dealing with a knee injury, and he is not a knockdown 3pt shooter. I'd give either Curry or Mitchell a nod here, Curry has made the most 3s this season and has the best 3pt % of all participants, Mitchell is my dark horse, with all the shit/disrespect being said towards Utah he should be highly motivated, and he is a capable shooter imo.

and Luka Doncic for Skills Challenge

Luka and Paul will skip round one:

I still haven't made my mind, but will definitely put something up prior to the start...

I would have gone Mitchell too, but I'm Brown for my personal likeness for him and the odds... Curry jokes with literally everything imo, I could have even bet that he wouldn't win if the the option was avalaible. No disrespect he could shit 3s effortlessly even out of his comfort zone, but he never just have this serious face   Cheesy

My Sportsbet Account has been restored and out of a very great gesture from the team I was reimbursed for everything that was stolen from my account  Cheesy

That means I'm back with my BetBuilder and Singles, That said for the NBA all stars game I've gone with Over 317.5 points in Team Lebron vs Team Durant, but I can't find anywhere on the platform to bet on other Contests.

I want go for
Jaylen Brown @8.4  for 3 points challenge
and Luka Doncic for Skills Challenge

Happy to hear that @Harkorede, I don't know that your account was compromise, hopefully it will not happen again. On the 3 points challenge, I like your bet because Jaylen Brown is a great 3 point shooting as well, not as good as Curry but with 8.4 odds, I think it's worth to gamble.

Now they're saying Blake Griffin is the next suspect to go to the Nets...  Hard to believe how fast Griffin fell from being the franchise player in LA to being bought out in Detroit.
Granted his athleticism seems to be gone (he's only dunked once this year last time I checked) he is still a decent shooter and a good presence on the floor.  He's a good insurance policy if one of the big 3 for the Nets gets injured, as he would make a decent fill in.  I could also see him adding a lot of punch to their bench.  The Lakers are going to have to make a move soon.  They need to get their hands on Drummond if they want to secure another ring without too much heroics.

He suddenly became like Carter or Grant Hill.
From a high flyer to an outside shooter.
What Nets need is a defender below the rim now. I don't think that suits Griffin's profile.
Yes, Drummond is a better choice. They will need a good offer as Knicks is also eyeing for Drummond because of their big men on the sidelines.
I agree with that, all the big 3 can attack the paint, but their weakness really is a defender so they will not be abuse in the inside, and Drummond fits that job compared to Griffin. I know  the Nets are carefully adding players especially the high paid players as they don't want to commit mistakes.

This will make Nets more better, Griffin can still play, he got used to playing a good team but when he was traded (IIRC), things have change for him. I beet he has some issue with his current team and even himself, hopefully he will be surrounded with positive people that the very goal is to win and I think Nets does have that kind of goal and people. I'm looking forward for this news.

I guess everyone of us here will go the over, it's almost an automatic bet in the all star as we know they really don't put a defense in this game and I'm assuming that this all star game has less crowd or no crowd, so there's less pressure on them as there are less fans cheering unlike the usual scenario.

For the 3 point shooting, Curry is still the favorites with 2.99 odds but I'm surprise Buddy Hield is not in the list.

For MVP, how about Donovan Mitchell @35 (odds)?

So the lines are already open for the All Star week.

Team Durant is opened at +2.5 and it's currently at +3.5, Total is over/under 308.5

So what are your thoughts in this game?, who's gonna win on the following competition too?

all star MVP
Dunk contest
3 point shooting (very interesting )
and skills challenge.

I'm betting on the Team Durant, I'll take that +3.5 all day.

For all star MVP, I'll go for James Harden as he is playing an all star this season and he will still get more touch of the ball in this game.
I hope James Harden will play as the PG here, not Irving.

3 point shooting that would be Curry if he still participate. (haven't check the betting odds yet)
Dunk contest and Skills challenge ( no decision yet)

I am all over that over.  There will be zero defense played as normal.  As far as betting on one team versus the other, its a complete crapshoot right now.  No way to bet one way or the other.  I am definately going to be taking the over though.  I dont like betting on the skills challenges like 3pt or dunk either as it can always be swayed and really its just a stab at it.  Will be watching a lot of hockey until be resumes on Wednesday:)
