Edit: Heat didn't play Jimmy b or bam.  Uhg but 4 minutes left they are hanging in there

Even without their top starters The Heat still played extremely well and far beyond expectations, Tyler Herro performance was surreal, but great game from Danny Green (I wished he could have the 10th 3-pointer, for franchise record) and Embiid as well.

Oh well, I hit one (https://i.imgur.com/jakF1y1.jpg)of my props for tonight, but I'll be need a 30-points 4th Quarter Roll Eyes from Rockets to make it 2 of 2 for the night.

Went 2-2 totaling 8-6 so far.  Todays 5 bets:

1) bucks/magic under 225.5
2) knicks +4.5
3) suns/wizards over 231
4) Portland -5
5) bucks -5.5

Good luck to everyone today.  Go knicks

Edit:dallas/pel game is postponed

Went 3-2 last night to bring my week up to 11-8 over the past 4 nights.  Will check out today's games and come back with today's 5 picks.

Here's my picks for the night, feel free to comment and/or critique them:

1) nets, den over 230.5
2) miami +9
3) Lakers-5.5
4) GS -3
5) gs, pacers over 227.5

What do ya'll think?

I don’t really like your #4 & #5 but maybe I’m underestimating the GS Warriors, who have looked pretty decent lately. I would normally hate your #2 pick, but I think the 6ers are still playing with a skeleton crew so that might be a good bet.

In the beginning of the year I was fading golden state but they are playing feisty this year.  Looks like they are playing with a chip on their shoulder.  Underdog role, I never underestimate steph and what he can do.  And I haven't watched the pacers much (just once against the knicks) but the added trip over to the west coast and a tight line im digging it.  And just in case pacers catch fire I'm dragging in the over.

Edit: Heat didn't play Jimmy b or bam.  Uhg but 4 minutes left they are hanging in there

I'm with you guys on the Lakers but instead of the spread i'll just go for them straight up to win now that the odds swung up from 1.4 to 1.6.

Good luck on your Lakers bet, they won last time in the same venue, so there's no reason they can't do that again. I'm just worried about how the line was being moved, from +6.5, now it's only +4.5 for the Rockets, I smell fishy in this game.  Grin
I guess the public prefer taking the plus points since some of their games end up being close and maybe they're due for a loss since they're the only team that haven't lost a road  game.

I knew my bet was already a lost cause when Jusuf Nurkic had concussion and couldn't return to the game after just 8 minutes played.

The only downside to these 'player prop' bets is injuries, i had one with Bogdanovic not long ago, it sucks when it happens!
By the way, Nurk had a leg injury, not concussion.

I only have two bets for today, it is becoming increasingly difficult to shop for good lines though, either spreads are too high with very low odds or players i want to bet on are not available due to whatever protocols NBA has in place right now. I might switch back to 1Q/1HF bets soon.

Allen O7.5 reb + Durant 35+ pts/reb/ast + Harris 15+ pts/reb/ast total odds 1.86

Osman 15+ pts/reb/ast + Conley O3.5 assists + O'Neale O3.5 rebs + Mitchell 1+ assist (1st Q) total odds 2.10

I quite agree with you on the problem of getting good lines, that's why it has been really so easy and helpful to just follow @stadus picks...

Good luck with your bets,  I would have followed suit on your Brooklyn Nets' Prop bets, but I just blew all my balance on Sportsbet. However, myself I've gone with just props on 76ers vs Heat and Lakers vs Houston Rockets (again) https://i.imgur.com/lD0kxCN.png

I'm down for the Lakers game but I'm going with -3.5 @1.73 because I want Lakers to easily cover the spread against Rockets tonight. While for Miami game, my opinion is 76ers -6.5 @1.58. I'm tipping 76ers to win this one because they have had 3 losses in a row and are looking to get a comfortable win at home tonight despite growing health concerns. Other than that, I'm good with your other picks. If I don't go with sixers  win, I'm sticking with over 210.5 points. Goodluck everyone.

The game I really was looking forward to and have might bet on for tonight was Pelicans vs Dallas Mavericks, but the game has been postponed as well.

I've decided to play around on this (Blazers vs Toronto Raptors)

I knew my bet was already a lost cause when Jusuf Nurkic had concussion and couldn't return to the game after just 8 minutes played.

Winding down.
January 12, 2021, 07:01:27 AM
So we are all on board with the Blazers tonight huh? I hope they won't mess this up, they are fresh while Raptors are playing 3 games in 4 nights, that must be a lot of energy lost, fatigue factor is the reason why they won't win and Blazers will dominate them. I hope our instinct is correct though.

Blazers will take this game but I'm not sure if they can cover the -5.

Raptors even struggling did a good job on their last 2 games, short by 1 point against GSW and a won against the Kings in a large lead. Blazers also took the Kings in a large lead so that ends up in a wild guess on my side.

Both teams are healthy although even Blazers Zach Collins got injured weeks ago. Blazers on their remaining lineup are still good as a whole.

They didn't cover, but Blazers are good to be able to come back and win the game. Unfortunately it doesn't matter as what matter is to win.
CJ gave them a go ahead basket, and while for the Raptors, it's Siakam again who take the last shot and it didn't go in.

Siakam had a solid night, but it didn't help them to win.  Angry

Did they postpone some of the games already?
I didn't get the updated news yet.

Sorry for the loss for those who bet at Portland -5. They didn't cover it.
A low scoring game for the Cavs and Grizzlies again. Damn, I thought they could at least cover 206.5.

Get them bets while you can because we might see the league being paused for a week or two:
Looks like its already happening.

Two Mavs starters — Dorian Finney-Smith and Josh Richardson — and Jalen Brunson sat out last Saturday’s 112-98 win over the Orlando Magic because of health and safety protocols. And a fourth player, Maxi Kleber, was listed as questionable for tonight’s game due to health and safety protocols.

We all know what "health and safety protocols" mean.  Grin
Bulls v Celtics has been postponed. Celtics apparently don't have enough players if the game were played. So, they just postponed it.

Do we have picks here for the upcoming games?

Kindly share some thoughts -  Grin
My first bet is Charlotte since they're on a good form recently and Knicks are playing without one of their starters.

Later i've got Portland -5 they've been winning by more than 5 except for that overtime win against the Rockets.

5) bucks -5.5

On what sportsbook did you see this Handicap for Milwaukee Bucks? What are the odds for -5.5?

I was surprised that the handicap is low compare to the majority of the sites I always check. Or maybe it was adjusted at the time of my checking? So far, I've seen around -7 to -9  handicap for the Bucks.

You are lucky then. The Bucks can clearly cover the -5.5 points against the Orlando Magic.
