L.A. Clippers v/s L.A. Lakers

Town rivals going to clash tonight. Clippers look much better than last season after signing former NBA champion Kawhi Leonard and trading with Oklahoma City for Paul George. Lou Williams would be feeling confident after a great performance last season. But talking about the games against Lakers, I don't see them being able to stop James and Davis and Lakers should come out with a victory in this one. If Clippers play Kuzma, then I am pretty sure Lakers would take the win pretty easily.

Pick : Trail Blazers : -1.5

I will look into this after today's game, Nuggets and Trail Blazers are two teams that are fun to watch, but I am a Blazers fan most especially when they are playing at home and I think that -1.5 looks very easy, but then again, there might be some injuries within the team that only make them -1.5 against the Nuggets that they beat in the semi last playoffs.

Portland Trail Blazers v/s Denver Nuggets

Denver Nuggets after standing 2nd in Western Conference last season will be looking forward to continuing their success. With Denver Nuggets being one of the least scoring but heavy on defence team last season, and on the other hand, Trail Blazers being one of the highest-scoring team with 114.7 average points last season, it'll be a great game to look out for. The Trail Blazers have the best backcourt in the league, and their additions will make them that much better. Portland will bring Kent Bazemore, Rodney Hood, and Pau Gasol off the bench along with Anfernee Simons who can prove out to be a good pick early this season. Portland will be jumping for the season opener, and they will edge out the Nuggets in a close game.

Pick : Trail Blazers : -1.5

No bets for me, i decided to just sit back and enjoy the start of the season without any extra stress.  Cheesy

I'll probably kick off my prediction campaign tomorrow as a couple of games have caught my attention.

Anyway, good luck everyone!

Sometimes skipping up is also a good decision especially if the games offered are pretty limited.
Looks like everyone is jumping on the Lakers now to win, hopefully this boat will not sink, lol... anyway.. what about touching the over/under?

It's way too early to predict anything. Lakers and Clippers are almost on new rosters and all they had was so practices and show off games without showing real strength. It will be very interesting to watch them way anyway

My first official pick at the start of the regular season is.

Lakers -3.5..  I like the line movement, I thought it would only end up -2.5 which I think it could be very tricky but it's good that it move at least 1 point.
I am expecting that the Lakers will win here at least 5 points as without PG the Lakers for me have the edge here, of course the - points says it all.

Woah!
Here he comes, I already went Lakers -3.5 even before seeing your posts, it was valued @ 2.00 (after being boosted)
I took it together with Raptors - 2.5 in the 1st Half @ 1.76

Welcome to the 2019-2020 regular season of nba betting! Smiley
For this game I put lakers and the under since paul george is out of this debt game of the regular season. The lines look juicy for the lakers to win and probably will take out lebron and adavis if they are blowing the clippers out of the water late in the third and just sail the rest of the final quarter on reserves just so not to over use them the very first game.
Along with the champions of last season. Toronto on the win and over at home is a good pick as well.
Put them both together and you have a really good ticket for the first night of the nba season.
Thrilling to watch the ring ceremony in to! Cool

Championship prospect wise clippers are superior imo given their defence and consistency, but for opening night, I'm going with lakers.

Same here, Lakers are only -2.5 while the Clippers has no Paul George, I think this is a gift, hopefully not a trap, but usually at the start of the regular season teams like to prove and Lakers are on a mission this season so they will probably give their best in their first game.

count me in.
Same with me, Lakers with healthy Lebron will surely passed Leonard without PG., Though the odd seems to be tempting doubling your bet with handicap -3.5, but  I'll stick with ML with 1.69 with high hope that Lakers will get this first game of the season showing the LA fans the game and
enjoyment that they all deserves. Looking forward for the the first win.

If we are all going at one side here, we might loss as that's what the public is thinking.
Usually when the bet is a heavy favorites, I go against that bet,.. If you are using covers, you can see the betting stats here.

We have 2 games in the opening and the Clippers and the Lakers is the best match up that I like to see.
I wanna hear some comments regarding your opinion on the line,.

per my sportsbook, Lakers is -2.5 on the road since P. Beverley and PG are not playing.

My first lean here is the Lakers, but I will not finalize my bet yet, as usual I am doing it a day before or maybe near the game time as I want the latest update as my basis.

Can the lakers take advantage to that?

I like to think that way, because Lakers are playing with 2 superstar while the Clippers are only playing one star.
2 against 1, 2 will always win.

Clippers are the better team if health was a given.

Lakers simply have more central pieces right now available. James and AD are probably going to be both playing while PG13 is out, which would be a huge blow to any team he's on.

Championship prospect wise clippers are superior imo given their defence and consistency, but for opening night, I'm going with lakers.

Not at all Bud,
Lately, I've not been following the NBA pretty well enough (I got school final project having me all engaged), I only take a few minutes to make one or two bets mostly on Over/Under because I wasn't always sure who to go with since I'm outdated on who's got who and who's in or out... I even had to google the "Lebron's china comments saga" out just today, after reading someone's (yours I think) post here on the thread.

All that being said, I already took a parlay small bet on Philly and New York Knicks' matches, I went with Over 211.5 and Under 237.5 respectively.

I'll be going with your picks to as another parlay.

Good luck!

Unlucky parlay.  anyway, the preseason is over and in 2 days we will witness the start of the regular season.

Yo, am i the only one betting on those pre-season games?  Grin

I have two singles for today. Good ol' 76ers have their final game at home v Wizards. Ben Simmons will sit this one as well. I don't think they wanna mess with their perfect record (4-0).
Nets are hosting Raptors in Brooklyn, Kyrie will make his debut (if we don't count a minute v Lakers in China). They should be hyped to get this one. They also have a perfect record @ 3-0.

Philadelphia 76ers (-3.5) @ 1.67 1st Half - Asian Handicap

Brooklyn Nets (-0.5) @ 1.80 1st Half - Asian Handicap

edit; Welp, so much for my 6 gm winning streak. WSH 54:44 PHI at the half.

Wizards started the second quarter with a 2-3 zone which caught the Sixers off guard, completely messed up the whole flow of the game for them.

edit2;

TOR 74:53 BKN (28:28 1st Q)

Defending champs look sharp just days before the start of the season. Killing it from 3pt, 14/24!

A rough night for me, 0-2

Better luck next time. I just don't think preseason games would be too serious including their win-loss records let alone first half of their matches. I am not betting on pre-season games even if it is tempting. Everyone is very excited on the start of the regular season. Go Boston! Grin

Lakers will certainly dominate the rebound game all season long, the sheer size they've got upfront with AD, McGee, and Dwight, its gonna be a challenge for many teams to match.
Most likely that would happen, and since they can control the rebound that would also translate to more dunks through offensive rebound and they will just continue to blend properly, their line up will be the best in the NBA which is almost unbeatable.

It would be a great achievement if the Lakers will top the ranking in the regular season, they haven't done for awhile so its about time.

Anyway, tomorrow we will again witness a game between the Lakers and the Warriors, my... these two teams are always playing, what's happening?

Sorry for the double-post.  Smiley

Denver are playing their fourth and final pre-season game against Portland (their only home game). Lillard, CJ and H. Whiteside are out for Blazers. I don't have information for missing/resting Nuggets players, but even if they have it won't matter much; better and deeper bench.

The last time these two teams faced each other at the Pepsi Center, it was the gm7 of the western conference finals back in May, and Portland, as you all know, won the game. I expect an easy home win and i'm going again with a half-time prediction. ML for Denver went from 1.43 to 1.26 and is still crashing as we speak.

Denver Nuggets (-2.5) @ 1.64 1st Half - Asian Handicap
