It's obvious that he is planning to use the automated software for posting because of bounty signature campaign and social campaign.
Which is not allowed. So the man who asked should be tag a negative because the software could lead to spamming.
How is it so obvious? I don't read anywhere him asking or mentioning that he needs a bot to do bounty whoring. You could link me to the post if it exists.

And I am sure he is not looking for a 'bump bot' because it's totally different compared to automated software where you can spin and post automatically in any selected time. I know what's this software and they use this, mostly for marketing purposes.
If you say so. Bump bot was just in reference to 'automatic' posting software.

As someone already mentioned before, it really depends on the intention of the automated software. There is already an automated posting software called as 'Bump Bot' which bumps the posts every 24 hours without the need to do it manually and it's accepted in the forum. Maybe OP has similar intentions? You should probabaly ask them and then we can decide if it's worth a tag.

as an explanation of what they meant. Their intentions for being on the forum are the wrong intentions and that's something we can agree on, but that doesn't warrant negative marketplace-feedback until they do something that is malicious, breaks the rules/guidelines or scams.

That post more shows their intention for being on the forum entirely, than it shows their intention to use a bot in order to break the rules and cheat signature campaigns.

I might be misunderstanding what they're saying, but their English isn't great so I have to do some interpretation.

Not worth a neg but I added a neutral to have a reference in case that user pops up later in some list of spammers.

I can't think of a good use for such a bot... I mean if you can't be bothered to actually post on a discussion forum then you're probably here for the wrong reasons. But as others mentioned this is a matter for moderators to handle.

isn't this what 90% of members here do ?  so should they all be tagged equally?

They should all be banned Smiley

Seriously though, I find this facebook/twitter/etc link farming going on in the Bounty board utterly ridiculous. Not sure if it's benefiting forum's SEO/traffic (it must be otherwise why allow it) but it definitely doesn't benefit the quality of the forum. If anything it breeds the least desirable types of users who then spill over into other boards. But that's a discussion for another thread.

I see this as only to make money from bounties by posting spam.

The user isn't talking about a bot that randomly generates replies to automatically sourced threads. They're talking about typing up posts and then having a way to set a date/time for the post to actually be posted, in case they aren't available to click "post" at that time. At least, this is how I've come to understand it. There are many automated reply bots, notification bots and others that are popular around the forum and this just doesn't come across as obviously malicious to me.
But you can see what is intention of obtaining that post.
luckily you are not a DT member. this is a very poor judgment to say the least.
Yes I am very poor at this but lets see what is the opinion of other DTs like TP. Smiley

If the person actually obtains the bot, they will most probably find their account getting banned eventually for plagiarism. There are some spam busters that have gotten pretty good at detecting these things. Unless they have some advanced AI that can spin extremely well.

also this thing should be handled by mods not DT members, i see no scamming attempt here therefore i see no reason for the tag, nor do i see a reason for you to start a whole thread about this for a newbie account, specially given the fact that you seem to already understand the story.

When someone bought account for posting on signature campaign they will get tagged,so here also I see the same thing and even more since he want to earn money without any effort from his statement.

I took a quick read through the thread and I don't feel it necessary to give that user negative reputation for it. Their intention with the software isn't clearly malicious in my opinion, and many users are very reluctant to tag users over posting-behavior. Unless this user has clear intentions (or actions) to cheat signature-campaigns or maliciously abuse the forum, then it might be hard to make a case.

well most of those people who come to the forum for whatever campaigns post only shitposts, so be it automated or manual makes no difference.

Bots will be nuked or banned, because there are lot of dedicated people were working on this forum to make it spam free so spam posts and the posts from bots will get reported and will get deleted soon. And one thing new met system made impossible for them to rank up so you will be at this rank forever.

feel free to report the post, even though i would like to bet the horse that mods won't delete that post.
