Mullvad is the best one among those I have used so far. I think it's a fair price, strong uptime and good privacy policies.
Also, don't forget their fast and amazing support!

I've actually never heard of Mullvad. Been using windscribe for a long time. Is it any good?

Basically any non free VPN service will do a great job with encrtpting your data. I used to use windscribe a lot until I set up my own ovpn
If you use non-free VPN, you get limit country to connect, and I think that will not enough if you use it to browse many things. You can buy a premium VPN or subscribe to the paid VPN, and I think that you can get it by the cheap price. You can find the discount code or seller who sells the premium VPN with cheap price.

Hello everyone! I myself use Eddie and Browsec. Eddie is a more serious program that always gives you the VPN you are setting. But she is paid. There are different rates.
Browsec is simpler, there are several countries in the free version. The choice depends on the goals that you pursue Cool

Just try any paid VPN because often free VPNs are already used to register somewhere.

Surfshark works nicely for me. They have features that not many other VPNs have. For example, cleanweb, multihop, GPS spoofing (if you have an android). You can also get hacklock and blindsearch, but for those, you have to pay (around $1 per month, I believe).

I would personally recommend buying a VPS (you can find cheap options on LowEndBox) and install the VPN software yourself. It's honestly not difficult at all.

You can install OpenVPN rather easily with an install script or by following a guide:

For example: https://lowendbox.com/blog/how-to-setup-openvpn-on-your-vps-ubuntu-18-04/

When you go with a provider such as ExpressVPN, you are theoretically giving more control to these providers since you don't have system access. You are technically giving some nature of control to the VPS provider you may select on LowEndBox but it's more within your realm of control in how you set it up/encrypt it. You're not using their software, but open source software instead.
