First, head straight to the meta to see all the rules guiding the forum and thereafter checking for ranks and their requirements. The community is all about Bitcoin and discussions as it relates to cryptocurrency the blockchain technology in general.
instead of going straight to meta board. OP could stay here in beginners and help and read this Newbies - Read before posting. that thread has all the basic information a newbie needs in other to properly navigate and post here in the forum. and yes, that thread also includes the forum rules.

@OP I suggest visiting the links zasad@ provided. it'll give you an Idea of what the members here think about the forum etc... it is a pretty good thread to read.

The question is, how did you get here?
Did you search for something on the internet and got redirected to Bitcointalk?
Did someone tell you to come here and register?

The answers to those questions can help in determining what it is that you want.

My guess is that he must have been told somewhere that this forum is a goldmine Grin

This is a valid question. I, too, would be interested in knowing the answer.

@AALL, knowing from my own experience I understand newbies may find this forum quite hectic, so it's wise to seek advice from more experienced members. If you are truly a beginner here, the answers to those questions can help us guide you in the right direction.

Also
Are you interested in Bitcoin and its technology?
Are you interested in mining?
Are you interested in alternative coins?
Are you looking for a get-rich-quickly method?
Are you searching for a local language community to discuss all that and other topics?

Is there anything specific to what I'm going to discuss here? If so, let me know.
I would tell you to talk to someone in your own language to better understand the forum. You can create a topic from your local section. There will be more help to understand your language.

Bitcointalk works the same way how most if not all online forums work. You read content, and you contribute by discussing if you have anything valuable to provide. (You should already know this unless you're a genZ-er and what you've only tried is modern social media sites).

Welcome
The forum is a university. You can learn about Bitcoin, Altcoin, etc. for free here. You spend more time reading than writing here. You can find out everything. See the search button to find something specific, otherwise you will use Google. If you can help someone on a topic or write something new, it will give you merit if it benefits someone. And if you get merit, your position will change. You will read the rules of the forum well first.Take a look at the questions below.
