how could they scam me if i didnt pay them any money. I was being paid

Long story short: No, you can't get that bitcoin out of there. You don't have the password (private key) to the wallet. Whoever sent you that bitcoin, tricked you into believing that you own this bitcoin now. But you don't. Hope you didn't pay for it.
Thats the question since he do already forgot this thread he might already known that wallets being given is watch-only. Advice's above the the most precise things about these classic way of scamming.
I'm surprised that it do still exist even nowadays.Only people who are completely newbie to blockchain tech and basic wallet informations will normally easily got victimized with this obvious schemes.

i got it from verified source from Tesla. Is there any way to change a watching only account to a normal wallet, thats all im asking

There are two types of wallets: watch-only wallets, and non-watch-only/regular/normal/signing wallets. A watch-only wallet has a public key hash (bitcoin address), with the wallet tracking its history on the blockchain. It can also create unsigned bitcoin transactions which can later be signed with the private key (in a different wallet).

A 'normal wallet' is one that has private keys (from which the pubkey and pubkeyhash are created). The transactions here are created, signed, and broadcast (the latter if it is an online wallet). With this wallet, you 'own' the coins you see on the wallet as you can transact with them. On a watch-only wallet you cannot however (hence the term watch-only).

May i ask how people get into this situation ? I mean.. HOW did you get in contact with the scammer ? And WHAT did he tell you? And why did you try to buy it this way without knowing how bitcoin works / what bitcoin is ?
How can someone believe that some public information (address) is enough to 'own' money ? I mean.. everyone can know this address, it is public.
Because there are a LOT of people who see/read all the news about Bitcoin (and Cryptocurrency) and want to get on the cryptomoneytrain after seeing all the instagram/twitter posts by the Lamborghini driving "Insta Crypto Millionaires" but who have no real idea about how it all works.

As the famous quote goes... "There's a sucker born every minute".

#humansGonnaHuman... Greed always seems to trump commonsense (not unique to the Cryptosphere)... and with Crypto it's probably cheaper and easier to get away with, hence the proliferation of HYIP's, "Coin Doublers" and other crypto scams that abound.

I see so much scams currently. And all do follow the same scheme.

The scammer somehow sells an 'address' to someone, which then will be imported as a watch-only wallet, tricking the buyer into believing he owns the coins now.

Dear OP, please tell us WHERE and HOW you got in contact with the scammer. It won't help you, but it might help future victims.

I'll give you this address: 16rCmCmbuWDhPjWTrpQGaU3EPdZF7MTdUk
If you import it, you have $700 million in your wallet. But you can never use it.

You didn't get paid, you received someone else's address. Adding Tesla for credibility only makes it sound more like a scam.

I just downloaded the electrum wallet on my android to understand how it work.
you clicked on the camera to scan a QR code and you imported the address right?
Now you should know that your bitcoin are not in you phone wallet but are in the address that you have previously imported.
you should go to your computer where you have created a new wallet and try to send the btc to a trusted wallet

So i made an account and pressed on Import Bitcoin addresses to make it and I received about .964 of Bitcoin. Is there a way to get that money out of that wallet or did I just lose 6 grand. When I made the account it didnt give me a seed. P.S. I did this from my phone. Please respond ASAP!

ok... so where did you send the money from?
Go there, get the transaction ID and post it here so we can check the transaction status. Maybe its not confirmed yet hence you can't send the BTC anywhere else and thats why it says pending.

Be calm and try to understand what everyone is saying.

when you created the wallet, you said you went to import bitcoin address/ private key, since its showing watch only, i will assume you imported a bitcoin address. Now the question is the address you imported, where did you get it from? was it given to you by the so called trusted source?

How do I get my Bitcoins on my computer if it never made me make a seed or password??

have you imported the addresse from an old wallet using a privat key? if so you can still import this address to another wallet in your computer disctop wallet.

edit
you can also send the transaction id to make things clear.

it came from a trusted source. When I made the account to receive the bitcoin I accidentally pressed "Import Bitcoin addresses or private Keys" instead of "standard wallet" which was what i was supposed to press. It never asked for a password or seed.

Where did the address come from? Did someone tell you to import it when you tried to buy Bitcoin? (This is a scam that happens)
