The OP is wrong.

NEM and eMunie officially merged today = eNEMie...
But moments before they could issue a joint statement denying a future release date...
The Devs were arrested by the Bitcoin Police for aggravated vagrancy in the Crypto Space.

what is it about nem that you think makes it look like a scam?

The fact that everybody involved with it keeps talking about it like its already a real thing when it is not.

With all the talk about NEM I thought it was released a while ago.

So this is the next Duke Nukem Forever? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem_Forever

Only took them 15 years to develop it!

In crypto years for NEM, yes the two are quite comparable. I feel like there's a 20% chance this is just a really, really long con.

NEM, sound like a scam coin

test out the beta client and see for yourself...

1st blockchain based multisig, proof of importance, remote harvesting/Nis. i can give you an IP to connect to nis and you can harvest/transact securely using my nis with out ever sending keys across the network and with out you ever needing to download the blockchain, just run Ncc.. innovations go on.. pretty epic features for a something that looks like a scam.. Wink

redo blockchain don't make it different, it's still sound and look like a scam to me. copy quark logo?

While I do not like the delay, its better they take the time to release a very good product. By release time the bear market may be over which will be a bonus too.

and wait 29458 hours to sync

BRO what ? that is a whole lot instructions my friend. if it aint "One Click and Ready" then i pass Wink

u said this is next generation. why i have to spend hours configuring that babe? is this arch linux? no no no thankee.

it must be one click and instantly ready to send instant transactions otherwise how do u expect Average Joe use dem thang man.  if it takes more than 5 seconds it gonna be fail just like the other old gen coins

~CfA~

okay..... fine, here is the instructions for one click.  go here http://bob.nem.ninja/installer/ download the installer and click the one click.  not all the bugs are worked out for everybody, but for most people it is working.  I installed it on my Mac today with one click.  One small problem I had was that Mac didn't recognize the source so it wouldn't let me install it until I went into setting a security and clicked "install NEM anyway".  Other than that it was fine.

Also, NEM will have in the future a way to click and send transactions instantly.  I have already gotten the whole process down from start to finish, from virgin computer to sending/receiving a transaction in under two minutes by connecting the a remote NIS (an awesome feature of NEM).

Well...... The post is kind of right.  NEM 0.5.12 was released today, but that is just another beta version.  Still.... it shows the devs are working hard getting ready for launch.

If you would like to test out NEM, please follow the easy as fuck tutorial.  https://forum.nemcoin.com/tutorials/running-the-client-using-the-stand-alone-version-how-to-guide/

The sooner NEM gets more testers getting all the last kinks worked out, the sooner the launch.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In this guide, i will show you how to download, and run the Nem client using the stand alone version.

First go to: http://bob.nem.ninja/ and download the file: nis-ncc-0.5.11.zip as seen below:

Once the zip folder is downloaded, you need to "Extract" it. do this by right clicking the folder, and clicking "Extract".

Before extraction:

During extraction(it will extract automatically to the same location that the zip folder is located):

After extraction:

Once the folder has been extracted and you can see two folders like shown above, enter the new folder that does not show a zip on the icon. inside there will be a single folder named "Package":

Inside the "package" folder, you will see multiple files..

1st) Double click to run "runNis" file at the bottom.  -> should open a black command prompt which spits out lots of text.

2nd) Double click to run "runNcc" file which you can see is located above "runNis". -> should open a black command prompt which spits out lots of text.

3rd) Go to http://localhost:8989/ncc/web/index.html (If Ncc is not ready yet, this page will display as if you dont have internet, once Ncc is ready, the link will work.)

3.1) Alternatively, to do all three at once, you can double click "runMon" which will launch the nem monitor that some of you may recognise from WebStart.

if you want to download the blockchain provided by the developers (much faster way to catch up when you need to fix a fork) go to: http://bob.nem.ninja/nis5.h2.zip and unzip the downloaded file in the same way as shown above. Then go to "C:\Users\\nem\nis\data" in your file system and paste in the new, unzipped "nis5.h2" file that you just downloaded. (if there is already a nis5.h2 file in there, which there most likely is if you havnt deleted it, thats your old database that you need to delete in order to resolve a fork.)

Once the blockchain has downloaded and Nis has booted (which it does automatically once you create a wallet) you should be able to start using the client.
