Interesting article there :

They're probably right in global, but during the reading, I said to myself: "Why the hell there is PIVX or ARDOR, and no NEM, no DASH?". Two people in the comments mentioned NEM, editor answered:

NEM was a tough decision. While there are projects and uses for it now, the focus on upcoming updates such as Catapult made it feel just shy of where the team wanted it to be.

Hard to say, if he's right or not. But my point is another one: In the discuss just two people mentioned NEM (as a working product), but on the contrary around fifty people crying for Dash. I'm definitively not infering from that, that Dash is better platform than NEM (I'm NEMster hodler and have no single coin of Dash), just thinking about the "world spread and popularity". Few months ago, we were above Dash on CMC. Several months ago, we were in TOP5. Do you remember ?

Fucking ridiculous. It's had a working product for longer than the vast majority of coins. I haven't heard of many of them.

Maybe NEM need more community push !

I hate to say it, but our "community"is unfortunately not as big as in other blockchain-projects.

Wow XEM @ 0.10 cents now is the time to buy  Cool

I'm afraid - very afraid - that 0.10 cents is still not the ATL (this year) . Now we're at 0.0975 and still tanking (a little bit). But for how long and how deep could we go? This is really "one million question". But - and I'm afraid again - it mostly depends on BTC and global cryptomarket sentiment, and - in the opposite - almost doesn't matter, how active or invisible is (not just) marketing activity around NEM.

I'm still believing - or try to believe - that IV. quarter of this year will be better, much more better for us. But, to be honest, my faith is now really not so strong, as it was during the spring.

Is it true that XEM has been initially distributed via Airdrop? There was no ICO, some private sale or similar?
Part of it was Airdrop. Part of it was 'given away' for a 'nominal donation' so read that as you will. But it wasn't like a typical ICO where you get more tokens the more money you put in - the initial NEM distribution was all based on Stakes and those were given to people in this forum based on unique usernames.

Who were the 5 lucky ones that got 4 725 000 206 XEM or 52,86% of the "airdrop" ?

What is the current circulating supply?

If CoinMarketScam ( https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nem/ ) is correct: 8 999 999 999 XEM, it's the most greedy PoS scam project ever, with only 61,363,334 XEM or 0.686% earned in almost 3.5 years.

half true , but this was the beginning
Sorry, what's the other half of the story? Was there further distribution after that initial one via these forums?

Distribuition is still ongoing in other ways:

that indeed is really big news, if it came out during a bull run we'd see Nem go up x5 at least. Now during this bear market this news doesnt affect the price that much, but Nem will be rewarded next time the market goes up, all those without a working product and good partnerships will be left behind

Too many people out there looking to make short term profits rather than looking at the longer term picture, there's a lot of vaporware and marketing hype, but not many working products.

The patient investors will be rewarded.

There might be again some buying chances for the patient investors.

When looking XEM/BTC for 2017 and 2018, it looks so that now it has done its "cyclic" downward trend and reached the lowest levels (of 2 years).
And after that the rise may begin as it did in 2016 May and 2017 December.

NEM is still one of the best blockchain that is change to bring new ideas and enthusiasm. I probably will keep buying XEM.

Please share, let's correct all the unfactual articles saying it's an ERC-20. I am not supporting this token in any matter but it is a good way of attracting new people to look at NEM

How is the harvesting so far guys? Few years ago it was kind of very small so I decided to not mind it. How many xem can I possibly take in a 100k xem? Cheers!

My stake of 1 million XEM harvested 5 blocks in the past month which contained 3 XEM.

I'm seriously thinking of buying back in to refund my supernode. I miss it so much!

Anybody interested in contributing to share rewards which are currently @ 4.7% / year? I still hold 1 million XEM and have another partner who has 650k so there's room for 1.35 mill more. Planning to setup a trust or LLC to protect funds.

Was something changed at the Delegate Harvesting feature? For a short time, the function always switches to inactive. I have to activate it manually almost daily. Previously, the feature was active for weeks after activation. Is there any way to control it and maybe even enable it automatically when it's inactive?

That'll be your individual super node being flaky. Mine's been rock solid forever. They have mandated an upgrade with more ram so perhaps the operator skimped on it.

https://nem-tools.com/#/home is a way to automate the restart of harvesting I think but start off by trying a different node perhaps.

Thanks, NEM Tools is exactly what I was looking for. But is the service trustworthy and serious because I have to enter my private key there to use the automatic reactivation tool?  Roll Eyes

You only need to enter the private key of the delegated account not your real private key. There is no way to access your funds through it.

Cool, I haven't known about the autoreconnect feature and will check it out soon!

It's not very much if you don't have constant activity on your wallet, but you don't have anything to lose, especially with the autoreconnect feature you just set it up and forget about it.
