Many people think though that Bitcoin itself may not have a future, but the blockchain technology will - so there's no reason why innovative, groundbreaking projects like NEM can't get some serious momentum.
That's the thing. How do we know that NEM is "groundbreaking" when it doesn't really even exist yet? I am more interested in the PON model of mining at this point: PROOF OF NEM
Can we get some of that around here? February what? Please make the date firm. No more squirming around. If something isn't quite 100%, screw it, release it anyway. That's what Counterparty and NXT did and they've done just fine since.
So please stop all the talk about how great NEM is until it actually exists.

So is the launch in sight guys? I feel trapped with my 1 NEMStake redeemed and launch is nowhere to be seen. February is coming!!
It's understandable legitimately interested and eager participants/Stakeholders feel this way, but ya'll really should make your way to the NEM forums and Telegram chats. Following discussions there will help calm your concerns. I'm in the same position as you and participating in the discussions really helps.
After everything i've followed, i think the future of NEM will be pretty exciting.

Alot of buyers into BTC are speculative buyers - so i knew BTC would bounce back. With the recent news of the "licensed" bitcoin exchange, it was inevitable

I think it would take something extremely big to turn Bitcoin into dust - a flaw in the code, or a successor crypto.Many people think though that Bitcoin itself may not have a future, but the blockchain technology will - so there's no reason why innovative, groundbreaking projects like NEM can't get some serious momentum.

They will support IOS. In fact IOS was supposed to launch before android. Iphone here so waiting for it too. I believe they are waiting for telegram to update some code in order to get the ios version out.

Guys as this is a no envy coin can I make a suggestion. If you are using Telegram anyway then why not download the Gems app instead. You are supporting crypto, and you lose none of the functions of Telegram and can connect with a telegram users, plus you can earn coins once the airdrop starts. ITs worth knowing that Gems app plans to incorporate other alt coins later so NEM could make a profitable partnership at this early stage.

True, it's a Win, but only if Gem supports IOSx. There are actually quite alot of humans in the Telegram chat with an iPhone or iPad.

you should have gotten it when you created real account data? i dont think you actually need it though if you have your private key and address. you can always just produce new data and send to the new account after launch if there isnt a way to get the private key
I didn't note it down like a dipsy but I do have the private key ... I wanted to verify if it was correct but the "verify" option requires public key hence I was thinking how do I get it...
I guess closer to the time we will get more info on how to import from private key?

Answered your pm but I'll answer it again for public awareness.
You can import the private key-right now. It will give you a different address though since we're still on the testnet. The only thing you can verify that way is that it is a valid priv-key but that doesn't really say much.
