The reason I was asking is because my NCC constantly says NIS is one day behind. It isn't "kind of over" for me heh Can I reinstall?
Patmast3r already explained that you are safe if you created your real account data and saved it at a secure place (KeePass, USB drives on safe places etc.).

So yes, there is no problem if you want to reinstall. I would suggest to delete the .db only though. If you do that, consider downloading the db from http://bob.nem.ninja/ (nis4.h2-69690.7z) so you dont have to start from scratch (takes some time).

If you need more help I suggest you to take a look at the NEM forum (https://forum.nemcoin.com/).

if I reinstall NEM client it won;t change my address I registered my stake with right? as long as I use the same name/password

The address you used to registers your stake (if you did it right) it only created once by the generator. Even without reinstalling the client you'd create a different one when you run the generator.
As long as you have the priv-key you generated you can do whatever you want on the test net. It has nothing todo with the live net.
Many people didnt understand that the creation of real account data was just a simple address generator. I think thats because the way it was implemented in NCC led to some misunderstanding. If would have been more clear if there was just an "Address Generator for Real Accounts". But yeah... too late now Cheesy

Well even if you don't understand it we did tell everyone abundantly clear that the data need to be saved in a secure place. Plus there is a check when you create it that asks you to paste the data again so this is really fool proof imho.
Yes, the web interface tells you to safe the data in a secure place, correct.
But still a lot of people didn't get it was just a simple address generator. A lot of people thought that the client somehow created that "real account" data out of your testnet address *or whatever*. So there was some confusion about it when e.g. my "how to create real account data safely" guide was published and people asked what now, because they already created their data.

But yeah... The discussion is kind of senseless since this is kind of over^^

My NCC keeps saying it is 1 day behind so I was going to try reinstalling.

@devs

what happened recently with blockchain.info and accounts being hacked looks to me like it was an issue with bitcoin rather than blockchain.info? im not sure to be honest, i could be wrong, but it seems that way from the thread johoe posted on btt(link below) and it does have me concerned.

if this is a fault on bitcoins side, is it something that all cryptos are affected by, just PoW, or just bitcoin? is this something that could affect nem?

It's definitely a blockchain.info mistake.  It's like Malleability, which is a bitcoin flaw only if a service provider doesn't take basic precautions, which makes it the service providers flaw.

I guess there are a lot of pitfalls when building services around bitcoin that devs have to be aware of.

Please make clearer.
my suggestion:
browse alphabetically.

https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered

Just press:  ctrl + F    Then put the first few letters into the search-box, and you´re there . .

thx.

why is there such a low trade volume on the NXT AE for the NEMStake?

Are the people waiting for the next announcement?

Sometimes I can not understand people who buy only when we are about 50 k or 100 k ?

Buy low and sell high, or simply keep to your NEM Stakes.

I must wait a few days for my BTC to convert it into Nxt to buy some Stakes and i hope NEM will not launch until this year i want to buy low  Grin

or you think on the first days on exchanges you will get 1,000,000 NEM for 2 BTC ? I don´t know 550 Euro for 1 million NEM ? hmm... ?!

And I also get error 709 an account needs to be part of the network or something when I try to start harvesting. I have sent and received many time from the account. I can see the recent transactions right there.

What is the address of the account?

Is there a bug switching between addresses within wallet? I think it is error 500 that comes up.

There is a bug that results in an error if you switch to an address which is unknown to the blockchain.
Next release will fix it.

Bitcoin genesis block was mined on Jan. 3 2009. Maybe launch on the anniversary?

That's a neat idea Smiley

I like this idea too, but that's just three weeks away.

Just to add to the collection of fun NEM puns, here's one I just thought of: I'm getting a bit NEMpatient for the coin to launch Wink
