QOra is actually innovative rather than a recode of NXT which NEM is.

If you're saying NEM is recode, you're offending me personally and other devs involved.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

I am saying, cant you read, though I guess you can cause you read NXT code and rewrote it. Your fooling noone the client even looks the same.

Again, lots of good information for you here.  https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2624.0;topicseen  Please read

I don't understand why the unclaimed stakes are not just left alone, it keeps everything in proportion roughly.

If devs want a bigger slice of the pie they should have said so at the beginning.

Devs are not planning to take the unclaimed stakes...

The original distribution plan was:

  • 71% Stakeholder community distribution (2841 Stakes)
  • 4% Pre launch public auction (155 Stakes)
  • 15% Development distribution to V1 completion (600 Stakes)
  • 10 Development reserve post V1 completion (400 Stakes)

There must be a solution to fulfil this plan and it must be done before distribution of the coins.

An investment fund for development is a bad idea.
If someone wants to develop and believes in his idea he will put his own money in.

Quote from distribution plan:
Quote
Note: Development fund, development reserve, and development shares do not belong to the community.
They are under the control of the development team to best advance the NEM blockchain, NEM functionality, NEM widespread usage and community
and they will be allocated under the above guidelines

That means everything else belongs to the community and should not be taken away.

This is irrelevant. The developers would be in control of 50% of coins, whether they claim to be using them for themselves or not is totally irrelevant.

The sad reality is I don't even think this was intentional.

I just think the NEM team is incompetent.

The fact is I think NEM was and is a way for NXT guys to get a chance to get a taste of the NXT cherry. They were so mad they missed it they are motivated purely by their jealousy to get there's. This is NXT part dEUX.

To think this is the result of a year of trying to have a fair distribution, its funny.

NEM officially has the biggest premine/development fund of any crypto currency. hahaha

No kidding. It started out with 25% development fund and all unclaimed stakes would be added to to it. This is biggest development stake in crypto history, except the obvious premine scam ones.

You guys would make the Ripple team blush.

Everyone has read Animal Farm. Those who are most jealous and angry about others getting more because they wish they could themselves, so when they get a chance they do exactly that.

Qora didn't even touch his BTC and says he hasn't even bought Qora. That is somone who cares about what he is doing. These NEM goons are after money.

Phase 2 Btt Stakeholders Redemption Guide

End of Phase 1 on October 31, 2014 (yeah, Halloween)

Phase 1 will end on October 31, 2014. Anyone who is a stakeholder on btt (not on the NXT AE) and hasn't registered his token until this date, will have the opportunity to redeem his stake during the extended period after launch under the already announced limitations outline here https://medium.com/@xtester/extended-redemption-period-d6e7ceaf3a53.

This will also mark the beginning of phase 2. As soon as phase 1 is over the portal will be adapted for phase 2 and we'll let you know once it's ready. When it is ready, btt stakeholders will need to register their real NEM-addresses (starting with 'N'). You'll need to enter your token and an address that you have generated according to "Phase 2 Redemption Guide" which you can see above.

The bolded part is unclear to me? Register where?

I have my NEM address starting with N.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/ and enter your token and your NEM address.

Thanks.

Just a few hours in and NEM already has more stakeholders than NXT and Qora combined, and..... probably a far less percentage of sock puppets too.

how many stake holders did qora have?

Hello.

Check here: http://qora.co.in/?q=1

damn they gave some big ass whales.. interesting to note the trend in the early days is similar to that of nxt. start high rapid drop due to whales dumping. i dont think we are guna have that problem Smiley

You're dishonest. Qora top holders are exchanges plus Qora even now is so cheap anyone can buy 1% of coins relatively easily.

QOra is actually innovative rather than a recode of NXT which NEM is. Even the founder was exposed as a scammer, this coin will go nowhere I bet you will never get into the top 10 coins, you will find yourself with NODE.
eermmm if you check that link out.. its a link to the accounts that were sent coins from the genesis block.. i dont think any exchanges would have been sent coins in the genesis would they?

EPIC fail...

I still remember when Patmast3r offered to buy his stake for Qora and he disappeared until now. Now not even the Qora community wants to hear from him, I wonder why? Wink In any case the best would be to ignore him really! He has the honour to be the first in my ignore list, not that he would care though. Smiley

I shouldn't have mentioned the "Q" word, knowing there was a troll waiting to jump in to spout FUD and not back up words or rebuttal facts with anything but talking cheap nonsense.

I'll try to keep the focus on NEM and only NEM in the future.  No need to compare ourselves to anybody else.

The plan is for others to compare themselves to us in the future and try to ask themselves, "how can we catch up?"

If devs want a bigger slice of the pie they should have said so at the beginning.

Devs are not planning to take the unclaimed stakes...

What will happen with the unclaimed stakes?
How much will the Devs already be getting for  developement?
How much more will they be taking from the unclaimed stakes?
Just asking im not complaining. You guys are doin a great job. Keep it up guys.
Home stretch. Woooooo

There was a proposal to put that unclaimed fund into a fund for development of ecosystem projects not run by devs.
Look at the original development contract for details.
Devs are not taking anything from unclaimed stakes..

Guys i do not have to do step 2? I don't have any asset, only my token, and I already did step 1. I just have to wait for step 3 if I understand correctly?

Thanks.

Yes, you have to do step 2. Step 2 is where you register your NEM address and that will go into NEMESIS.

The reason we are doing it this way is because we need the program to send out NEM automatically rather than having use spend days sending out NEM to thousands of people.

I am not Dorian Nakamoto.
I'd post this on the forums but it's not sending me an activation email.

I'm being accused of being a sockpuppet... which is pretty devastating.

Is there any way I can appeal this decision? I'd appreciate it hugely if I could... PM me any responses to keep the thread clean...

(Just an aside: that wasn't a very mature way of going about removing someone's stake. Doesn't exactly give off the vibe NEM wants does it?)

Plz conteact the forum administrators about the mail...you should be getting it.
About the appeal...in your case it isn't going to get your anywhere. The data speak a very clear language.
You can read about how we detected sockpuppets here https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2620.0
We didn't take all stakes away from puppet masters so you can register your other stakes (and according to the db you already have)

this stuff aint funny somehow i get the same message. i am not a sockpuppet. registered my token when i was told to do so.  maybe because it was on the same computer as my colleague who actually told me about NEM?Huh?

Post on here if you are really not a sock puppet and we as a community can try to sort it out: https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2620.0

Can you tell us all here  how many socks you own that were locked out? You can hide those that you have not been locked out. Just those that you have been caught having.

What for? Smiley

Agree. This will greatly benefit NEM. Less sock puppets equals less dumping after launch.

How does the number of sock-puppets someone owns correlate with the likelihood of dumping their assets after launch? It doesn't; you're talking nonsense!

What for? To answer your own questions. I don't need to tell the forum here. If you do not want to answer that, then you should not even talk about it here.

Anyway, like what Patmast3r said, this is a closed chapter. You can continue ranting but you can be rest assured that you will not get your sock stakes.

I rest my case and I hope you rest your case too so that NEMsters can continue on with the journey.

abstraktalias

its fairly obvious to me that you are a sock account(not accusation, just opinion).. if i am right, which i think i am, may i ask why you chose not to post from your real account?

Well you're entitled to your opinion I guess, but it's disappointing that some relatively simple questions can't be answered logically. I only own one account on BTT, this one I'm posting from, that's it.  Been a fan of NEM since late February.  Still think it has great potential.  I'm not here to spread FUD, I'd prefer to participate in something resembling a meaningful discussion, but maybe that's an unrealistic expectation on my part.

Is it not possible to support NEM and still question some of decisions made by the devs?

What will happen with the 250 000 NEM taken from each unclaimed stake every month?

What are the options moving forward with unclaimed stakes?  When and how will a decision be made?

These aren't hard to answer.  Please try your best to answer them without getting overwhelmed by emotions or making false accusations.

Thank you for your efforts abstratalias,, and now tell us what is your intension?

Iam a original stakeholder, and iam glad to be part of this movement,, if the devs havent done so much, you wouldnt have the opportunity to be here and ask some stupid questions,  it seems realy you try to break down the value of NEM.

You should be happy to be a part, but everything what you are talking is FUD, all the time. STFU now and let the devs doin there work, and in my opinion they do fucking nice job, and support all "real" nemsters.

so STFU with your fud and enjoy the ride.
