Well only based on supply criteria 1 000 000 NEM = 250 000 NXT so yeah one stake at 30000 is still very very cheap.

Shhhhhh! I still plan a buying a couple of NEMstake portions! Give me until 5 before you start hyping it up! n Cheesy

I'm not hyping  Smiley

If i was hyping, i would say that buying a NEMstake now at 30 000 is like buyin' one at 20 000 one month ago when nxt was a lot more expensive.

So basically price to get in now is as cheap as one month ago  Grin

(Not to mention bitcoin price drop Smiley)

This is easily the least liquid selling side market I have seen to date on AE for NEM. I mean no buy orders are being filled. All the sell orders are being snapped up. I think the rest of the folks are finally holding.

Close to release and the latest alpha client is seriously impressive, plus media exposure in Vice among other things. Nothing but good news for NEM and in my opinion it's still undervalued even before an official release. Things are looking bright for NEM stakeholders. Smiley

How does buying $90 an ounce silver when the price is only $20 help anybody  Huh

Why not buy 2 ounces of silver and then with the left over $50 buy some NEMstake or use the money to buy NEM when it launches ...

I'd like to know how you can get a coin from perthmint for $20 bucks shipped to you at your door step too. Then we don't have to sell it at cost and make people think that we are ripping them off.

The $20 you see is called ETF.  Try buying that and get it delivered to you.

The very reason cryptos exist is because we have been led to believe that things like silver is actually $20 an ounce when it is not in reality. The $20 is a manipulated price. when it gets specially manufactured the price more than doubles. Shipping cost more than the coin as well. Add that up and we'd be lucky if we can raise some decent money.

Crowdsale is a fund raiser to better NEM.

It is not profitting per se.

1000 were issued on the asset exchange but for a long time they couldn't even get 500 to claim a token.  Now it's 717 who have claimed a token and only a fraction of them have sold.  There's only ever like 10 NEMstake being listed for sale and like half of them are listed above 30K NXT.

Dump our NEM for what?  Nobody here has 5% or 10% of NEM.  Even if we see 2 cent NEM by December I don't need $20K from that for anything in my immediate life.

I'm assuming a token is a stake. Is it still possible to claim a token in a method other than buying it off the AE.

Probably buying an account registered with a stake or contributing in some way as a developer.

Thanks for your quick replies everyone. Please note that I wasn't trying to spread FUD or anything, I was under the impression that original NEM stakeholders received everything for free. I've currently spent around 1.8 BTC to get my 1.6 NEMStake, and I thought that I was paying in excess of $750 to receive something that others paid $0 for.

Also is there anyway to help contribute to the languages? I'm fluent in 3 languages, and I'd love to help add a couple more to the NCC list.

Okay there's one thing I don't understand.  4000 NEMStakes were issued, 1000 Stakes went to the NXT Asset Exchange, but the rest are just issued out for free to the original stakeholders. So essentially as soon as real NEM is issued there will be a mega-dump from all those who received stakes for free?

No, not for "free". We had to pay to be stakeholders too you know.

Also, many of us (I would hope most of us actually) are never planning on "dumping" NEM because when we invested in NEM as original stakeholders, there was not even any coin at all it was simply investing in a concept. I'd like to think that those of us who are original stakeholders are in this for more than just a quick buck. I know I am. I've said it numerous times on here and I guess I'll have to say it again because I want people to know that many of us stakeholders are in this for the long haul. I am never going to sell my NEM for any other cryptocurrency at any point in time. Ever. If anyone can provide evidence that I ever sell my NEM on any market for any other cryptocurrency (or fiat) then I will personally pay them 5 BTC. I'm that serious about NEM.

That VICE Motherboard article is huge news for NEM. VICE is quickly becoming known as one of the most influential Internet-based new media news sources. This can only be a positive thing for NEM.

Out of curiosity, is there anyone who has tried to compile NCC (and succeeded)?
