My Head is a Ritz
Well i sincerely hope come NEM's release we'll have solid enough code and a good enough community to withstand any attacks.

I remember all too well the ordeal NXT had, as well as DGEX when it came to attacks not just in terms of FUD, but also in terms of network attacks, both ddos and other maliciousness against the currency.

If NEM causes a big enough stir, it's also going to get big enough attacks from those who deem it a threat to the current status quo of currencies.

This is why i'd like to see some big initiatives to help people set up clients on various platforms. I for one, will be getting a Rasberry Pi or two just in case.

I agree, luckily the client is already really easy to get working on a few types of devices, and it isn't even one click yet. I plan on getting a raspberry pi and maybe an android stick before launch.

We're gonna have to expect DDoS attacks on all our sites and infrastructure, so we need to be prepared.

Adding an interactive NEM timeline to a page in our website would be a cool feature.
Timeline.js can be downloaded here http://timeline.knightlab.com/

TimelineJS tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAWbm4gF9lU

Look at some of the examples. http://timeline.knightlab.com/#examples

Great idea! I think we should add this to ournem.com. I'll add it to trello.

This can now be found on the homepage of www.ournem.com

Looks really great!

I expected that after the initial alpha excitment subsided the prices will decrease a lot. This has not happened which how much faith there is in this.

It helps that there are not a handful of individuals who got almost all the coins for cheap.

Primary account has got more funds and tx sent.
Second account has less funds and tx sent.

Second account has a higher chance of harvesting a block  Huh

I think I know the reason (and if that's the case it's perfectly normal), but it would be easier if you'd join #ournem

Hello

@Gimre:
Is there or will there be any mechanism against blockchain
bloating implemented in NEM?!

Thanks.

Yes just trying to game the system > Not happening though lol

haha seems its working then! Wink
Sending coins to yourself in a circle does not increase the harvesting score.

Hi there,

do you have a guide for RasPi  please.

This. Yes please.

I sincerely hope we can see a number of guides to help people set up the client on a number of different platforms, especially as release draws closer.

That's perfect for the wiki. This is something that the community should be doing.
People have been trying to run NIS on quite a few devices including an android-tv-stick (worked Smiley) so I'd appreciate it if those people could share their experience and write up some guides.

It's was me who started NEM on Android TV stick, but I'm not so good in English to write wiki. Short tutorial was here and on nemcoin forum. If it is enough, feel free to use them. Smiley

@patmast3r - Thanks.

Later I'll try to import and export the wallets, since its available now. I used the Owon's generator.

I also want to try to reproduce the bugs I reported at gitHub from tyhe version 0,55.

See you later.

About the 0,59 client:

cant i move the windows ( asset, importance score, recent transactions) now??

Thanks.

Tiles are afaik no longer moveable. It caused some bugs and wasn't very helpfull since it was reset after every restart anyway.
Of course we'll take feedback about tile placement into consideration Smiley
