I'm really sorry for the noob question. Maybe I didn't search too much, but is there some articles explaining DIM ICO? How long is it going?

Actually, all information is on their website: https://www.dimcoin.io/
Thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-ico-dimcoin-the-future-of-equity-on-the-blockchain-1986414

Thanks a lot for the link! I track new ANN threads, but somehow I missed that one... I guess if Dimcoin will be successful, it will make NEM stronger too!

Are there any plans to make delegated harvesting more reliable? Lately nodes keep going offline and it is annoying to have to manually reconnect every time.

A system like waves has would be ideal imo. You lease your balance there and if their node goes offline your balance is still leased to the node.

You can ask a supernode owner to add the delegated private key to the config. That way, if the NIS is restarted, the account will harvest again.

Any way to get in touch with the supernode owners? It's really a hassle as the blockexplorers don't show if your account is harvesting as far as I know and I don't feel like entering the client everyday if it is only for checking if I'm still connected.

There is no official way to get in touch with a supernode owner. The entire supernode registration process is anonymous.
But there are some known owners. I, for example, own some supernodes.

If someone offered you 99% harvesting uptime,
how much a month would you pay for this service?

Just curious.

I wonder whether NEM and in particular Catapult will be able to address issues mentioned in the article below. I understand that speed and scalability should not be a problem for NEM/Catapult but public record of every transaction on a blockchain sounds like valid concern for the banking sector. I'm not super technical so perhaps someone will be able to explain? In this scenario would the bank use Mijin instead of NEM? Would that benefit NEM in any way?

But Marcus Treacher, the global head of strategic accounts at Ripple, said the fact that each user of a blockchain has a record of every transaction conducted would not work for banks competing with one another. He said: "Every single bank gets a copy of everything, even when it’s encrypted. That is not going to work."

NEM MIJIN solved that already

banks would run intern MIJIN chains
and only cross chain transactions utilize NEM chain

perfect combination of private and public chains

I have like 35k NEM vested. For a couple of days now when I log into my nano wallet and go under "manage delegated account" I briefly get this message "Error occured at fetching supernodes data!". My status is active but I have no harvested anything for quiet some time.

Just Believe in trusted/transparents Proyects

10, 600% is huge achievement already just this year. Hold!

I got my XEMs right before the price explodes up which is why I will be holding it even if it goes back to its original price. But it may not happen because of the recent projects involving NEM platform. Hope to see nem rise up like ETH in the future.

A beer for you , I think so !!

Anybody have more info on Dimcoin ICO.  Did anybody from NEM have any contact or work with the developer of Dimcoin of developing their application?  Dimcoin ICO white paper claim the Dimcoin token will be trade able on Poloniex and Bitfinex. Can you confirm if this true? Both Poloniex and Bitfinex support can not confirm to support trading of Dimcoin.  Who is the founders and CEO of the Dimcoin?  Why white paper did not show CEO and founders, only shown second lever leaders?

It felt like its a catapult indeed. I always keep in mind that Nem had already started some ICO of the tokens in its network. I think that was DimCoin. There was so.e other coin too, I hope the dev will be listing it too in the OP.

Pls help: I went to purchase Nem from Bittrex but I saw NEWECONOMYMOVEMENT. Is that the full name for NEM?

that seems correct. Nem used to be the acronym for New Economy Movement.

Nodes went offline recently because of mandatory NIS upgrade released a couple of days ago

Take these dips as an opportunity to get in.

When dips happen, it is being done so distribution gets better.

More people having NEM = stronger foundation that can't be broken.

Could we set that up with my account and the hugealice node? I'd *love* to just keep harvesting without ever having to worry about it. Can you PM me?

NEM value proposition is the public- and private chain interoperability and a Standard for banks.
Each chain can be used in the right purpose. The (trusted) private chain would be used within the bank (link an intranet) for speed and privacy reasons. If the bank sends an asset to another bank, the transaction would go  through the public chain in order to get it publicly verified and arrives at the private chain of the other bank.

Which bank ?
That was just a description of a usecase.
If you want a bank then just wait and buy in at 20k sat or higher. I will sell it to you then with a big smile
