thank you ! thought it will come out together with the catapult whitepaper. Did get this wrong

There is another Catapult whitepaper that has been written and is in its final stage of review.  That one will explain the Catapult technology and why we believe it is the best blockchain architecture there is.  The Apostille white paper is more about the specific application of just this one use case.

This is too technical for me but I am happy with the development in NEM. Though I already lost some value almost 50% of it but still I am holding since I do believe the dev team and its development. Hope more applications and projects to come.

investor hint

"average down"

mean if u bought in into something that u wont sell at a loss and u believe in its future
when it fall in price buy more to reduce ur average investment per coin

done right u reached a possible ROI 100% state of ur investmen
again far before ur initial maybe high entry price is reached
I agree, and remember, it doesnt matter what price anyone has currently entered NEM at.
Even if you paid 1400+ sats for your XEM, it will still give a good return long term, only those that sold have lost...

mining is so 2012-2013
Great infographic shared in the Apostille thread comparing to Factom!

BTW, what is an HD Colored Account?

It is something new, not ever created anywhere else except on NEM.

Are you familiar with the idea of colored coins?  That is when we take a Satoshi on Bitcoin and tag it with a value that is external to BTC, so that Satoshi can represent anything and be passed around the blockchain.

A colored account is where we tag an account in NEM with a value that is external to the NEM Blockchain, and now we pass control of that account around the blockchain, but we also send messages/assets both to and from that account, can even use it to make an asset or have its own domain name on NEM, or make it conjointly owned.

Basically in colored coins we "color" a non-mutable thing and pass it around.  In NEM, we color and account that is capable of being its own little factory and in turn doing lots and lots of things, even making its own little additional notarizations, assets, or messages.

Some people asked how Apostille is different from Factom.

this looks great. can´t wait for the whitepaper to be released

You are waiting for the Whitepaper? Why?

Here it is:

Ok, maybe the first step is to make it possible to import 'read-only' wallets so you can only watch what's happening on your account.

If this gets implemented, I will use the app for sure; so I don't have to go to the Blockchain explorer all the time.
Why am I not using it now? Because I'm a little paranoid and afraid that my Smartphone could be hacked and my XEMs are stolen.

When I have time; I will also point out some minor Design improvements. Which of course will be my own opinion. So you guys are free to ignore that =)

What I hear you saying is you want a "watch only" option where you add an account's address to the app, and then it just watches you and notifies you if there is some activity.  That is of course possible but nobody has added that yet.

That's exactly what I mean.

its basical just a filter for stuff that happens on blockchain based on address and not if u have the private key that fit
i think its not hard to modify that

example each blockexplorer act that way

all the light wallets run no own copy of chain anyway
and just ask the node they are connected too if he have relevant data of their addresses to show them

i dont even think he check if u can prove the ownership for that addresses by sign something

so in fact the change should be a little one to request data even regarding addresses u dont own private key

that would be your desired "watch mode"

such watching addresses ability can be important if u wana code stuff that automatic manage multisig stuff based on if some transactions happened

some kind of automated escrow or call it offchain smart contracts that only need multisig able blockchain

and tell me who have the most advanced multisig implementation?

yes

NEM!

Hi Rockethead,

Is it possible to import a wallet into the Mobile App just by its Address?
So you can just see the transactions/harvesting rewards/supernode rewards?

And when you actually want to send XEM or do another kind of transaction; only then the App asks for the Private Key?

>Is it possible to import a wallet into the Mobile App just by its Address? Not in our release version, but it can be programmed to watch though

> only then the App asks for the Private Key? Too hard to implement because the Private key is too long.

NEM - MAKE CRYPTO GREAT AGAIN!  Cheesy

NEM did surge from Brexit.  I notice on Coinmarketcap, compared to other alternates, it seems to be doing good at the moment.

are nanowallet and mobile wallets use same way of backup import keys?
means can i use same addresses on both?

You can use the same private key in Nano, Android, Lighwallet, and NCC and you will have the same account on each wallet.

Also, NCC has an option to export wallet to Lightwallet format.  That wallet will work in both Nano and Lightwallet.  And now that the Android app is out, the next update to Nano in a week or so will also have an "export wallet to Android" option where the app just scans a QR in Nano and now you have the same account on your phone and your desktop.

Can we add a second account to an existing nano or mobile wallet using the private key? Or do we need to import a second account into a second wallet?

yes you can. But the feature was taken out. Reason is the NCC import function gets screwed up a little, so says @Jabo38

The feature was taken out, so I understand this as "No, you can't". Correct?

It is a feature that was taken out. So, you "can actually put that back in". But you are not having it now because it has been taken out. But anyone reasonably skilled can put that feature back in.
