Great price rally and couple of news that would make XEM more valuable in coming days. Catapult and C++ based NEM architecture are the much anticipated features.

Are you sure that particular project uses the public chain ? Just from the sound of it I would have guessed it to be using mijin.

I was hoping to post a tweet about this news.

Clearly, NEM is involved - as per 1st para of report:

Quote
Singapore Dragonfly Fintech (DF), clinched a deal today to power Metro Money Exchange, a Malaysian licensed wholesale and money remittance company using the NEM's Blockchain Technology. The payment and settlement solution will be implemented in partnership with BC Fintech Sdn Bhd,  a Dragonfly system integrator.

The solution will drive the entire remittance chain, from wholesale foreign exchange to the receipt of fiat money at the recipient's end. The remittance market in Malaysia is about $10 billion per annum.

But what can we tenably and legitimately say about NEM's involvement?

They are using Mijin as a private chain, not the public NEM blockchain.
It says NEM technology, because mijin is based on NEM technology. They should have made it clearer in the press release.

Nonetheless NEM will benefit from this directly because if Mijin is successful and gets more money, it can pay more developers, who will contribute to the core (Catapult) which is shared by Mijin and NEM, plus it gives NEM a lot of credibility and proves that it's enterprise quality technology, which will help the entire NEM ecosystem immensely.

If you truly trust them then send them your XEM, get them to sell on BTC38, withdraw to their bank accounts and then they can transfer to Europe? That sounds extraordinarily slow and convoluted when you can just convert to BTC on places with more volume and sell them.

Unless you have some Chinese relatives I don't think that's possible. Otherwise people would be arbitaging Bitcoin like mad as the prices are often radically different in China.

Interesting reply. My relations to some Chinese people are brilliant. But they're not familiar with cryptos and its trading (like me).
Don't know how to create a benefit from these relationship.

Right now I don't know of any way to get from XEM to FIAT.
Looking for a private buyer may not be the worst idea. Of course you need to find someone trustworthy.

I believe the only fiat pairing with XEM is CNY (Chinese Yuan) via BTC38 but it's pretty trivial to convert to BTC which is very easy to cash out for fiat. Personally, I don't plan to sell any XEM for less than 1USD way down the road after it's changed the world Cheesy

Has anyone some experience how to cash out CNY via btc38 and transfer it to an European account?

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/dragonfly-fintech-selected-implement-payment-100000628.html

Let this sink in, talking about NEM's blockchain Tech:

The solution will drive the entire remittance chain, from wholesale foreign exchange to the receipt of fiat money at the recipient's end.
The remittance market in Malaysia is about $10 billion per annum

This remittance service is only one part of a spectrum of solutions Dragonfly is providing, which includes enabling a country to issue its own sovereign digital money," Wong said.

So, what other remittance partnerships are coming our way Smiley

Congrats to Lon Wong!

Time to fire up a supernode, no more procrastination!

So far since the launch nem has been consistently falling, both in overall ranking (which is fake anyway as most coins are not even released yet)  and also volume. I will put my money that this trend will continue and next step would be this: 24 hour volume under $100. That's coming in next few months.

You will invest to "XEM short markets"?

What happened to unclaimed NEM stakes? I Haven't looked at coins in a few years but remembered that I had at least 1 if not 2 tokens for claiming NEM Stakes but never claimed them i guess.

I'm a Nem stakeholder from the very beginning and pleased about the current Nem growth.  I'm not really familiar with cryptos and how to deal with.

Questions:
Can someone provide a XEM-escrow service to avoid usage of exchanges? Or is it already available?
(Exchange means: create an account, send XEM to buy bitcoins, send bitcoins to an exchange which sells bitcoins against Euro or USD, verify identity, then send money to my bank account) This is not user friendly (and discourages people).
Or can I find private buyers/sellers (or a platform for sellers/buyers) inside the NEM community?
Or any other idea, which simplifies the procedure?

And btw - this is what I found about a special way of encryption.
http://users.telenet.be/d.rijmenants/en/visualcrypto.htm
a.m. link is about visual cryptography. Might be this technology (two layers) could be used for encryption for low (secret) data quantities (like private key).
Will probably make a test run (engraving polished silver bars) to test if and how it's suitable for silver coins.

Right now I don't know of any way to get from XEM to FIAT.
