@ Jabo38: Did you receive an answer from Microsoft?

I think that every kind of public relation is good for NEM. Even if we are using Azure to attract more people. In this case, all those people can try every coin listed on Azure. And then they are realizing that there is NEM - in regard to the rest of all shitcoins listed on it, NEM could be the best the've ever seen and tried.

I guess in that case - they simply choose NEM for further proceedings... and all of this could just be a positive result of using Microsoft Azure.

Think about it!
...just my 2 Xems..

(P.S.: I don't like MS Azure but I see the chances behind it for our purposes)

3 emails and no response.  Makoto was able to meet with a representative from Microsoft directly so I'll ask him more about that.

Why even bother cooperating with Microsoft?

People tend to be shortsighted, all they see is short term profit. Not long term benefits.

We already won, the coin is already successful. Now just wait for mass adoption.

Your being sarcastic, right?

question guys. does the amount of XEM you have in your wallet have any effect on the amount you will be able to harvest? like if you have more XEM, do you get more harvested proportional to what you already hold? someone please educate me. thanks.

In my opinion Azure is a dubious bet. On the one hand, yes there is a chance that companies, perhaps MS wants to work with NEM and use the platform as a template to build applications on top of it, on the other hand you risk companies (MS?) to "steal" your shit and create their own platform, which means joining Azure would mean fuelling the competition and ultimately stimulating your own demise...

Good tl;dr of the problem of Azure now we faced with.
Thanks.

Yeah no....you want mass adoption ? Go out and push NEM. Show people what NEM can do and see if they'll build on it. It aint going to happen if everoyne is waiting.

NEM should be able to reach visibility on its own and/or by cooperating with other grassroot-type movements, without the help of cooperations that don't quite fit in with a "new economy movement". I might be wrong?

http://www.cnbc.com/2016/04/04/microsoft-major-banks-strike-blockchain-deal.html

Azure is looking more important, R3 consortium of banks will only look at Azure-afflitated coins.

Which is stupid considering the amount of shitcoins on Azure... Tongue

It appears Microsoft is attempting to dominate the crypto markets as they did the OS one.

Although i think Azure can prove to be beneficial for NEM, if anything this makes me more cautious -- Especially given history. Until an agreement can be struck that isn't so ambiguous/vague, i'd be really careful.

The bigger the company, the less i trust them (Imagine what i think of Google Tongue). It's just another example of excessive centralization and all it takes is a few new bosses and policies and everything goes tits up.

Hopefully NEM can become more established and known before Microsoft gobbles up too much of the market.

Why not see what Red Hat has to offer?

JPY/BTC are now in the top 5 for volume.  Hours ago, BTCbox had the most volume for any exchange located in the world and they are trading JPY/BTC.

This is good news for NEM.  The Japanese dragon has woken up?  Since NEM overtook Mona, NEM is the biggest Japanese alternate in the country and is poised to benefit from this surge in Japan.

NEM team needs to get XEM listed on BTCbox, Bitflyer and Coincheck.  Tell them about the deals with techbureau, infoteria, SBI, et cetera.

Zaif is bigger than all of them combined. XEM will be listed in zaif. Time will tell. That much I can say.

Is anyone actively chasing them yet?

I presume they are but zaif was mentioned a looong time ago. Either way the more exchange the better obv
