I am for free market, individual choices and financial freedom. It should make sense that people who are more hard-working and smarter should end up better off so that people are willing to work harder, taking risk and innovating. So even if we start with a perfectly flat line for wealth distribution, we will start to move to somewhat normal distribution of wealth over times and imo it is bad idea to intervene with that process.
I prefer the capital accumulation and innovation aspect of capitalism, but the big flaw in it is the generational transfer of wealth. One should not be born in an extreme richness just as much as one should not be born in misery, slavery with litter chance to progress in life. We should all embrace the motto of giving everyone a fair chance in life and help people, especially with children, who are a disadvantaged position to start the life with.
