There are quite a few forum members who provide an highly trustable escrow service so I have no idea why that should scream 'scam'.
Because I am new here and haven't had any experience with escrows before and who is "highly" trusted is out of my knowledge here. That is why I want to use an automated escrow such as https://coinguard.org/. And having communications with 3 people can be a bit challenging it seems (to me at least) using the sites PM system.
I have good trust ratings. Send me a code to PM and I'll pay when the account is setup and working.

I bought two codes, and both worked. He gave the codes first, however I feel fairly confident that the guy has legitimate codes and isn't going to screw me or others over.

I will gladly use an escrow. But correct me if I'm wrong but you wanted to use another member as an escrow. I will not be doing that and that is why I didn't bother to reply because that screams scam. I will use https://coinguard.org/ as an escrow with no problem if you are still wanting to buy. But I do not plan on going first with anyone either. The one buyer above I used an escrow with too.
