Ok, I agree with some of the suggestions for a title change. I understand that the first title was a bit annoying, but it shouldn't be now.

I took information regarding netflik ban Bitcoin and crypto ads from BitcoinArchive twitter. I think BitcoinArchive which has over 1 Million followers on twitter is unlikely to share FUD news against Bitcoin.

If you took the information from there why didn't you use the whole title?

I continue to read each response as my learning material in understanding about Bitcoin.

The best thing to do is either edit the topic title which is clearly wrong at this point or lock this all together.

Don't spread FUD in headlines because that's all that most people read.
That's how news is made, they make FUD everywhere and spread the word until panic in the market sets in. Readers should be able to verify what they're reading, so anyone shouldn't trust anything online too easily without verifying the truth first.

But look at Saylor's reaction when the market is correcting. He looked still very relaxed.

OP, change title of your thread so it doesn't look like the FUD you want to spread. Netflix didn't actually ban Bitcoin, it was just ads bans that some other platform (Google, Facebook, Twitter) might have done before.

Maybe something like this: Netflix bans ads Bitcoin or Crypto, Human Rights Foundation Donates.

It's funny because there are bunch of series which are streaming on the netflix who are mentioning bitcoin all the time. I have seen few of them which were based on the criminal/drug abuse genre in which most of the criminals are using bitcoin to transfer the funds anonymously. So FBI agents keep wandering and tracking down the so called crypto criminal because of whom drugs keep moving here and there.

All the way back big ang theory also mentions bitcoin in one entire episode where the friends used to mine the bitcoin but loose it due to lost laptop and shit.

End result: Does not matter bitcoin promotion is banned on netflix or not, the series which fund them already taking care of that. Lolz.  Grin

Thanks for everything. I take it very positively. Maybe because of the topic title I gave.

I'm too stupid to spread FUD about Bitcoin because the percentage level of my hatred for people who do FUD against Bitcoin is very high, even I say people who do this are mentally retarded in seeing future opportunities.

In my opinion, this prohibition is their strategy of utilizing Bitcoin which has attracted the attention of all investors around the world because based on data, Bitcoin searches on Google are very high in several countries as reported by Bitcoin Documenting, Aug 31.

I once said in a post that developing countries should follow what African countries are doing with regards to Bitcoin and today the Bitcoin Archive shared that information.

Sorry, my English is not like normal conversation.

Firstly, the Netflix bit is indeed only about ads on cryptos and gambling, not on banning Bitcoin. Secondly, it seems that the first source is an article by the Sydney Morning Herald (I've never been on their website before this story), and it refers to "local sources" when making the claims about crypto and gambling ads being rejected, also along with political ads and ads of any products to children.
So we'll see how this actually goes, and if restrictions are so generic, it's okay that cryptos are a part of it. After all, crypto ads in general are not Bitcoin ads: they are ads of centralized services (wallets, exchanges) or shady projects like ICOs.
On the other note, I am happy for the op that Indonesia made a pro-crypto move.

it won't have a big impact on the bitcoin price if netflix bans bitcoin because indeed I also don't see great potential if netflix accepts bitcoin payments, at this time netflix shares are also falling and many other stocks are also falling, so I think right now just waiting for the market bitcoin is recovering and waiting for the market to be crowded again in any country including Indonesia

Heck I didn't even know Netflix had ads.

They don't, not yet. But they're making an ad-supported subscription option so that they can raise the prices of all the other subscription tiers. Probably because they lost so many subscribers when they started bleeding TV series and movies like Marvel.

They don't want to ban Bitcoin because they are suffering financial issues from the pandemic. They are cutting their staff number in order to reduce the burden of salary budget paid for staffs.

Bitcoin has huge community and if they can get more users from Bitcoin community, they will not refuse to do that. If they don't get any mandatory requirement from government, they will not do that. Government so far does not ban Bitcoin in the USA. as I know.

They cannot ban bitcoin period. What you are saying is not real and people might misunderstand you because of your title. Better change it right away and next time you need to learn to take your time to read before posting. Because things like this might create doubt and confusion among the newbies. Anyway, the news of the Indonesian government announcing to the public that there has been a growth in their economy since the establishment of crypto exchanges is great news for all, and hope they gonna increase their growth in the future as well.
I guess it's the ad on bitcoin that they are banning. However, it seems that they are really late because bitcoin is growing by the numbers and never be affected by this so called bans from any companies, much more to social media giants like Facebook. Sooner or later they will realized that they made a big mistakes and maybe make a U-turn in the future and allow it.

Heck I didn't even know Netflix had ads.

I think that this is part of their new business strategy, which means that there will be cheaper subscriptions that will include advertisements, and those who do not want them will have to pay a higher price. Something similar to what YT has, if ads annoy you, buy a premium service and enjoy without distractions. In addition, the competition is getting bigger and bigger in the world of streaming services, so Netflix is no longer what it was 5-6 years ago.

The banning of cryptocurrency ads by large businesses like Google had little impact. The fact that a company bans bitcoin advertisements won't change its stands. I'm not sure why such judgments are made, though it could be for a license to operate in a certain location where cryptocurrency is not recognized as legal tender by the authorities. They have all seen that, so far, bitcoin has continued to develop despite the black harsh attached to its name.

How on earth Netflix can ban bitcoin? They are way too small for such things. They have banned crypto related advertising on their platform. That's fine! No harm is expected on cryptos due to such movement. Crypto will eventually find its place among the mass. I believe Google had taken similar kind of decision last year in crypto ads. It didn't impact crypto 5o any major level. So it's all fine!

"Netflix bans bitcoin" <-- Clickbait.
They banned crypto ads from their streaming platform, not Bitcoin (they can't do that anyway).
Don't spread FUD in headlines because that's all that most people read.

That's how Media gets TRP, and this is how they make money. But this is a forum, and the OP unlike to earn anything spreading FUD. I guess OP himself didn't read the news and covered the Headlines. If you merit such posts, others will be motivated to do the same trick (Clickbait). So, I would recommend others discourage people from spreading FUD and spend their merit on such a topic.

In addition to that i think it will be more better if OP can just do good by editing the topic by changing bitcoin with crypto, and possibly move the thread to beginners and help section or altcurrencies discussion.

If anyone want to read the article about Netflix ban crypto ads, visit this site to get better information https://cointelegraph.com/news/netflix-bans-crypto-commercials-on-ad-based-streaming-service-report

It's nothing new about big sites ban crypto ads since most of them either scam or ponzi scheme, as we know crypto is centralized coins and can be manipulated by the CEO. The another reason might be it's high risk investment and every countries still not accept Bitcoin, of course if there's a country didn't ban Neflix and ban Bitcoin, it will be a problem.

I mean, this really isn't the first time a service has banned bitcoin/crypto-related ads. Also, this is just Netflix — it's really no biggie compared to the likes of if Facebook/Twitter/Google does it. Heck I didn't even know Netflix had ads.

When the Bitcoin price was below $20k, there was an information banning Bitcoin and advertising related to crypto by Netflix. Spontaneously I was surprised and the question arises "what's with all this?"

Suddenly a notification appeared on my Android that the Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Bambang Soesatyo said the establishment of a crypto exchange helped Indonesia's economic growth. Reportedly, at the end of this year the crypto exchange was officially launched in Indonesia. This is really encouraging news for me as a citizen from Indonesia because the efforts that will be realized by the government have been long awaited by investors.

When Netflix banned Bitcoin, the Human Rights Foundation donated $325,000 in BTC towards the development of Bitcoin.
