Code:
Bitcoin Gold mandatory Network Upgrade countdown!
Estimated block height: 536200
Days remaining: 8
All $BTG Partners including exchanges, pools & wallets, must upgrade to the full node 0.15.1 - before the hardfork.

Full details here: https://bitcoingold.org/bitcoin-gold-network-upgrade/
Better hurry with the fork. Z9's are going to be driving the difficulty up as we speak.

Going to be a bugger to find blocks after the fork if they start going after BTG

Also, somebody please have a reliable AMD miner ready to go with that fork.... Equihash coins are forking and no miner  Roll Eyes

Also, people wrote the same in the BTG slack.
But the team told us that its not they, its hackers. Trojan hackers, premine is low (official low, but hidden is high, I don`t remember the number of coins, but its very big). Many fees, maybe fees also from hackers? Be careful!

I think its changes is made to make a new premine.

Could be. One need to track blocks from pools to check for hidden fees. Anyway they are goin down very fast. I think that 51% attack was almost 99% for sure done by Jack Liao to get some extra coins for the team. Ultimate scammers.

Its most scammy BTC fork. I wrote about viruses in official wallet, about Martin scammer, about official and hidden fee on the pool and users who mining more than a day got nothing. Premine was a bigger, than in official release.
Be carefull with it!

Here is an explanation of a double spend attack: https://forum.bitcoingold.org/t/faq-how-much-is-lost-in-a-double-spend-attack/1424

I have nothing further to say to you, your tone does not merit a response from me anymore, too disrespectful.

Bye!

Ahahahaha, everything as I expected and predicted. Scammers running away. I hope somebody in Africa will find you and show you everything you deserve for scamming people. Good luck with your shitcoin be Bitconnect 2.0. Already 96% down from ATH.

There are a few things that bothered me about this reply:

1) We had nothing to do with being 51% attacked, we did not have a vulnerability or exploit to cause this, it can happen to any altcoin as this website shows https://www.crypto51.app/ - no matter which chain. Also, the number 388k was just a magic number that the media adopted, so was the number $18million. There is no way to know the exact amount, because this depends on the exchange reports. I personally have seen no official ones. However, we have still taken further action to help prevent this from happening. We have an emergency telegram with engineers from different exchanges and are monitoring hashrate anomalies constantly for multiple different hashing algorithms. This is our defense against 51% attacks.

2) What exactly do we have to do with how Xapo sells their split? They did the exact same thing with BCH, they do as they want. https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/7hx1ph/xapo_530000_bch_selloff_only_2413_bch_remain/

Since you are mentioning being down from 95%, currently there are 18 out of the top 50 CMC coins that are down over 85% or higher  https://twitter.com/btg_Joseph/status/1010537578259415041 https://athcoinindex.com/ . Is this our fault as well? And selling at ATH? That was in December, if we were a scam and still here now June 23? The only ones we are scamming are ourselves.

Here is the truth: https://bitcoingold.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/BitcoinGold-Roadmap.pdf Our original whitepaper from October, page 10 of 12, this is how the endowment is being paid. Time-locked funds, so it was never possible for us to exit scam anyway.

Have a good day.

Your response only shows that you are LIER and DONT UNDERSTAND THE TECH. Like every other scammer.

1. Address that was used in double spend attack is very well known, it received 388k coins. Here is screenshot for you, since you are not professional and dont even understand the tech. Please keep your bullshit with "it can be old address" for yourself. You aint fooling anybody here, because we have facts. https://248qms3nhmvl15d4ne1i4pxl-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/bitcoin-gold-double-spend-51-percent-attack.jpg . So shut up when you say that nobody stole anything. Number of transactions to that address clearly shows that it was used to make double spend. Go check your blockhain.

2. XAPO did not sell all their BCH via exchanges. Right now those 388k are dumping on Bitfinex exchanges by 10k parts every 10 pm daily. 85 % down from ATH is NOT 95 % down from ATH.

You dont have any facts to cover yourself with, like it was with mybtgwallet that you promoted on your site. You are top1 scammers. Coin chart clearly shows that your coin is nothing more than premine scam without real interest from ppl. I have even more facts for you:

3. You were claiming that you pay ppl in BTG for their work in your team. Coin is 95 % down. In your official telegram one of your community managers said that you were spending around 2500 (monthly limit) coins when it was 250-300 USD per coin. It is about 500k USD monthly. Right now your coin is 95% down from ATH, so you must be spending 25000 coins per month, that only proves one thing - Jack Liao is a lier and did that attack by himself to get more coins since your 200k coins premine will be nothing with such burnrate.

Waiting for another portion of excuses from you, since you dont even understand what you are talking about. I hope ppl will read this thread and be warned. You are ultimate scammers. I think next bullshit response from you will be like "bla bla bla sir, you are attacking me, have a nice day." because you scammers were busted with real facts. You are the reason ppl will never trust crypto.

You know, viruses was in early versions of your wallet.
What can you say about huge premine? About hidden fee in your pool from start? And users mined more then day after start and got nothing. Be careful with it.

You really know a lot about BTG's history! Looks like misunderstanding of BTG is very common. But we know that it's never too late for us to realize and begin to fix it Smiley

1. Our GitHub account was once hacked and the released binaries were replaced by a hacker. It doesn't come with any typical virus but added a very clever backdoor. We have never seen this kind of attack before. Fortunately we have finally solved the problem before the coins are hacked. Here's the analysis:
https://github.com/BTCGPU/BTCGPU/wiki/Replaced-Windows-Wallet-Problem-Analysis-(Nov-26th)
And the announcement after the accident:
https://medium.com/@btcgpu/vulnerable-wallets-and-the-suspicious-file-82cae0c48a48

2. The community endowment (or, premine as you said) is 0.5% of the total supply. We don't know any other altcoin with this tiny amount of premine. The endowment is mined by the miners by their willing. All the endowment are in 4-of-6 multisig with time-lock to ensure it won't be dump by any team member. The use of the endowment is totally for the development and community, as described in our FAQ (currently our website is under attack but as soon as it's recovered I will put the link here).

3. In principle, the pool z-nomp was developed by one of our core dev (Martin) and it hasn't once been included as a part of the official BTG project. It's his right to include any fee in the software (just as miners, but the pool is an opensource project). Some of the pool ops who had read the code have removed the fee and some had kept the fee. However one operator didn't read the code and complained on social medias. Then Martin admitted it's his fault for not addressing the fee everywhere in the documentation. And finally he returned all the fee to that pool, and donated the remaining to charities.

4. On the first day of the launch the partnered pool "pool.gold" has encountered some problems which caused it in an incorrect chain. Technically it was not a chain split because pool.gold itself produced a wrong chain. It ends up the pool lost some blocks. The pool finally 100% refunded all the miners according to the accepted shares in the database.

Hope you are happy with my answers.

so:

1. 51% attack and 388k coins stolen, being dumped on Bitfinex now;
2. what about that February Xapo coins that are being dumped on exchanges and not via OTC? How many coins do they have? like 700k I guess?

You are down 95% from ATH. It is a well known fact that even small Bitmain GPU farm can make 51% attack again on your chain. Nice exit scam tho. Selling ATH like Charlie Lee did ) I think this is an asian thing.

Hi there,

Just a newbie question ,

I have coinomi wallet , how do i uprade it for the fork ?

You don't need to do anything. Just avoid sending or receiving BTG near the fork height.

Why need to change the algorithm?

Hello, the reason for this decision was because of Bitmain's release of the Antminer Z9 mini (Equihash ASIC). BTG's vision has always been ASIC resistance so there was no discussion to be had about this, we had to act.

Our new algorithm is a collaborative effort, we are using a variant of Equihash that is quite a bit more memory hard (2.5GB per thread), this should be sufficient to invalidate this batch shipment.

Cheers.
