Even after six years, I am glad you found your coins. Missing ATH price for you seems sad but who can't say that bitcoin never reach to its ATH in a few years again. Keep holding your coins like many people who are patient enough to earn a lot.
We have been encountering various challenges in our journey with Bitcoin. Some choose to stay despite unexpected market condition while others decided to leave. This journey may not be as smooth as we wanted it to be, but I believe that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. We heard success and failure stories in this field of cryptocurrency, what is important is the lesson we learn from all of these. Never give up, instead strengthen hope, and trust its potential to progress and prosper.

You have already seen the capacity of cryptocurrency to reached the highest price you cannot imagine and have almost loss it all when the password was gone several years ago so what more waiting for another months or years for the blooming of the market again? And besides the 2017 hype is just a small movement for what bitcoin and all altcoins may have in future.we are just talking 6 years here from 2013 to 2019 so what do you think in 2030 if the mass adoption had already happens?

I played about with Bitcoins and litecoins and Feathercoins back in 2013. These were the days when Bitcoin was pretty easy to obtain through online mining pools and faucets ect.  As time went by,  I lost interest in Crypto and kinda forgot about it until Bitcoin hit 19k in 2017 . By this time I had changed my computer and hard drives and along with it all my passwords and wallets and dat files,  to cut a long story short I searched all over for my old hardrives, ran recovery on one of the drives I had kept and found nothing I gave up searching and just got used to the fact that I had lost a lot of money.

Fast foward to 2019 we were cleaning out a cuboard and at the very back was a shoe box and in that shoebox were 3 hardrives one of which contained all my passwords, wallets and dat files for all my Bitcoins, Litecoin and Feathercoins. I may have lost out on when Bitcoin was at its best but I now have all the info I need. I have sold some of it and will hold the rest until Bitcoin goes up again and it will. The money I got from selling some of the bitcoin and litecoin even though not at its highest I basically got for doing nothing apart from online pool mining  and playing with faucets  back in 2013,  so im happy with it. Never give up if you have lost money on Cryptos and if you did what I did keep,  looking for that lost hardrive it will turn up eventully.  In 2019 it is so easy to buy and sell Bitcoions too and it was instant money from selling to transfering the moeny into paypal then into my bank account.  How things have changed for the better for cryotocoins Smiley

Don't give up, I like the sentence because it is a phrase that encourages us when facing difficulties or in a state of deterioration. The same is true of the situation of the crypto currency market which is experiencing a decline in prices. The story that you are telling is very inspiring to all of us that we cannot continue to dissolve in failure, because there is a further story that we must face.

Good thing for those who early adopts bitcoin and some alts few years on when they were created.Price isnt really high that much and obtaining satoshis wont really be that hard compared as of now.
Lucky for you that you had able to find that hard drive when you are already giving up on finding it.Luck is still on your side actually and those situation do really prevent you on selling up your coins
into such ATH but still lucky that you still have them rather than to lost it completely.

The story would have been more interesting if you state a figure.
Like how many coins you got and it's corresponding value at the time or the time you sold it.

There are similar stories like this in the net IMO and anyone can make their own story.
You do not need to prove it buy exerting effort showing some evidence, just make it more specific as everyone would love to know how much.

I'm not sure if I want to feel rejoice or upset on what happened to you OP. You could have search all over your place in that time then you could have sold all your crypto with a much higher price. But still, you should not also sold it on this time and you just continue to hold because I believe that the next bull run is far greater than in 2017.

This is a pretty compelling story and usually when you hear about recovering from long lost hard drives they are usually corrupt or even worst the user not remembering the passwords to them.
Glad it all worked out for you at the end of the day.
Very inspiration to the crypto community indeed. Grin

So may have lost their systems, hard drives etc and lost their coins for good, so you're one of the lucky ones, losing all those information will be tantamount to losing quite a whole lot of money, even though a the initial stage it was worth nothing, but it's pay for being their from the beginning and working on the network.
Just like the CEO of an exchange where he died early this month and he is the one who controls private key so i think it will be hard for them to recover it. You’re lucky to find your hard drive, and because of this i think i should backed up my wallet now so my family will still be able to recover it. We should always protect and backed up our wallet at all times.

Hope to believe in crypto are two important weapons to us in this way.
It takes more patience and trying to spread the idea to help bring in the general adoption of crypto .

Good for you man, I am glad you found your hard drive and recovered your passwords. Same thing I always tell people, don't give up on bitcoin buy now that price is down and then hodl. You never can tell what the future holds. Bitcoin maybe down for down but sure soon enough we will see the rise in price. Just accumulate more and never give up
If you trust bitcoin or crypto there is no need to think of quitting. Blockchain technology is going to improve and rise back again, and those who kept their coins in their wallet will surely be rewarded soon.
It could be a big regrets for those who sell their coins early this year cause if they are still holding it until now they'll might be gaining profit today.

I understand that the content of the post is a out recovering lost bitcoins, but it could also be applied to this email who feel they have lost their investments, as we are deep into a bearish market. Never give up! The market may be down now but it has a high potential to grow and dominate the financial sector.
I think that's what the moral of the story that OP wants us to know. Grin He's just too lucky he managed to hide his private keys and password and by that, it means that he has still had hope that it would come up to recover or rise someday. And he's right after 3-4 years of losing hope he then finally realize when Bitcoin has suddenly shown up to some social media and movies.

Lucky for you to find those 3 hard drives. I think the title should be lost and found and not never giver up. Still luck has been into your side. Back in 2017 my PC had an electrical problem which started a fire damaging my hard drive. Never regain anything from the hard drive ive lost all my password, private keys. Now i wrote them all down and keep at a safe place just a second layer security in case it happen again.
I agree that bitcoin was very easy to obtain way back in 2012-2013. I still remember the days where I save the links of the faucets and captchas and earn from it.

Rolling dice were also there and became one of the profitable platforms I have tried. I luckily kept my bitcoins until it went high and I was so happy about my decision of joining bitcoin before.
Its really fortunate for those who believe on bitcoin on early days, but for those who are just new in this market and already lose their money I think you should keep on going. Never give up on any trials in your life, with bitcoin it can make things possible. A great experience we have in this market, let’s continue to work.
No not new users but the panic sellers lost their money, I know old investors are really lucky but if a person get the opportunity to buy at low price and hold then there is no ;lose, it is all about the user, don’t get into scamming, losing once is not the problem, but taking it as your luck and not learning from it your mistake for sure.

This is really amazing you were able to find your Bitcoin and other alt coins. I lost wallets before for 0.020 that I don't even know how my password did not work. I like to use crypto and still do it it a fun way to get paid. With the demand for BTC I see it easily going to $10-$40k per Bitcoin.

What I don't understand why don't most people see the opportunity in this, gold real gold only there because people want jewelry what makes you think it would stay forever but even gold can fail. Thank you may you be able to get BTC and other alt coins again.

your experience is very interesting, drawing conclusions from the experience you tell me, in my opinion, we must always be careful in investing in the world of cryptocurrency and we must always be enthusiastic in any situation because prices can rise without us knowing it. keep trying and work hard I'm sure we will all get maximum results. Cool

Bitcoin trading / Investments etc are not an easy things and you cannot get rich from them in short term. These things requires experience and more the experience you have, more there will be chances that you gain  profit from bitcoins.

You're lucky enough that even after years you were still able to find your hard drive. It's amazing that even though you stopped for a while, your trust on bitcoin was still there. You still believe and didn't give up even though unfortunate things happened and lost the money and the opportunity. Thanks for sharing your story and inspiring us

I believe that You were not the only one.ws lost interest in cryptos in the past years.

Never give up if you have lost money on Cryptos and if you did what I did keep,  looking for that lost hardrive it will turn up eventully.

You were very lucky, but we can not say that other people will have the same luck that you had. we need to evaluate every decision we make. In the case of someone investing in cryptos it is recommended that this person does a lot of research on cryptos, invest only money that can afford to lose and always have a plan B. In the case of someone buying or owning crypto it is advisable to be sure of protect your crypto and have a plan B.
