Announcing MyEtherWallet v3.24.00: Difficulty Bomb&Updating blockchain

Due to the complexity of the Bomb and the increased risk of hacking, we pushed a rather drastic update that implements a number of changes and improvements, including enhancement of efficiency and scalability of the blockchain, acceleration of transaction speed, and additional security in the form new formats private keys which will help protect users against hacking.
If you are using private key or UTC, then you need to go into the wallet and update manually, otherwise they risk being unprotected.

How do i update my Ethereum wallet?

1. Go to our website /]MyEtherWallet.com
2. Unlock your wallet using your Keystore File (UTC / JSON) or simply use your private key.
3. Click Unlock and wait for the update.

Please note that you need to manually update your wallet, failure to do so may result in funds being lost.

We are taking these measures to protect both you and our network from phishing and malicious attacks.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
MyEtherWallet Security Team.

If you use other methods, then ignore this message.

I think you should try using EWBF v0.5 mining to mine Equihash coins. The P104 should be really good at mining those coins, e.g. AION (v210_9). Performance is somewhere between 1080 and 1080Ti.

Imho, EWBF is the most efficient miner that gives you the highest profit per day.

Take a look at this article:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ewbfs-cuda-equihash-miner-06-4466962

I like EWBF v0.5. I think the miner gets a nice 2-4% bump in performance. However, I'm not sure about mining AION coin though...

Just got a new 10 x P104-100 mining rig from bitnand.com. Currently doing around ~400MH/s single mining ETH.

I've heard some folks are getting 41-42MH/s per card. How do you configure your card? What clock & power limit do you set them at? Many thanks  Grin

https://www.bitnand.com/product-page/10-gpu-riserless-mining-rig if anyone's interested.

i have heard the same thing! answer to this question would be nice.. Thanks Shater Grin

What worked for me was not undervolting too much. Initially, I power-capped the P104 cards at 130W in nvidia-smi, which turned out to be too low... once I increased power cap to 145W, I was able to overclock more and achieved 41MH/s. Rig is stable, currently at over 25k accepted shares.

That said, your mileage may vary depending on the card. The bitnand P104 cards are stable at 41MH/s, but previous Gigabyte P104 only got up to 39MH/s.

I tried many configurations but never reached 35-36 mh/s.
I didnt buy them, just had one of them for testing.
I guess this card's hasrates has more volatility than the standart 1060,1070 and 1080s.

Your cards are already overclocked so EthEnlargement will not work. The only way to tune your cards is to decrease power consumption setting down GPU Core voltage to 800 mV or decreasing TDP to 60-70% and increase memory frequency +400-800 Mhz depending on your chips.

Wait, so ETHEnlargement is just overclocking? I thought it is more about memory timing tuning. I don't see why it wouldn't work on P104 if it's memory timing settings.  Huh

Correct. ETHlargement is essentially tweaks in memory timings. It is a pure software change implementation. Kudos to the developments who came up with this genius mod though  Roll Eyes

I mean if ETHlargement "hack" is pure software, then it should theoretically work on more cards, right?

The fact that it doesn't work on more cards suggests to me there is something more complicated to this software than memory timing tweaks.

It works on specific memory types used by 1080 or 1080Ti.

Are the fans noisy inside the 4U rack case? I'm interested in getting one of these for my rig.

I'm using an open air rig right now, but its actually not very safe with pets around. I want to replace the rig with an enclosed case like yours.

Also, where did you get it?

Hmmmm, the fans are definitely not quiet. They aren't as noisy as Antminer S9 (76dm), but I would say they are as noisy as the dyson hair dryer haha. Grin

I purchased the rig from the bitnand.com guys.

How much is P104-100 per card these days?

Bitnand.com quoted me $450 per card, which seems like a decent deal for 40MH/s. It does seem like GPU prices have come down a lot in the recent two to three months.

Ebay has GTX 1080tis for under $500 each. That is a terrible deal for a p104. 50mh for 1080ti and ethlargement.

Dude, how can you compare new cards with 2nd hand cards?  Huh For that matter, a 2nd hand P104 is going for like under $300, which makes P104 a way better choice than 1080Ti.

The 1080 Ti remains the better choice always even if it is second hand because it was not designed specifically for mining and has bigger warranty and resale value.

All the cards that are build exclusively for mining like the P series from Nvidia have only 3 months of warranty. Guess which of both cards is build with better quality materials and has passed more thorough testing ?

Having used P106 for nearly 9 months, I personally don't see any problems with these cards. My friends also has P104 running for nearly 7 months without ANY problems, way pass your supposedly 3 month warranty concern.

Unless you have proof, I think your claims are just hypothesis without data to support it.

That's a very good price. P104 were going for $700+ just three months back. It's good to see GPU prices are finally becoming more reasonable.

The price seems reasonable for this barebone rig.  Anyone know how this motherboard compares to the octominer motherboard?  I have heard the octominer while running 8 gpu's is pretty stable, not sure how this 10 gpu motherboard runs.

I have been very happy with my 10 GPU rig so far. Super stable and runs cool. The P104 cards rarely exceeds 60'C even during summer weather. The open-air rig feels very sturdy.

Performance wise the rig is inline with my expectations. 10 x P104 gets me a little bit over 400MH/s at 1400W. This is single mining ETH with Claymore V11.8.

I also like the fact that it is stackable. Currently, I am thinking about getting three more of these Bitnand 10 GPU rigs and stack them up.

I have heard good things about the 8-GPU barebone rig. It's built by the same company that owns Inno3D and Zotac.

I like the fact that it is a 4U rack mounted design, which means you can put them neatly in a server rack.
