What you need is a reliable place to buy and sell bitcoins tied to your bank account. I use Coinbase, (https://www.coinbase.com/join/5870b8c2b93eb527a46c40a1) that has proven reliable and reasonably fair with prices and fees (the link gives you a 10$ bonus for the first 100$ spent. Added advantage it allows you to directly buy Ether and LTC as well as bitcoin. However things change constantly, so it's bet to keep an eye on what the different merchants are doing (bitpanda and others).
Then you are going to need to transfer the Btc or Eth, you bought to an exchange, it's the best way to start. It's a good idea to open an account on different exchanges, since coins can be delisted without much notice, and exchanges are not the safest places, it diminishes risks and can create profit opportunity, since arbitrage between places is still possible in these markets that are not mature. I've using c-cex, nova, cryptoPia, poloniex and bittrex, never had a problem with any of them. They just work differently, Poloniex allowing you to do margin trading.
You can also buy ether, that allows you to take part in the multiple ICOS we are seing these days. They can be good return but following that is time consuming.
After that it depends a lot on your strategy (short term/long term, day trade/investment, amount of time you want to spend). So it's hard to be specific.
Just remember a few differences between stock markets and crypto
- there is no bottom in crypto, a token can go (and often does) to a nil value, cutting losses is quite often necessary
- Assets are not secure, specially on exchanges, so security is an issue and has to be dealt with according to the risk you are prepared to take
- there are on these markets geeky teenagers with no prior experience of trading and they can create movements (both sides) that are totally crazy, specially since some tokens can be in the hands of a very limited number of big holders, so expect the unexpected.
- very few crypto actually have a purpose or a reason to exist or any kind of assets backing their value (some do but in different ways than shares) so you need to know what you are buying, forum here is a good place to gather information but is also full or rumors and bullshit.

My one piece of advice would be to do a three months discovery with a small amount of money. You do get burned in the beginning.
As for return, my average daily return over the last 8 monts is slightly over 1%, but I am quite conservative and cautious, you can do better (or a lot worse) if you accept more risk.
The main thing is that crypto is fun and because of low fees and infinite division of assets allows the multiplication of small orders, and that can be quite efficient when you would lose your shirt if you did that on the stock market.

So you have experience of stock exchange which is good thing and it will help you make successful trades in the crypto world too. You have taken names of some coins here which is really good collection however I would add monero and Nvo coins too. They are currently very hot and gaining volume. Also ripple is centralised currency just in case you have missed it, so the price is controlled in it.

Rest, you can start learning about the Initial coin offering from the alternate currency section. These are very profitable projects as long as you trade with right project. Have some more reading about what it is and they try it out. ;-)

Bitcoin- in bullish time
Just invest your money in bitcoin first so you can be on the cryptocurrency that doesn't have too much volatility and once you have invested in bitcoin then just study the other cryptocurrency so you can discover them by your own and once you understand the way of other cryptocurrency then you may apply diversification for a low risk investment portfolio.

Do not hesitate with bitcoin, I'm sure the price will go up, especially if the speed of the transaction increases, then it will make the price go up. Day to day, bitcoin is increasingly in need and use, and that will make the price increase.
Yes you are right but I think that if you are new then you should not directly go for investing bitcoin. Because you don’t have much experience about bitcoin. if you want to go for investing then I would suggest you to invest the ordinary money in real life and get some experience about investment. Then come to bitcoin and start investing with very little amount after you start getting profit you then come to higher investment.

Yes , i'm new at this , but i have more than 15 years of experience in the financial market, the Crypto will be just 5% of my portfolio...
From where i should start ?
How i can actually invest in those cryptos ?

No offense but 15 years of experience in the financial market does necessarily give you an advantage. Even economist are proven irrelevant here. When you're just throwing 5% just do your old charting and you'll be good and don't be surprised when you get burned the next day. Just buy on some exchange and do your own strategy.

stocks - it's okay boring
forex - just kill me now boring
crypto - 2 weeks here like 2 years in real life.

Hey, i'm new at this crypto issue,i used to invest in the stock market and now i want to invest around 10k-15k in few coins (bitcoin, dashcoin, ripple)
how do i start ?
there are any recommended companies?
Thanks!!

Before investing your money, read books and join some group with crypto as their topic for your knowledge. Never do something without know anything and how big the risk. For new player, invest in bitcoin is the best thing you have before investing in another coin. Bitcoin is mother coin and everything about it will giving impact to another coin. Take one investment strategy and buy bitcoin on trusted exchanger for safety. Hope you'll get profit on the real market and good luck.

Since you are new in crytocurrency trading, I think you should start buy developing your knowledge on how things work and how coins are being analysis. Many people don't not take this into consideration their always jump into crytocurrency trading because of the little knowledge they have from stock and forex trading. For the coins to go ino, I think bitcoin itself, Ethereum, litecoin, Zcash, lisk and wave. You can buy all this coins at poloniex, bittrex and c-cex.

Yes, Op is an beginner to the crypto community. I believe for every beginner self learning is a must and only through that one can be successful. Just entering into it, and investing upon someone's suggestion is not right. It's good to invest researching about different coins and then make the own decision.

Split 90% of your funds between bitcoin and bitcoin cash, the rest you should invest in cons less than $1,with a good project and development team. Do your research, there are a few. The profits from your bitcoin investment will cover what you invested in the alts within a few months, the rest is a gamble that could pay off big.
Investing your money in Bitcoin cash is bad decision. Bitcoin cash will be falling soon because it won't be like bitcoin price atm. Bitcoin cash just lukcy because it was "created" when segwit/BIP9/hard fork happened on AUG 1. I never believe with this coin because this is same like other altcoins.

Bitcoin, ethereum, dash, waves, iota, ripple, in that order, I didn't watch prices today but I think its going from most expensive to cheapest one. This alts are good, you can trade with them on more then one place, predictions for all this alts are great, you can't make mistake in investing in all this alts, question is which one will bring highest profit in next let's say one year period.
Also take in consideration few new alts, they have sale now, bitdice and betking. Both casinos had investors, they closed that and they made their own coins. Bitdice is in second week and you still have time for 10% discount, betking started in similar time. Check out them and maybe this investments can be good for you.

Since you used to invest in stock market then you have a background in trading and how market play but crypto is way more different than stocks. So its better to do some reading here in the forum before investing into a potential coin but you can buy bitcoin for starters though.

If you are new to the crypto world, I suggest that you should only invest your money in bitcoin or ethereum. Both of them are top coins and they are being used by many people so that you can consider them as safe investments. Nothing needs to be worried when you put your money in those coins

If you're looking to invest in alt coins it's best to look at coinmarketcap and read the alt coins white papers as well as looking at how active their dev team is with their community. However if you're looking for a relatively safe investment I think it's best to put money into established cryptocurrencies like BTC/Etc right now.

I think investing in Bitcoin may not be a good idea now. Though some traders think opposite. As you are new in crypo market I think you should start investing very small amount and start building your confidence and experience. There are lot of alt-coins which are very much under rated this time. You could learn about them any may be invest in one of those.

That is a very big amount to invest your money, and that is a very less experienced person asking this question. I don't know if you have knowledge about the crypto currencies but these are most volatile thing you might see in the world. They fluctuate like very crazy and you may wanna be very choosy while investing into them. You gave considered good coins but there is more than these in this market. Please take little more lessons before you could invest your money. With that kind of money you can earn huge but only if you choose right place to invest in. :-)
