This "feature" is a complete waste of time, while other issues are ignored as the administration is seemingly 'busy'. My badge is boring as well. Roll Eyes

Nah, I love the forum more Cheesy

Happy April Fools. Smiley

It was actually 100% random. Each user got between 1 and 4 coins, with fewer being more likely, and for each you would get a random cryptocurrency. I organized the cryptocurrencies into three tiers according to recognizability/popularity: tier 1 coins were more likely than tier 2 coins, which were more likely than tier 3. Then a random title was added to each coin name. There were a little less than 100 coins in total: I took the top 100 based on market cap and discarded a few that seemed to have never had any real interest.

But as I'd hoped, even though it was random, plenty of people just happened to have badges that were complete matches or mismatches. Smiley

What were the possible titles?

I know I've seen advocate, developer, follower, pooh-bah, flunky and fanboy.

Just an FYI to you guys that would like to see permanent badges, this is why that is a bad idea.

Just an FYI to you guys that would like to see permanent badges, this is why that is a bad idea.

Badges separate people into camps, those camps get more toxic to each other when the other is immediately identified as being part of a disliked camp.

A perfect example of this is Sites where you see Intel and Amd fanboys at each others throat no matter what the topic is just because they are wearing a badge the other doesn't like.

Badges while looking nice creates a toxic environment. You have all seen the Thiscoin VS thatcoin threads in the alt section, those type squabbles would spill over to completely unrelated threads. It would be nice if everyone on the interwebs were all adults that don't pre judge but that is not the world we live in, it's similar to judging someone when you first see them without getting to know them. And there are a significant amount of adults that do this which is a cause of alot of the strife in the world. Now excuse me while I try to figure out how not to give up the river while making the Mexicans pay for my wall. Tongue

I am known as a Dogecoin facilitator, Bitcoin follower and Dash champion. Dash and moreover Dash confirm that they are assignated randomly. However I love this prank !

And I think altcoins that have a badge can be proud as they are recognised by theymos (even though some are very unknown) !
this is hilarious , logged into my account and see something interesting like this .

i would love to see the badge permanently Cheesy seems fit . anyways you may have various badges there , but you can beat mine as bitcoin president , yes i am THE PRESIDENT Cheesy . another nice prank made by this forum.

ETH flunky here. I was wondering what is the meaning of that? Nice one!
Flunky: a person who performs relatively menial tasks for someone else, especially obsequiously.
synonyms:   minion, lackey, hireling, subordinate, underling, servant, retainer, vassal

I don't have any MNL not even a wallet but my badges says so lol.  These badges aren't accurate to which coin I'm really supporting. If it does put the badges of the coin that we actually support I guess that would also help in improving the discussions here in the forum as it already reveals some information form the users we talk talking to. That would help as to why someone why spread FUD to a coin just upon seeing the badges he wears. Smiley  Is there any option to change this badges?
