Would be nice if a bounty can have a guaranteed validity period, e.g. I could place a bounty and promise that it would be valid for 6 months, after which point I would automatically be refunded.  I'm not sure if there's a way to enforce this in Bitcoin script... nLockTime comes to mind, but I'm not sure exactly how it would be done.  Thoughts?

Mixan, those bounties are for real... And will be paid if completed. I may even sweeten the pot at some point.

I'm focussed on tweaking some enhancements right now (have not been promoting it much)

The next "release" planned would enable some arbitration/voting features... So one doesn't have to approve their own bounty, but could 'crowdsource' dispute arbitration (sort of like a jury). Arbitrators would be compensated a small fee for their time.
Dispute resolution, trust, & preventing collusion is essential for the site to work on its own.

Hopefully, it will grow organically as that happens... And (since its bitcoin-only), perhaps even turn some folks onto bitcoin.

Alwin- on your question. "Recovery" is just a chill out period that happens after a dispute... So refunds can be taken without a "claim-troll" causing problems. It's possible this could shrink or go away, if it seems a nuisance or unnecessary.

Awards are permitted if a claim is undisputed or found valid.
We use multisig, so the bounty creator always needs to trigger the award(with their passphrase).

So any bounty can be in one of the following statuses (depending the path it takes):
Open
Claimed
Disputed
Unpaid
Awarded
Recovery

The review periods set time between these statuses.
E.g. I'd create a bounty 'tweet this' with a short review period, because its easy to verify. I'd create a bounty 'Write a short story about Chtulu' with longer period... To allow time to read, verify terms were met.

There is no doubt that this is a good website but under the recent activities what do you mean by recovery and awarded.

There are some weird requests for jobs in the last time I was here.

I must say the site looks very fresh, I really like the theme and the colors and really loved the video and the way it popped up and explained everything in a very smart way. I was hoping to catch some bounties like twitter stuff but they were already claimed by someone else. Oh well, I'll keep an eye out and hopefully will be able to find some new ones. Good work, I replicated the initial shoutout efforts on twitter, even for my half English half Spanish follower pool, the words are kinda universal.   Bounties... and it's equivalent in Spanish, "recompensa".

as the site grows eventually with a lot of differentiated bounties, you might want to induce a classification system somehow by hashtags, and so letting your followers know about the precise kind of activity or field the bounty is given at. Hey, it's too early to plan, but hopefully this works for inspiration.
