You will rarely see only altcoin based websites, when they exist, usually they are ethereum based ones which includes some kind of smart contracts which I can't understand what has to do with gambling.
Ethereum smart contracts and DApps have been a revolutionary change in the system. Lets see where they reach as their acceptance increases and token prices as well.

Coin limit can only affect business, so I have no idea why will someone reject bitcoin and accept ripple, doge and etc, it will only affect owner's profit.
Say, a developer is trying to market and popularize the certain altcoin that he/she has developed and so they open a new dice site which allows only that altcoin to be used for rolls. This is a good example of how it would not affect profit much but would help market it. Or a faucet that allows that altcoin only to be dispensed.

On another hand, this website is bitcoin based, so there are more boards for bitcoin and only a little edge is given for altcoins.
But they can still make a difference given them the time and the proper audience.

That would be the ANN section.

It's already there. Close your eyes and place a bet. Odd's are kind of stacked against you right now though.

Can we have new board in altcoin for altcoin gambling sites?
Are you aware that primedice and stake are no longer bitcoin-only sites and they allow altcoins to be played? Crypto-games and Bitsler have allowed the for some time now. Till date there has been no change either by relocation or duplication of their Announcement threads than one which is already present in the "Gambling" section.

For those sites which are strictly altcoin based gambling maybe we can do with the "Service Announcements (Altcoins)" section but a separate section for Altcoin Economies would be nice.

This is a bitcoin forum so things tend to be biased that way. Grin

I was thinking the same. Most gambling sites support alts alongside Bitcoin (thus are covered by the regular gambling section) and the only gambling site I can think of that supports only alts is just-dice which have their thread in the alt coin service announcement section.

Are there really that many other alt-only crypto gambling websites? Serious question, I'm not very familiar with the alt coin scene.

I would like to see a junior board in the alt section. 10 merits to post on the main alt discussion. Instant removal of 90% of the spam.

To be honest I wouldn't really endorse this idea, considering the fact we're still currently battling with clearing up the pile of shot posts in the Altcoin discussion section, creating another boards will simply be doubling the work we'll have to do on that section

Opening new sections means hiring new moderators /or use the existing/.
Altcoin boards are already drawn in spam so the mods will have more to deal with.
Isn't it better to reduce the spam instead of making a new place to spam?

There is a difference between sites that accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment and websites that are built directly on blockchain platforms like Ethereum and EOS. The so-called dApps.

The idea is that these platforms can support a variety of games and gambling using smart contracts. I think it's about these dApps that op would like to have an exclusive section. But I may be wrong.

Could we have a new process of choosing new boards?

There is a certain demand for some new boards, especially those related to altcoins, like this one for gambling. I wish I could write on an exclusive board of altcoins that are traded on the major exchanges. Instead of a board that accepts comments on everything, including projects that do not exist.

This is what I keep asking for... It would be nice to have one of those to discuss established coins like ethereum, doge, litecoin and “bitcoin cash”.

Can we have new board in altcoin for altcoin gambling sites?

I didn’t think there were me any gambling sites that support individual altcoins and not bitcoin as their primary coin. Maybe I’m going to be corrected but...

From time to time new altcoin gambling site appears, I am not really sure how many of them are out there but they do exist and since we have altcoin section I thought it would be good to have gambling board separated.  Smiley

Gambling is a child board under Economy > Marketplace.
It is not under Bitcoin section, hence I think it's a general board and can accommodate altcoins as well.

This is completely misleading information. This is a Bitcoin forum and all subforums except for local boards and the dedicated altcoin boards are about Bitcoin. Altcoins do not belong under economy or any other board in the main Bitcoin forum. Altcoins only belong in the altcoin boards.

The altcoin section could definitely have more boards and child boards. This could attract other members who shy away from the spam and general discussion in most on the altcoin existing boards.

If it is to be implemented I propose strict moderation from the start. The forum management would need to out their feet on the ground against spam.
And make sure the new board is set right, from the start.

This was suggested and discussed earlier here- Where to run a spam free bounty campaign? [new board?]
But it seems no one is interested enough to have it. In my opinion, some more board should also be there same as marketplace (bitcoin).

Good idea, but I think it's not likely that theymos will add. There was some requests to add altcoins begginers and help, altcoin technical support boards, but there was no reaction from theymos. Probably he don't see big demand for these additional boards. Also, new boards would require to have dedicated mods, but as we can see some already existing boards don't have dedicated mods

I am pretty sure altcoin section has its own marketplace.

Since when?

I forget to mention in topic, under altcoin gambling should be "altcoin investor based games" for all these smart contract "transparent" ponzi scams  Grin
