China also makes some of the most widely used Bitcoin miners too.
They might try to control it (mostly impossible) but banning it IS impossible.

the only new news that could possible come out of china now is GOOD news
same as gox news

both fucked things for a time in worst case scenarios
theyre done now

personally i don't even consider either and as finished
so anything new could only be good

there is so much new good bitcoin news coming out every day, i consider btc and alts wildly underpriced.
autumn is gonna be good  Grin

the next top wont be 1200, it will be nearer 3000 when it comes imo, with many little tricks on way to scare weak hands,
then may stabilise around 1500 - 2000 mark

At this moment, people can still deposit money to account at Chinese BTC Exchanges.

So there isnt even really a proper ban? Just restrictions on certain things?
You will quickly discover that china bans bitcoin about once a month  Wink

It is indeed very often in the news (from the forum):
China’s Central Bank Governor: PBOC Won’t Ban Bitcoin - april 2014
China bitcoin ban is FAKE DONT PANIC!! - march 2014
China's Central Bank warning Banks on Bitcoin - may 2014
China central bank warns banks against use of bitcoin - december 2013
BTC China Endgame?? - december 2013
etc

It would be great to get China truly on board for an enormous increase in volume - but if they ban everything then well we can go on without them.

the amount of non chinese with non chinese banks that use btcchina is negligible.. meaning it has no impact on the western world.

the amount of FUD this time wont cause price panic like before.

also we know its FUD, why else would bobbylee offer new features, trading platforms and website updates if he knows he is being shut down..

The weak Chinese players left the market ages ago, the people still into btc there don't care what the pboc says about exchanges. If they really do 'ban' its going to be much harder to get in China. Price will probably rise.

i dont think china really matters that much anymore, they dont have any businesses accepting bitcoin.  The only thing matters is chinese investment into what the ROW are dong with bitcoin.

This is not the news. The real new is VC's entrace into bitcoin, price volatility at the exchanges! Some whales are playing us!

Yawn indeed China Ban's only work so many times before the market gets bored of it
Now if this was brought up six months from now again with a refreshing twist Tongue
In other words China needs to stop crying wolf all the time with its ban
