I dont really get it, is it something like the winner will be the one who make the most bets or the highest amount in single bet or the one who have the highest wagered amount during the competition?

It is needed imho, participant will have the guarantee that they will be paid if they win. Not mentioning that you wont pay, but for better competition you need to escrow it since your site is still new here.
