You can get better themes than that on free forum softwares,  not even accounting the several donations that people have given to these forums.

If that is the new forum, I'd be just as mad as you!
The UI looks crap, and to be honest, it just isn't worth the months and months we've been waiting for a new layout.

Too bad tho, it's not up to us.

A forum isn't just the layout and interface. It's all that goes on behind the scenes as well. I would give more importance to all that working well. Besides, like they said, that layout is just for testing, not the final version yet.

Am I the only one who reads a thread before replying?! I understand that enzyme would post without thinking since they're getting paid for it though.

UI design hasn't yet begun. Thats just a placeholder so that the forum can be built/tested.

It has been said before. The design is not final, it is a placeholder. Come on guys/gals, read up on the subject before you reply!

July 2015 is not “almost 2016”. Relax a little.

Maybe the admin should make a poll to see what users want, new forum look or stick with the one right now or at least similar, after all we are the ones that are going to use it, i think our opinion should matter.

Polls can be manipulated easily using alts.

Please do note:

There maybe some more changes.

Note that the software is not yet feature-complete (in particular, the Web design is far from done), and the public repository doesn't contain everything already done.

FWIW I like the look of the current forum, it feels like home.  Maybe it looks out of date, out of style, and lacks a certain slick interface typical of newer websites.  But you know what, many old cars are out of style, but still sought after.  My vote is to keep the look similar or the same.

I like the current forum too, I don't see any reason to change this one. I hate new stuff, I'm very much a man of habit Grin. If it's a security issue etc then fair enough but if it's just to upgrade the forum to make it look better then I'd really much prefer to stick with what we've got.
There are lots of bugs with this forum, thats why they are changing it, lets hope they will have a old school theme where the forum will look as it does now

What do you want from a forum software?
"Lots of colorful things looks good, flying sliders etc" or "Accessing to the information easily"?

depends on the features. if it has a notification system, encrypted p2p messenger, and some other neat stuff most are familiar with I'd totally like it.
