Next New England Bitcoin Meetup (18th consecutive) is Sunday, November 4, 6:30pm at Strange Brew Tavern in Manchester, NH. Everybody in the area is welcome. Feel free to PM me for details.

At our last meetup, we had a 1,000 USD to BTC cash transaction!

Shire Bitcoin Meetup #15

Still going strong! This our 15th consecutive weekly meetup. Last week we took it on the road to Pao Cafe in Newmarket, NH, where we paid for everything in bitcoins. This week we're back to home base:

Strange Brew Tavern, Manchester, NH :  Saturday, Oct 13, 6:30pm

We welcome bitcoiners from all over the area: Boston and Mass, Maine, Vermont, and of course anybody who happens to be here for leaf peeping. If you want to buy or sell bitcoins at the meetup, let me know and we'll try to come prepared.

I'll be out of the country for a couple of weeks after that, but when I get back, we're going to take this on the road to Portsmouth, and hopefully Boston.

I haven't forgotten you,  crazyates. I'll start organizing the  seacoast meetup this week and see if I can drum up some interest. Anybody else here in New England? We're desperately searching for Boston bitcoiners, especially if you're at one of the universities. Come on, I know you're out there!

Haha it's all cool. I just don't feel like driving very far Tongue

Montreal is a bit far, but if you ever did a seacoast one in Portsmouth or somewhere, I'd be there!

Good to know, I'll put out some feelers over there and see if we can set one up. Also, I hear some of the BitInstant guys might go up to Montreal, too. Could be epic Smiley

Manchester is about an hour away from me (So ME), but maybe I'll shoot down for one of these get-togethers sometime!

Sweet! We'd love to have you. I wouldn't mind doing one in Maine one of these weeks if we can get enough people up there (would be good for the seacoast folks, too). Also, some of us are planning on going to the Montreal meetup. Let me know if you're interested.

We had the best meetup yet! About 25 people came this time and we decided to start a more technically-inclined weekly offshoot in addition to the regular meetup.

I signed the FSP commitment statement at least 12 years ago....before the state selection actually. But I haven't been active on the forums for a long time. I do know some people who moved recently.
I meant Manchester, specifically.

Oh, the main reason I moved to Manchester is because I thought it would be the best place to have a brick and mortar store, because of the relatively large population, central location in NH, and proximity to Boston.

I may be doing the same thing in the not too distant future. If so, I look forward to meeting the rest of you guys. Did you choose Manchester because of the FSP population or was it the natural choice for other reasons?

Awesome, we need more bitcoiners! PM me if you need any more info about FSP, if you want to join Facebook pages or forums, etc. NH was a pretty good choice because of the location, low taxes and lower bureaucracy than most places, but the Libertarian population was probably the biggest factor.

Many of us disagree with the choice of location and do not attend based on that alone.

error, are you referring to the Bitcoin Meetup or the FSP?
