Why dont you keep a seminar or live conference and connect with people interested online by joining it via google hangout etc and you explain you future plans, business proposals etc about it.

because no one ever comes to this thread, it has been more than three months since it has had a visit or reply.  you cannot expect people to devote time and energy to something that no one cares about

So here is the idea
We are a media company with offices located in both Mainland China and Hong Kong.
We are planning to create a new digital currency (COINS)for example 100 Millions units but selling only 10 millions to public with the company holding the remaining units.
Each unit of the coin issued by the company has the right to receive 100 millionth of future dividend.
They can also be traded in exchanges.
The coins are totally different from stock, but owners of the coins can receive report of company's daily management business and decision making through different channels.
We are planning to sell it at the end of june.
Any opinions are greatly appreciated. Huh

what did you want the opinions on? the company itself?  if so, that has nothing directly to do with bitcoin right?  not saying that is bad, just looking for the connections other than bitcoin is funding it

We are exactly looking for ideas about how can we connect bitcoin with our company other than merely through fundings. We as a company really want to take advantage and step into the advanced technology world.

So, you failed to qualify to launch a regular IPO?
As the company manager, I like the idea of selling only 10% of capital, but as an investor, I fear it.
Sorry, but the world already has way too many altcoins, and it would be stupid in a new one which would be restricted to a single project.

No, we didn't fail to launch a regular IPO.
The reason we are doing this is because we want to take advantage of the advanced technology nowadays. We seek to move away from the traditional ways of crowdfunding. Selling stocks cost too many extra fees. We want to create a new way for people to invest in our company.
We are seeking investors who believe in the internet/media industry. Significant investors receive annual report of the company and get a understanding of the company's current and future plans. You are pretty investing in our company. The coins grant you the rights to receive dividend but not voting rights.

The coins are totally different from stock, but owners of the coins can participate in company's daily management business and decision making through different channels.

So this is similar to The Dao?

Not exactly.
Dao is pretty much taking your money to invest in different projects. In our case, you are investing in our company, iSunMedia.
Owners with significant amount of our coins will receive annual report of the company. We are seeking investors with similar value and together make the company grow better which increases the value of the new digital currency we are creating.

what are the legal implications? How can people be sure you wont just run with their money? Tell us more about business

Our company is called iSunMedia

Since 2000, we have been operating Sun TV, a mandarin satellite TV channel based in Hong Kong with a broadcast coverage of global Chinese.

Built upon the brand image and credibility of Sun TV as well as its over 30 million loyal audience who are mostly Chinese elites, we develop a New Media with both historical programs and reports focusing in future technologies and social developments, with features in Live/On-demand broadcast, TV-to-Online e-commerce, Big Data Application and Social Media Network.

Besides the Satellite and Online TV Channels, we operate a number of online and mobile platforms, including crowdfunding platform, crowdfunding information portal and e-commerce platform.
We provide our audience, consumers, the crowd-investors and merchants with information services, so that they can conduct commerce and crowdfunding activities in our “SUN” ecosystem.

We have a list of names and information of our founders and management team members.
We are a legit media company. Here is our company website: http://www.isunmedia.com/en/

We can't and won't just run away with investor's money since it harms our reputation.

The reason we are doing this is because we want to be the first media company to take advantage of the advanced technology nowadays. We seek to move away from the traditional ways of crowdfunding. Selling stocks cost too many extra fees. We want to create a new way for people to invest in our company.

If you have let say 800 BTC for investing in advertising, plus let say another 800 BTC for investing in exchanges, you can start, why not.  Grin

You might just want to consider using a token/asset coin that's already out there to do this for you, like counterparty. https://counterparty.io/docs/assets/#assets
If you start your own coin, you need to consider all the mechanics behind it and have the capability to maintain and run it properly. There's also the element of trust on the dividends you're going to pay out respective of the sale of your coins for bitcoin. ICO's are very popular, but most are for systems that involve the coins themselves as a development platform.  If your coin is tied to the way in which your sell your product, that might be more interesting, as an example, if you like gettyimages and sold media for the coins themselves.

That sound good, but... Is the same that company shares. The owners of the share get money from the incomes of companys, but having tokens, how do you get money?. You have to explain better the bussiness model.

The coins only grant them the rights to receive future dividend. Coin owners do not own the company at all but they can participate in daily management business in order to increase the value of the coins so they can sell it in the exchange market. We are planning to sell our coins for BTC.
