Just had a question. Ive been working on some ideas that may or may not work with bitcoin and other coins. The problem is I do not know who to contact to suggest these ideas. I'm just a average Joe with no programming exp. and one particular idea I have will really improve how people send and receive things over the block chain. Please if anyone could possible point me in the right direction with someone who can discuss my ideas I know they will be a great help to bitcoins future.
you are right may by some big company's can, like blockchain or so, but still that is not sure I think.

If your ideas are really valuable then contact those with things close to those ideas "for example if it's something related to exchanging try contacting coinbase or the like and telling something about it" I think it would be good to come with new ideas.

It is very easy to realize what do you want. First you must decide the team in which will "join" because for the moment are two the teams that take care about it: bitcoin core and bitcoin classic (or you can chose both). Then send your ideas to them If have value for sure they will contact you. Below the two links of contacts with them:

https://bitcoin.org/en/development

https://bitcoinclassic.com/

Good luck and thanks to think about bitcoin.

bitcoin is leadershipless at this point. This is sad but I think it is quite true.
Find someone else make your own coin and if it is good, it will take off like ETH.
Even ETH, in the longer run, nobody knows if it will stick. So good luck.

Stop shilling for ETH in threads not based on Alt coins. It's off-topic and should be deleted in my opinion. There are many legitimate platforms to raise your questions or post your ideas, if you are willing to share it. Go
here for technical discussion : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0 and if you want to create a new coin, go here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0
Getting some developer to listen to you, is very difficult because they are busy with their own projects and stopping people from stealing your idea, is just as difficult.

how about come to some bitcoin community meeting event in your place so you can meet so many bitcoin users or even an owner of a big bitcoin company,so you can both have more friends and have the contact of important person

That's a good plan to have good contact with bitcoin users, also can get in-depth information regarding the growth of bitcoin in various views. If such programs were organized, who is gonna take responsibility.

A good idea would be just busting those ideas out here in the open. I'm pretty sure someone will have something smart to say about it.

I don't think a regular joe can change something about bitcoin
Nearly everyone who changes something about bitcoin is a regular joe.

You can ask someone in the service section to join you.

Problems is you don't know who you can trust with your idea. If it is really good, the may run away with it as they can be anonymous.

Yeah, Regular Joe is not going to make a difference. But I still believe in you....actually, not really. But good luck anyway.

There is really no one that you can tell those ideas that you have to. You can maybe talk to Satoshi Nakamoto, the only problem is that no one knows who he/she is. Other than that, you can maybe tell us but it won't change Bitcoin.

if you want to develop it into a business and keep your idea a secret until release. then you will need to go to the development section and hire some programmers. probably get them to sign contracts to keep quiet until trademarks and copyrights are in place.. which can cost a bit.

but if you want to develop a free service that simply helps bitcoins usefulness, then just talk about your project openly here or in the development section and ask for volunteers to help you build it.

Technical improvements can be discussed here on the forum (there is specific sub-forum dedicated to this), on the mailing-list or places like IRC. If you are new it's recommend to read the older threads, mailinglist, etc. to make sure these topics haven't already been discussed.

this is why there are altcoin, you first create one and put your idea there, if it is really good, it can then be implemented in bitcoin if consensus is reached

or you can simpy try with testnet

Well, there's all kinds of room for novel ideas.  The world of cryptography and digital currency has always been evolving but it's evolving now at a pace that's extremely hard to keep up with.  I would wager that around this time next year there'll be processes working that aren't even imagined right now.  The turing capabilities and smart contract functions of some of the new platforms is unbelievable.  See Ethereum, Bitshares...etc.

So, throw your ideas around a bit in the appropriate thread and they may stick.  The wonderful thing about these projects is that they're community based and open source.  The developers are constantly checking in and throwing ideas around.

I think it depends what you want to do with your ideas meaning do you want to turn it into a business and or just improve the overall bitcoin experience?

If you want to turn it into a business then you will have to find somebody already involved with bitcoin and or possibly a venture capital firm to pitch your ideas to them together with a business plan. If a business is not your idea then just share it here on the forum, there are many knowledgeable members on here who will gladly contribute to your ideas should they really offer an improvement to the existing bitcoin environment.
