It's not the passphrase that is encrypted, it's your wallet
And to answer you, you just can't

^Correct,I was playing around with the new encryption scheme by I0 coin and entered a pass to see how it worked but now can't remember said phrase.I was wondering where I might be able to find said phrase.
I'm pretty sure you're out of luck. If you lose the passphrase you can't decrypt the wallet.

Wouldn't merge mining push the exchange rate for that blockchain down to near zero? If I'm in a pool that is mining BTC and I0, I will keep my usual BTC then exchange any I0 to btc/usd.
IMO, merged mining is not a good idea. It would drive the I0Coin difficulty above the BTC difficulty if it weren't for shorter block times (the shorter block times do help, but have the same effect). If BTC difficulty were higher than I0Coin difficulty, then miners would profit by submitting pure-i0 blocks as well as i0-btc double-blocks. This will make solidcoin algo useless (except for slow rises, which is disputable since the rapid increase in hashing power would provide 0-security blocks and chains).

Anyway, maybe i0coin needs to release a great huge awesome new release on sept 1st!
Why? Well dunno...
Solidcoin planned to release his new release on this day, and our beloved nasakioto thought that if he released his own shitty new version on the same day it will bring some glory to it
So... As I0coin is a ixcoin fork, why not?

I'm going to see if I can integrate the merged mining patch from namecoin into iocoin.. but that won't be till later this weekend, and it's have to be scheduled (and frankly voted on by the miners since it will require upgrades and a choice of a future block to go live)..

merged mining is the only thing that will save the alt chains...   IE, imagine if you could mine iocoin, namecoin, and bitcoin all simultaneously with the same hash strength.
It was just a joke but nice idea!
Looks like it works well on Namecoin testnet http://dot-bit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=269

As for the block#, I think it's not critical to chose now, we can vote after we are sure it works in testnet

Did anyone noticed the i0coin forum is full of spam? I think that should have been fixed first.

http://forum.i0coin.org/index.php?board=2.0
Why? Every Bitcoin fork use this subforum and not their own forum anyway

SolidCoin has a clean Forum, no Spam and quite a few active Users:
http://solidcointalk.org/  Grin
And yet there are tons of solidcoin related posts other here, which was my point

Just FYI, i was the one who published the new windows binaries.. but you are right ArtForz is the one who contributed the code.

I went to re-visit the last few pages, and decided to split the bounty.
you deserve at least half of the bounty(which is not much at all compared to what you have done)
here's 200.123 coins on the way.

Also I recommend whoever benefiting from this revival sending them a little tip as well.
After all,  if it wasn't for them all your coins was worth nothing,

Nice, I've linked to you from the exchange. Yes, I'll work on a server ping method, it's a good idea.

i will be prepared for this.

thanks for link, could you add also link to http://www.ixc2btc.com (IX mirror) ?

i added fixed market depth calculated by last price.
on I0 market it is:

buyers can buy 74.543 I0 coins, sellers have 82.144 I0Coins

buyers have 188.59 BTC, sellers can sell all for  211 BTC

Smiley

so market is shallow now

doublec, can you ping my server by f.ex. form GET method ?
i will be getting data from api only after new orders issued, and use cache on my mirrors

I found the problem: all the trades between 01:19:14 and now aren't in the api data
If you mean the '/api/t' URL, it's cached at 60 minutes. '/api/t2' is cached at 10 seconds.
Thanks
