Yes i did and i think it confirmed that something is wrong with my miner. I was initially using slushpool and it was showing the miner as offline so I tried nicehash and it did show up and actually showed up as working but it did not actually mine anything after being on for a few hours. Thanks for suggested that though, I was surprised nicehash viewed it as an online miner.

Electrical engineer. Mining since 2014.
Have you checked that there are no typos in the pool setting fields?

Have you tried other pools?

Thank you for sharing that link. I will start digging into that now.

Does it seem most likely that this is a problem with the miner itself?

I don't have much experience with this miner but let me try to help you.

I tried to search for some solution and found this one below. It will help you to troubleshoot the problem including a guide on how to repair them.

I recently purchased an Avalon Miner 821 and bought the PSU from Blokforge and a Raspberry Pi3 controller from ParallelMiner. I have been able to connect to the Lucia interface and retrieve the worker information on Slushpool but cannot get the miner to no longer be on the "Off" state in slush pool. I think I configured the network and miner correctly, because slush pool is identifying the workers but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it working correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The light status on my AUC converter is green. The miner is showing a yellow light status. My controller is showing both the green and yellow light. When I check the CGMiner API Log I see this error:

Code:
[Firmware Version] => Avalon Firmware - 20180305
    luci: 62d814c
    cgminer: b5b497e
    cgminer-packages: 960e108
Socket connect failed => Connection refused

When I look at the most recent system log I see these errors:

Code:

Does anyone have any recommendations on what I can do to get this miner up and running?

Thank you so much in advance.
