Like I said it only since early this morning 10:38 utc]
have you gotten a confirmed payment to your bitcoin account since then ?
I'm just wondering  .. esp with the changes that were put in place

Why is it taking so long to confirm payment from this pool ?
my payment less than 30 minutes earlier from slush was confirmed 50 times already
There was no  problem on past payments
They were there in a few hrs.    this has been 7hrs with out any confirmations
Is there some problem Huh

mine get confirmed at a normal rate Huh

Hello I am new here from the past couple days.  I have a question after seeing how long it takes to get the payout:

This is what my profile says:

Earnings -
Est. Earnings:      0.26690391
Unconfirmed:      0.32957912
Historical:      0.40150722
Unpaid Earnings:      0

Yet when I look at my account... wait a minute!

I was just about to ask why my account hadn't been paid out to yet even though it says it has under historical (i'm assuming), but I just checked and had received new payments pending... new question! Grin

Those blocks were confirmed yesterday, does it usually take 12+ hours to receive payment even after a block has been confirmed, or is there unusual strain to the system causing delays?  I was just curious because it seemed like it would have been really fast right after a block had been confirmed.

Thanks!

Bitcoin News - Friday, Mar 25, 2011
Network Hashing Difficulty adjusted to 68,979, a decrease of more than 9%.

Seems to have helped us a lot

woot 3 blocks in like 7 hours with ~10Gh/s only, how lucky are we

I know! We're actually solving blocks (average time for past 5 blocks) about 49%% faster than we should be, based on the average time shown on Bitcoin Calculator, for the 11Ghash/s speed of the pool at the time I checked.

Difficulty Factor:   68978.8924579
Hash Target:    3.90837462452E+62
Hash Rate (khps): 11000000

Probability   Time
Average   7 hours, 28 minutes
50%           5 hours, 11 minutes
95%           22 hours, 24 minutes

Our actual average round duration from the last 5 blocks is: 3 hours 49 minutes

Lots of luck!  Grin

yes the difficulty drop helped, but as geebus said, we are still way above average, and on top of that another block was found in 3h something since my post

Your payouts seem to be taking a long time right now, I have one that has been "0/unconfirmed" for almost 16 hours now. I guess this is because of the large backlog of free transactions? (Viewable at http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/)

Could you make sure that you include your own payouts in the blocks your pool mints? (I think the other pools may be doing this now.)

What are unpaid earnings?

"Unpaid Earnings" is the amount of BTC held on the server for you until your payment threshold is met, and the server makes a payment to you.

Think of it like this...

You work a job where you make a few dozen dollars a day, but you only get paid once a week on payday.

In this case, the "few dollars a day" is actually, "a few bitcoins per round" and "once a week on payday" is "when your payment threshold is met".

So, if you have a threshold set to 1.0, you'll have to earn a total of 1.01 bitcoins before the server pays you.

Payments are only processed at the time a solved block is confirmed.

What exactly is the payout threshold? Is that where you set how much BTCs you have saved up until it pays out? What would you recommend to set it at?

You are correct.  By default we set it to 0.01 when you signup.  Some people have requested the ability to change this, and now you can. Smiley

We have hit ~10 Ghash/s and we found 3 blocks today!  WOOT!  Grin

Here's some stats about how well the server is handling all this work.
  • The server is running directly on hardware dedicated to this pool.  It is not running on a VPS on a over loaded server like some other pools.
  • At about 10 Ghash/s, it's only using ~ 14KBytes/s of bandwidth. We can handle 51,200KB/s, or ~3,600 Ghash/s at this ratio.
  • CPU usage is anywhere between 100-200% (Quad-core can handle 400% at max capacity).
  • Memory is using about 6.5GB out of 12GB.
  • We have a 1TB drive, and it's nowhere close to being full.

All and all, I would say that the server is doing very well and can handle more traffic, so tell your friends about us.  We're ready to take all the traffic and users we can get.  Remember, we're the only pool not charging fees, we're running on dedicated hardware, and have a direct fiber connection to the internet which gives us an extremely low latency and high bandwidth.

I would like to say THANK YOU to all the miners on our pool that are using our modified miner.  Because of you, the load and resources used are substantially lower than what they would be if you used a different miner.  Thank you, thank you very much.
