So, we have a new scam schema in the forum, and want to give a warning to the community.
Users create an account and make a post offering $17 to test their casino as we can see in the image:
Then they told you, to withdraw you only have to place a bet, your bet will win, and after that, they will ask you for a depo to verify your account and that way you will be able to withdraw.
And i know this because i get scammed by them some weeks ago, i think it worth the risk to lose 0.01 for the chance to withdraw 0.7btc... I lose that money and learn the lesson, but if the forum doesn't stop these fuckers lot of user will get scammed with this schema. So, be careful people because they will not stop creating accounts and spamming.

I'm not sure this is something new on the forum, but only this time it has a bit bigger proportions than before. Victims of such scams are usually inexperienced persons and probably 90% of them never even report that they are scamed. This time you fell into the trap, and it is easy to say now that you should know how old is this trick.

I can say it is much older then BTC, works on same scheme as Nigerian scam. To get promised prize you only need to deposit some money as proof of identity, and when you done that it is game over. Scamed users sometimes ask why they can not get their money and get scamed again because they are asked for one more deposit, because first one is stuck.

I agree with you that we should prohibit link posting for Brand New&Newbie accounts, forum would have more benefit than harm from such rule.

Please also visit this link - DO NOT INSTALL THE ADDON!!!

Just click on "Report Abuse" and report it to Google - the more reports the faster this scam file would get off Google's website.

That addon has been decoded, now we know how the thief works https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.48638228

But, agree with you, we should report it!

Thanks for the info guys, i just update the first post adding a list of the known sites of this schema, if you have another site to add to the list, please post it here and I will update it.

I will not open another thread on Scam Accusations section because 'cryoser' already open one:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/scam-alert-httpscryptonbet-5038504

Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Trading Discussion > Scam Accusations (Moderator: Cyrus) > SCAM ALERT https://crypton.bet

I just found this thread, there is someone on the forums spamming his links to death, and every time the mods delete his account he posts with a new one. I hope people at least understand how a newbie account has nothing to lose, and trusting to use any service of theirs is most of the time going to be a shot in the foot.

I would like to add that whoever uses online wallets, then installs an unverified chrome extension, and logins to their online wallet using that extension.... was a disaster waiting to happen in the first place. Please increase your security, if you HAVE TO use online wallets or exchanges, only use ones that use 2FA or at least send you an e-mail whenever you want to do an action. It might be frustrating but it will save your money in case of anything like this. And don't ever install anything you're not confident of what it does, and of its source..

I feel sad for you and @Get-paid.com, but I can't feel sorry for you though. The naïveness involved to make such a mistake is not one of a crypto-holder.

Strange, report is still unhandled. In meantime:

Hey.

Website: https://btcroulette.eu/

How to get a bonus?

Enter this code: KOLO2019 in settings (promocode) https://btcroulette.eu/ )

IF YOU WANT WITHDRAW WITHOUT DEPOSIT, YOU NEED WRITE TO SUPPORT: "Hello, I want deposit" but before it you need to play one game in roulette from bonus money.

What is the reason for the site to give me a free bonus? This is a lie? - not. This website is absolutely unique and has no analogues. Players playing against other players, not versus website, and the website will to receives a commission of 10% for each game and each withdrawal, 5% of this commission is invested by the website to invite new players.

So they edited another thread with new site, changed crypton-exchange with btcroulette.

Brand new account popped in to spam crypton-exchange:

Hey.

Website: https://crypton-exchange.net

How to get a bonus?

Enter this code: HAPPY2019 in settings (promocode) https://crypton-exchange.net/profile#promocode_page )

Unbelievable, you as a legendary member is not as good as a beginner!
I met the same experience as you, but fortunately, I posted a question at Beginners & Help and avoided scam.
Someone on discord recommended me to gamble on a website and gave me a referral code. After that I won 0.6 BTC. When I withdraw, the website prompts "New user. Your balance have been frozen until you make a deposit. Need to make a Deposit 0.1 BTC!"
The URL of this website is here, please help me check if it is a scam.
https://bitcoinxbet.org/

I have not deposited any money so far, because my principle is not to deposit on unfamiliar websites.
It seems that sometimes high rank does not mean smarter.

Is there a way to automatically scrape their respective links as well [might come in handy, except for nuked users]?
I saved the links, so I could add it (it's a bit more work though). I'm still waiting for Vod's (BPIP) list of all banned accounts, which would make it much easier to remove the nuked ones from such a list.

"seoincorporation", you might want to include the following link to "OP": SCAM ALERT
  • I reported them last month [#3 on my second post] + other users post/report similar "scam" websites on the above thread.

I spotted the same style few months ago. I even have a scam accusation thread (too lazy to find it). To me it's not a new one however good discovery from your side.

What i want to propose is to block Brand new and newbies accounts to post links.
This will be too much for the Brand new and newbies. We need to encourage new members.

By the way, here is another one just posted LOL

Now while goin to withdraw he ask me to install the extension on this site - https://cryptocashback.org/#

Just read what it does LoL now Im scared to withdraw but I might try with an empty wallet.

I have merited you on the previous thread (which has been thrashed) because of the fair warning you give to the community. But I don't know that you're dumb to fall for this trap Cheesy. As @LoyceV said, don't do it.

Installing shady extensions is how you compromise your browser. Just don't do it!

The extension they ask you to install, is an extension who work with blockchain.com wallet, if you install the extension they will have access to all your addys.

The site where i get scammed was btcrolling, and after reviewing the site i was able to inject code. You can even inject code in your username, so that site is ready to get defaced.

We would be happy to see no one else getting scammed neither, but HOW?!
By simply controlling the greed of grabbing any thing that look like free/easy money

Why won't we collectively contact the domain/registrar where he creates all these scam sites and get him arrested once and for all?!

How Domain registrar is in fault ? Did you checked that business was registered or not? Did business looked legit? Did business model was sustainable?
if answer to any one of question is "NO" then do not deal with it.
