As a newbie you need lots to research about cypto and also make your eyes open about fakes and scam. I would advise you not to keep your cyptocurrency on exchange as it could be hacked anytime.

Firstly stay aware of the pitfalls exist on the internet and be selective about what you read and believe. To start with crypto you will need to buy major coin for the investment and hold it and hope it rises value over time.

Cryptocurrency market shows a small recovery and it shows that bear market has temporary ended. I think this might be a good start for the crypto market in gaining it's momentum to a much further increase in the coming weeks. Investors are now at least slightly comfortable with the situation we're in now.

Hi! I'm a complete newbie to the bitcoin community. Do you guys have any recommendations on what I should be doing first? Would truly appreciate any advice you can provide. Smiley
Being a newbie is very greasy and exciting feeling and you will feel very new to this place but you have to learn a lot before investing into these crypto as when I was a newbie I have been told few things that I still remember and the foremost thing is that these crypto currencies are very volatile in nature and thus their valuation keeps on flactuation but you have to invest very wisely that when to buy and sell your coin and obviously you can take your decision emotionally as emotion can hinder your path to success.

If you are newbie to the forum the best thing to do is read up the forum beginners help and get use to couple of dos and donts in the forum, the advantage of that is that it can help you find the right info when you need them, and also help you focus your time to things that are more important in the forum while ignoring the irrelevant matters

This would be a good place to start with: Things you shouldn't miss as a newbie: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.44328089

First go to youtube and watch some videos of Andreas Antonopoulos. Get them all into a playlist and watch them. THis will give you some basic understanding of the topic.
Next you should get a wallet. Bitcoin core or Electrum are the best. Get into an exchange like Coinbase and buy some Bitcoins. You can just buy $100 in Bitcoin or even less if you want. Get some and learn how to send and receive, how to use qr codes, how to set fees and so on. These are the basics.

How new and what do you want to learn?

We have a crypto currency site geared towards
1. Newbies in crypto and
2. Online gambling sites (mostly avoiding the scams)

If your post is just about the forums, maybe the best advice is to only post and follow the areas you are keen on and avoid all the arguments Smiley

When if you are a newbie, first you need to understand how bitcoin works, or simple what is the cycle of bitcoin, or even the simple terms in bitcoin in order for you know what is the process. With this it will serve as a good foundation to you crypto career. Bitcoin will grow more in future therefore it is the right place at the right time.

Yeah, we try to start with the basics of "what is bitcoin" without all the FOMO most sites claim EVERYONE needs to buy Bitcoin. Some people really don't have a need for it now and there's no problem with standing on the sidelines, seeing if Bitcoin stores value like it's intended. If bitcoin isn't going anywhere, people can always "get in" a couple years from now.
